1977 Ford Bronco - Uncut - Automatic - Frame Off Restoration - Perfect on 2040-cars
San Juan Capistrano, California, United States
1977 Ford Bronco - Last year and most sought after of the early model Broncos.
Odometer Says 48,429. Uncut Fenders. Completely Unmolested Vehicle. When I got the vehicle it had very minimal rust and ran absolutely perfectly. As it was it was a great driver vehicle, but I decided to recently have the vehicle completely gone through and frame off restoration. Started with an original uncut Raven Black Bronco. We have photos from the restoration showing the entire process and have before photos before any work was done to it. 1,300 hours in restoration work. Email me and we will send restoration and "before" photos. Vehicle Specifics: Year - 1977 Make - Ford Model - Bronco Engine - 302 V8 Transmission - Automatic Drive Type - 4 Wheel Drive Exterior Color - Black with White Removable Hard Top Interior Color - White Seats with Black Dash and Tan Floor This is going to be one of the cleanest early Ford Bronco's you'll ever see. We had it professionally repainted in it's original factory spec Black color. Minor rust issues (floorpan of Passenger Side, Door Posts) were repaired. New custom fit/moulded floor covering installed. New headliner and sunshades installed. New dash pad installed. Vehicle looks like it came off the showroom floor. The entire car was cleaned and detailed. The underside of this vehicle (as you can see in the pictures) looks like it's from a vehicle thats only 5 years old. Engine and engine compartment is absolutely spotless...this thing is Clean, Clean, Clean. Mechanically the vehicle was great when we got it. We did a tune up on the engine and it runs flawlessly now. The suspension was gone through and seals and bushings replaced. Original interior seats, including the original rear bench seat! Original hubcaps and it even has the original factory radio. It's rare to find a Bronco in this great of condition and untouched. *This vehicle is for sale locally and I, the seller, has the right to end the auction early due to a local sale. If you are local and would like to see the vehicle please contact me and we can try to arrange that. |

Ford cleans up painting process with cameras
Thu, 22 Aug 2013Knowing how the bacon gets made rarely entices us and, in the same vein, the same usually goes for knowing about how new cars get painted. But in both instances, however, quality - or a lack thereof - is instantly obvious. In terms of the latter, Ford is showing off its new paint quality process with 3D Dirt Detection Technology to find imperfections in vehicle paint more easily and more quickly.
This process - being performed on the F-150 SVT Raptor above - uses 16 computer-controlled cameras to create a three-dimensional model (inset) of the vehicle to detect flaws in the paint including dirt particles, which can then be buffed out manually. Ford says this new technology cuts down on time spent looking for paint flaws and gives workers more time to correct those that are discovered.
Currently, Ford only uses its 3D Dirt Detection Technology system at three factories (the Dearborn, MI facility, along with those in Louisville, Kentucky and Valencia, Spain), but it will soon spread to five more plants in North America. Ford has released a video and press release for this innovative and unexpectedly interesting process, both of which are posted below.
Black Zombie electric Mustang launches Blood Shed Motors [w/videos]
Thu, Jun 19 2014As patient zero of Blood Shed Motors, the classic pony car has received a powerful electric transplant. Lightning repeatedly vanquished the darkness like the angriest of strobe lights and thunder shook the building, punctuating the clatter of a heavy Texas rain on the metal roof as the clock ticked away the initial seconds of a rare full moon Friday the 13th. It was then that the Black Zombie came to life for the first time. Beneath the hood of this rust-free 1968 Mustang fastback, a 289-cubic-inch V8 no longer turns gasoline into heat, noise and pollution. As patient zero of Blood Shed Motors, the classic pony car has received a powerful electric transplant, and now boasts twinned Warp 11 DC motors and a pair of fresh Zilla controllers that will serve as the basic blueprint for future vehicles. Dubbed the Zombie 222 drivetrain, the setup will be limited to 750 horsepower in customer's cars to keep the maintenance experience low, and eventually will draw power from a 40-kWh battery pack. In this first example, though, the output is bit more extreme. For one day, at least, they have the 1,500-kW-capable pack that powers the record-setting Swamp Rat 37 racer belonging to Don Garlits and a brief window of opportunity to try it out on a track. Blood Shed Motors is the result of a collaboration between NEDRA co-founder John "Plasma Boy" Wayland, the man who helped bring electric vehicle drag racing to the attention of the world with his unassuming White Zombie Datsun 1200 conversion and Austin, TX business man Mitch Medford, who've put together a small team of experts in their chosen fields. The plan is to build a limited number of muscle car conversions on pristine early Mustang, Camaro, and Barracuda platforms. The plan is to build a limited number of high-quality muscle car conversions on pristine (No restored rust buckets!) early Mustang, Camaro, and Barracuda platforms. Each can be customized according to buyer's wishes and blessed with its own serial number. The price tags will be in the eye-watering $200,000-and-up neighborhood, reflective of the cost and rarity of these cars and the custom nature of the alterations. Of course, you can't just multiply horsepower and add the monster torque that these electric motors put out and expect an antique chassis to hold up.
Carmakers, NHTSA to unveil auto-emergency braking agreement tomorrow
Wed, Mar 16 2016Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve. Tomorrow, there will be green beer, corned beef and cabbage, and automatic emergency braking for all. Weird combo, we know. But on St. Patty's we can expect an official announcement from a pact of automakers making auto-braking systems standard equipment by 2022. That's per a report from Reuters, which cites three sources familiar with the plans. Originally announced in September 2015 by 10 automakers and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the agreement is expected to be even larger when the details are unveiled tomorrow. According to Reuters, the manufacturers of 99 percent of the US domestic market's vehicles will be represented by the new agreement. It's believed that standard AEB systems could prevent thousands of accidents across the country. Expect more on the official announcement when it's made. Related Video:
