1979 Ford Bronco 4x4
Hello,
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Dan Profitt and I am an avid motorsport enthusiast and have been playing with cars, trucks, and other toys for over 22 years. I am not a dealer and I am not a "flipper" in the traditonal sense. When I see something of interest, I try my best to buy it, maybe play with it, maybe add to it, or maybe just sell it and market it to the correct crowd.
That being said, this is one of the nicest 79 Bronco's you will find on the planet! There are not too many people that have been taking the time and spending the big money on restorations of old Ford trucks. This particular Bronco restoration started out as a 99 percent rust free example and is now truly stunning! The paint, trim and body are awesome! I have pictures of the truck in various states of the restoration for the new owner. Now this is not a 100 point truck as it still could use a few items here and there to make it perfect, but any new owner always wants to change or improve a new toy! The Bronco has been driven about 2,000 miles since to complete body off restoration. It is lifted with large tires and wheels, so it does not drive like a Cadillac and is not quiet like a Cadillac by any stretch. It is rude and crude as 70's engineering dictated!
I have attached 76 high resolution photos for you to take a look at. Below is a quick list of details of the good and the bad, but I will let the pictures do the talking in this case. Please remember that I just aquired this Bronco, so I am sure I will miss some things, but you will get the point. Please remember that restorations like this do not come around often and if you try and restore one or hire one out yourself, well you know you can spend 40K in a heartbeat.
- Aprrox 2,000 miles on complete restoration
- Most all componants new or rebuilt
- Rebuilt (w/shift kit) C6 trans
- Completely rebuilt 460 .30 over (Heads are stock spec, but cleaned up)
- Aluminum intake
- Holly 650 dual feed
- Rebuilt NP 205 transfer case
- Rebuilt 9 Inch rear axle
- Rebuilt Dana 44 front axle
- 4:10 gear ratio front and rear
- Mickey Thompson 15x12 Classics
- Mickey Thompson Baja Radial 36x14.5x15
- New carpet
- New seats
- New trim
- New radiator
- New heater core
- New windshield
- New 6 Inch lift
- New bumpers
- Top is has been smoothed
- New ceramic coated headers and exhaust
- Frame has been powder coated
The few things that need attention are:
- Steering wheel could use a new center piece or replaced.
- Heater does not work. Most of the system is new, but does need some work.
- Gas gauge does not work. Tank and sending unit were new. I was told power is still to the sending unit, so it is expected that it may have failed.
- Radio is present, but not hooked up. You could not hear it anyway over the tires, exhaust, electric fuel pump, and general road noise!
- Switch on dash for rear glass does not work, the rear on the gate does.
- Could use two exhaust hangers fabricated and the end of the run.
Now for the boring stuff! The Bronco will not leave my possesion until full complete payment has been made and cleared. No exceptions! I will take certified funds or a wire transfer, but as I mentioned, a certified check will need to clear 5 business days before the Bronco leaves! The buyer is responsible for shipping and the cost associated. I will assist with making sure the Bronco is safley loaded. The Bronco is currently tucked away safe and it is not super easy to gain access to, so needless to say I will have to pre-qualify potential buyers before any inspections. I encourage you to look at it in person or have a third party perform an inspection at your cost, but please be serious. I will not disclose my reserve and I am not interested in any trades, just cash! Please let me kow if you have any questions and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Obviously there is no warranty expressed or implied. If you have no feedback or feedback under 10, please contact me before bidding. Now....Please enjoy the pictures!

Roush Performance offers a whole raft of parts for folks looking to tune their Ford Mustang and F-150 models, and now Focus owners can start getting in on the hotted-up action, too. Owners of the 2012-13 Focus and 2013 Focus ST can now get a Roush cold-air intake system, and ST owners can also opt for a high-performance cat-back exhaust.
Although all of these components are now available for order, the parts will ship sometime in July; no word yet on pricing. Down the road, Roush will also offer styling upgrades for the Focus as well as performance tuning upgrades such as engine controller, suspension, wheels and tires. Scroll down for a quick video of what the Focus ST exhaust sounds like, as well as a Roush press release.

There's no doubt that Ford is taking a risk in producing the body of its upcoming new F-150 pickup truck in aluminum. What is up for debate, however, is whether aluminum was a wise risk to take in the first place. Wards Auto took the opportunity to poll some experts on the subject of aluminum versus steel in the automotive sector, with somewhat unsurprising results.
Richard Schultz, a project consultant at Ducker Worldwide, which bills itself as "a leading aluminum industry consultant (though they also deal in steels), suggests that the potential drawbacks to aluminum - higher costs, lower supply - aren't really impediments to the auto industry's increased acceptance of the lightweight metal.
Similarly, Randall Scheps, global automotive marketing director for Alcoa, a massive aluminum producer, counters claims that aluminum is less safe for vehicle occupants, suggesting that the use of aluminum can actually increase safety as it could potentially allow for larger vehicles with more crush space than steel.

There's 'speed dating,' that ludicrous get-to-know-you ritual devised by The Inquisition of Mating, and then there's 'dating at ludicrous speed,' which is a better description of what Ford has done in this latest video for the 2015 Mustang GT for your Valentine's Day enjoyment. The Blue Oval used a professional stunt driver to hook six guys into going on a little car trip, but the setup is the key – she pretends she's not that good at driving, until she's really good at it. You can check it out above. Kudos to the guy who goes from "You might want to shift again" to "That's what I'm talking about!" without any question. And the ninja.
