1972 Ford Bronco on 2040-cars
Garretson, South Dakota, United States
I have up for auction my 1972 Ford Bronco. This original, uncut Bronco would make an excellent restoration piece or with a little work a fun weekend driver. This Bronco is equipped with the original 170 6cyl and three speed on the column. As you can see in the pictures it has the normal bronco rust and a few dings and dents. Some patch work had been done by a previous owner, but not a professional job. The frame on this Bronco is rock solid. Mechanically, some work has already been done to include new wheel cylinders all the way around, every brake hose has been replaced, had rear drive shaft professionally rebuilt and new u-joints in the front driveshaft, new outer axle bearings in the rear end with new axle seals. The original transmission was shot and I replaced it with a know good trans, new fuel pump, etc. The engine does use oil and runs a little rough at idle. Overall this Bronco is in original unrestored condition, so if you have any questions please ask before you bid. This vehicle is sold AS/IS WHERE IS with no warranty. The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping costs and arranging the shipping. I require a $500.00 deposit through PayPal within 24hrs. of the auction ending with the remaining balance due within 4 days of the auction ending and I will accept a cashier check or cash in person. The title for this vehicle will not be released until the payment has been verified. Again, if you have any questions please ask and thanks for looking. |

Project Ugly Horse: Part VII
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Devils, Details and Weight Reduction
There are many things I could call this exercise. A party is not one of them.
I've spent three days crammed in the axle well of this 1989 Mustang with nothing to keep me company beyond a trouble light, a DeWalt drill on the very last of its legs and billion razor sharp, red hot slivers of metal with an affinity for my most sensitive of regions. My joints are raw from crawling around on the concrete. I'm half deaf from the shriek of the spot weld cutter and the boom of the cold chisel and hammer.
Watch this Ford F-150 SVT Raptor fly like an eagle [UPDATE]
Mon, 04 Feb 2013The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is a very capable truck right out of the box, but "capable" has never translated into "invincible." Just ask the owner of the machine in this video. In it, the driver gets frisky with an aggressive jump with plenty of speed on his hands. The result is enough air to make Vaughn Gittin Jr. blush. As always, it's not the launch that's painful, but the re-entry. Gravity eventually asserts its dominance over the $43,630 pickup in a big way, and when it comes crashing down, it does so with a vengeance.
The impact was hard enough to set off both the alarm and multiple airbags inside the cabin. It's unclear if anyone was injured in the stunt, but we certainly wouldn't be surprised to hear that was the case. You can check out the stunt in the video below, and remember, when in doubt, back out of the throttle. Be warned, there may be some explicit/NSFW language in the clip.
UPDATE: Second video added with an even better look at the jump added below.
Ford Mustang GT350 drops some camo
Mon, 03 Feb 2014Now that we've poured over the 2015 Ford Mustang in its standard form, it's time to look ahead. We already knew (and heard - literally) that Ford was working on a higher-performance version of its 'Stang to replace the Shelby GT500, and earlier reports have stated that it will simply be called the GT350.
We don't have a ton of detail to go on, but this latest set of spy photos clearly shows a hood-mounted air scoop, which suggests a forced-induction powerplant is under the hood. However, this disagrees with earlier reports that the GT350 will be all motor, using a naturally aspirated engine to send massive horsepower to the rear wheels. Our spies also point out the functional vent aft of the front wheels to allow for better airflow, and the massive quad exhaust pipes can be seen, clear as day.
Expect to see the Mustang GT350 in April, when it debuts at the New York Auto Show in conjunction with the Pony's 50th anniversary. In the meantime, have a look at our gallery above to see the latest shots of the hot Mustang out testing.
