Excellent Candidate For Restoration - SOLID
This Uncut Early Bronco is very clean and in excellent mechanical condition, I just drove it over 300 miles and it handles fantastic on the backroads and highway. The entire drive train from axle to axle is new including less than 500 miles on a completely rebuilt 302, transmission, transfer case, drive shafts, etc. New wagon wheels and new Hankook tires. Sounds amazing with the headers and stainless steel exhaust, it drives like a champ and the 4X4 works great. The frame has been powder coated and all of the bushings and suspension are new. You could drive this truck the way it sits but its a fantastic base for a restoration since it is essentially rust free, straight and has no bondo - It really should get a better paint job or be brought back to its original "U" color. All of the wiring is new and everything works however the wipers need to be hooked up and a few more switches need to be installed in the dash (switches included) I have just about everything needed to complete this project including a VGC hard top that fits (pictured), spare tire carrier, door frames, glass, quarter glass, new weather striping, door hinge kid, interior trim, dash switches, etc.
If you want to have the Bronco inspected, I can make it available for showing with 24 hours notice. Sold as is, where is.

Ford spotted testing new Focus RS at the Nurburgring
Thu, 26 Jun 2014Ford is expected to be launching a revised version of the Focus ST soon, but the latest snapshots from our spy photographers at the Nürburgring suggest that the Blue Oval is already working on an even more potent example: the new Focus RS.
Though the partially disguised test mule is wearing an ST badge (along with a Dewey sticker that makes us wonder what adventures Huey and Louie are up to and what manner of duck-tail rear spoiler they may be wearing), there are several tell-tale signs that something else is afoot here. There's a larger front air dam, bigger brake calipers, dual exhaust tips (instead of the central exhaust on the ST) and a reshaped wing protruding from the trailing edge of the roof.
That may all be well and fine, but what's under the hood? We don't know yet for sure, but word has it that Ford is preparing to port over the 2.3-liter turbo four offered in the new Mustang, where it packs 305 horsepower and almost as much torque - potentially retuned to produce even more for the top-of-the-line Focus, which could channel it all to the front wheels like the last model or pack an all-wheel drive system. The Global C platform on which the Focus is based does, after all, also underpin AWD models like the Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC.
New Ford Police Interceptor tech protects cops' backsides
Mon, 22 Jul 2013It was only a matter of time before law enforcement agencies would realize the potential of driver-assist technology for use in their Ford Police Interceptors, and, now that they have, those back-up cameras and radar systems won't be used just for parking, but for security, as well.
The surveillance mode system works when the camera or radar detects movement from behind the vehicle, and if it does when it's activated, an alarm will alert the officer inside the car, the driver's side window will roll up and the doors will lock, protecting the officer from an unwanted intrusion. The officer, of course, has the option to turn surveillance mode off, mainly in urban areas where pedestrians would constantly set the alarm off, and it can only be activated when the police car is in park.
Randy Freiburger, Ford's police and ambulance fleet supervisor, came up with the patent-pending idea when researching the needs of police officers and riding along with them, during which time he realized officers would be safer with an extra set of eyes watching the area behind their cars, especially at night or when they're completing paperwork, using the in-car computer or handling a radar gun. "Unfortunately, there are people with bad intentions who sneak up on police officers," he says.
