BRONCO HAS: 302 V8, 4 SPEED, TWIN STICK TRANSFER CASE, POWER STEERING, DISC BRAKES, FAMILY ROLL BAR WITH ALUMINUM ROOF AND LIGHT BAR. PIC’S SHOW IT HOW IT IS SET UP RIGHT NOW WITH J. D. TRAIL DOORS WITH REMOVABLE HINGES AND ROCKER GUARDS PAINTED TO MATCH. ALSO COMES WITH A BRONCO HARDTOP (NOT INSTALLED SINCE BEING PAINTED IN HOT ROD FLATZ PAINT) THAT MY PAINTER COMMENTED “THIS IS A  REALLY NICE BRONCO TOP AS IS” I WANTED TO KEEP THE BLUE AND GUN METAL GREY COLORS THRU-OUT SO IT GOT PAINTED TO MATCH THE HOOD DESIGN PAINT AS WITH THE J.D. DOORS AND ROCKER GUARDS. THE TOPS WINDOW’S ARE DARK TINTED GLASS. THE FORD BRONCO DOORS ARE COLOR MATCHED TO THE BLUE PAINT WITH BRAND NEW ACCENT TRIM NOT YET INSTALLED. THE DOORS HAVE THE REMOVABLE WINDOW FRAME THAT CAN GO OFF AND ON IN MINUTES. 3 INCH LIFT KIT. DUAL SHOCKED IN FRONT. FIVE (5) BRAND 265/65/16 NEW BFG KM 2’S       (31 INCHERS) ON PERIOD CORRECT AFTERMARKET 16 INCH (NOT 15 INCH) WHEELS. ELECTRONIC IGNITION, AVENGER CARB. WAS RE-WIRED WITH A PAINLESS WIRING KIT. A NEW ONE MONTH OLD COVER.

I HOPE THE PIC’S TELL THE STORY HOW NICE THIS BRONCO IS. NEED MORE? LET ME KNOW.

THIS BRONCO IS IN MY NAME, CURRENTLY RE-REGISTERED THIS MONTH (Nov.) CALIFORNIA VEHICLE, TITLE IN HAND. IN CALIFORNIA A 1970 BRONCO IS SMOG EXEMPT!

WHEN I BOUGHT THE BRONCO I WAS TOLD THE MOTOR, TRANS, CLUTCH WERE REBUILT AND TWIN STICK TRANSFER CASE WAS INSTALLED. THE ODOMETER SHOWS RIGHT NOW 69,128  (ASSUME 169K) WHICH BASED ON THE PREVIOUS OWNERS WORDS (NO RECEIPTS GIVEN) THE REBUILD WORK WAS DONE AROUND 18K PLUS OR MINUS MILES AGO.

THIS IS NOT A SHOW TRUCK! BUT! IT IS VERY NICE, IT’S NOT YOUR TYPICAL BRONCO WITH A WHITE TOP! IT IS A VERY NICE EARLY BRONCO WITH THE MANY HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER COOL ITEMS LIKE THE TWIN STICK TRANSFER CASE, REMOVABLE WINDOW FRAMES FROM THE DOORS THAT TAKES JUST MINUTES, THAT WAY WHEN THE TOP IS OFF YOU DON’T HAVE WINDOW FRAMES GOOFING UP ALL THE COOL LINES OF THE BRONCO. THE TOP TOP IS IN AMAZING CONDITION, WITH ALL NEW PAINT INSIDE AND OUT ON THE TOP ALONG WITH TINTED WINDOWS. HAS THE RIGHT SIZE  NEW TIRES, ON PERIOD CORRECT LOOKING AFTERMARKET 16 INCH RIMS TO GET YOU ALMOST ANYWHERE YOU WANT TO GO AND IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE TIRES? 16 INCHERS ARE MADE BY MANY MANUFACTURES SO YOUR NOT LIMITED TO JUST A COUPLE OF 15 INCH SIZES. THE FRONT BUCKET SEATS HAVE SHOULDER HARNESS STRAPS. REAR SEAT HAS A LAP BELT. HAS A TUFFY LOCK BOX. FULLY LOCKABLE TO SECURE YOUR THINGS AND THE AM FM RADIO LOADED INSIDE OF IT. RIDES REAL NICE., DOUBLE SHOCKED UP FRONT. EVEN HAS UPSIDE DOWN TURN OFF SWITCHES IN THE EVENT YOU MAKE IT UPSIDE DOWN AND YOU CANT REACH THE DASH AND YOU WANNA KILL POWER IT IS RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE.

THE PICTURE OF THE BRONCO TOP ON THE TRAILER IS BECAUSE I JUST GOT THE TOP AND FORD BRONCO DOORS BACK FROM THE PAINTER AND HAVE NOT BEEN INSTALLED. I DON’T PLAN ON INSTALLING THEM AS THE WEATHER WHERE I LIVE IS VERY MODERATE. THE TOP AND DOORS GO WITH THE SALE OF THIS BRONCO. I JUST ORDERED A NEW SEAL KIT FOR THE TOP THAT WILL ALSO COME WITH THE VEHICLE. THE ONLY MISSING PART ON THE TOP IS THE LIFT GATE DOOR STRIKER PLATES AT THIS POINT. I HOPE TO HAVE SOME BEFORE THE COMPLETION OF THE AUCTION. IF NOT? THIS IS SOMETHING THE NEW OWNER WILL HAVE TO ADDRESS.

I AM ALSO GOING TO LIST THE ROCK KRAWLER TRAILER THAT THE BRONCO TOP IS ON IN THE PICTURE OF. THE BRONCO TOP IS SEPARATE ITEM FROM THIS AUCTION AND IS NOT INCLUDED. ALTHO I HAVE NEVER USED THIS TRAILER TO TOW THE BRONCO, IT IS THE PERFECT TRAILER FOR BRINGING A BRONCO AND TOYS WHEN YOU GO OUT AND PLAY. IT IS A C&B 10K GVW 4 WHEEL BRAKES, HEAVY DUTY REAR RAMPS, WITH STABILIZER JACKS FOR LOADING, WIDENED FRONT PLATFORM, LOCK BOX WITH 10k CHAINS AND TURNBUCKLES.  ALSO INCLUDES RAMP OVER FENDER SYSTEM FOR LOADING WIDE LOADS. I ESTIMATE THE TRAILER TO HAVE LESS THAN 5K MILES ON IT. ABOUT 12 MONTHS AGO I REPLACED ALL TIRES WITH NEW RADIALS AND A NEW SPARE. SO CHECK MY OTHER AUCTION IF YOU NEED A TRAILER LIKE THIS.

ABOUT THE BRONCO, WHEN YOU STAND NEXT TO THE TRUCK ONLY A BRONCO PURIST WOULD NOTICE THAT  THE REAR QTR PANEL’S AT THE BOTTOM HAD SOME RUST (SEE PIC’S) RUST WAS TRIMMED OUT AND CLEANED UP BEFORE IT WAS PAINTED. IT NO LONGER WILL CATCH THE DIRT AND CRUD IN THE QTR PANEL POCKET AREA AND CAUSE ISSUES. NOW IT WILL JUST FALL OUT TO THE GROUND AND NOT TRAP MOISTURE. THE DASH PAD COULD BE RECOVERED AS IT IS WEATHERED, THE SEATS TWO BUCKETS AND REAR BENCH ARE  NICE DAILY RUNNERS RIGHT NOW.

WHY AM I SELLING THIS BRONCO?

IF YOU HAVE AN INTEREST IN THIS BRONCO? TIME TO BID IS NOW!

I WAS NOT PLANNING ON SELLING THIS VEHICLE, BUT DUE TO SPACE AND ANOTHER PROJECT, ONE HAS TO GO. I HAVE THIS AND A 1964 2 DOOR CHEVELLE WAGON UP FOR SALE. FIRST ONE TO GO MEANS I WILL KEEP THE OTHER. SO I MAY STOP THIS AUCTION REAL QUICK IF IT DOESN’T MEET MY RESERVE AND THE WAGON SELLS FIRST. IF YOU BECOME THE BUYER OF THIS VEHICLE IT WILL BE AN AS IS WHERE IS CASUAL SALE. PLEASE ASK ALL YOUR QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU PLACE A BID.

BOTTOM LINE: THIS IS A NICE EARLY BRONCO THAT GETS THUMBS UP ALL THE TIME!

Watch how Ford torture-tested the 2015 F-150

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

The Ford F-150 has been the best-selling truck in the United States for the past 37 years, and the best-selling vehicle outright for the past 32. That's quite a legacy, and thus, it's no surprise that Ford worked super-duper-extra hard on creating the all-new, aluminum-bodied 2015 F-150 that debuted at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
During an event at the company's headquarters in Dearborn, MI this week, we were able to see all of the ways that Ford endurance tests, not just the new F-150, but all of its vehicles. From examining things like light exposure to interior materials and paint finishes, to making sure that corrosion absolutely does not happen when steel components come in contact with aluminum panels in the new truck. The goal: ensure that the new F-150 is nothing short of "Built Ford Tough."
But that's only a small part of the story. Of course, the new F-150 has to be able to withstand whatever a pickup buyer might throw at it - and truck buyers arguably demand the most from their vehicles. So in an effort to convey just what the new F-150 had to go through before being given the final go-ahead, Ford has released a series of videos, showing how its new halo truck was indeed torture tested.

Ford C-Max, Fusion hybrids subject of MPG lawsuit in California

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

A California lawsuit over the fuel economy claims for the 2013 Ford C-Max was first reported back in December. Based on the numerous reports we've heard of disgruntled owners failing to get their car's EPA fuel economy ratings on the C-Max and 2013 Fusion Hybrid, we suspected there would be more to this story. The Detroit News is reporting that two California law firms are combining their lawsuits against Ford on this matter for "false and misleading" claims.
The article states that there are hundreds of C-Max and Fusion Hybrid owners who have joined the lawsuit, but the issue isn't limited to customers. In December, Consumer Reports extensively tested both the Fusion Hybrid and C-Max and found that both hybrids performed significantly worse than their EPA claims. This all comes just a few months after Hyundai and Kia took the unprecedented step of lowering the fuel economy ratings for all of their 2012 and 2013 model-year vehicles.

Jay Leno drives postcard-perfect '32 Ford Highboy Roadster

Mon, 25 Aug 2014

At the turn of the century, it was arguably the Honda Civic that best defined inexpensive performance tuning, and in the '50s it was the Tri-5 Chevys. One of the earliest platforms to gain a huge following among young people looking for a cheap way to go fast was the classic '32 Ford Highboy Roadster. This week, Jay Leno's Garage looks at one of the very first vehicles that defined the look of the hot rod heyday.
This '32 Ford was built in the '40s and graced the cover of the fourth issue of Hot Rod Magazine back in 1948. All of the hot rods that you see shining at car shows today owe a serious debt of gratitude to this roadster. It bears all of the cues that define the look, including a notched frame and hidden door hinges. Under the three-piece hood is a flathead V8 boasting all sorts of period modifications, including copper cylinder heads. It was seriously fast in its era too, and proved it by reaching 112.21 miles per hour on a dry lakebed in 1947.
These days, this hot rod is on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Although, if you can't make it to California to see it, the United States Postal Service is celebrating this Ford with one of its two hot rod Forever stamps. Like Jay says in the video, in terms of hot rodding, "it all comes back to this." Check out the video to learn more about this rolling piece of tuning history.
