1969 Ford Bronco in very close to original condition.

"Uncut" with original wheels and matching engine, transmission, transfer case, interior, etc.

VIN Plate Decode:
Series U15 = Model U150 Wagon
Engine Code G = 8 Cylinder 302 CID (2V)
Transmission Code C = Ford 3.03 3 Speed Manual Shift
Axle Code 18 = 3.50 gear ratio

1969 was the first year for the 5.0L/ 302 CID Engine, and also the first year for Electric Windshield Wipers.

This Bronco originally came from Arizona as you can see from the original Ford "Finance AAD 419 BR Form" in the photographs.

It was restored in Texas and than brought to Florida. It will be sold with a Clear Texas Title. It is has a current Texas Inspection sticker.

This truck underwent a body off frame, complete mechanical and body dissassembly and reassembly restoration. In addition a 2 1/2" Skyjacker Lift Kit and Ford Bronco power steering were installed and rubber suspension parts were replaced with Urethane.

Everything from bumper to bumper received attention including but not limited to: engine rebuild, transmission rebuild, transfer case rebuild, complete brake system replacement, complete steering linkage replacment, new springs, new shocks, new power steering, front and rear axle rebuild, u-joints and drive shafts rebuilt, new weatherstrips, new quick ratio steering box.

The engine is in great shape, does not smoke, idles smooth, makes great power and has good compression in all cylinders.

The transmission shifts smooth and effortlessly with no grinding of gears or synchronization problems.

The brakes stop perfectly and in straight line with no pulling to the left or right.

The steering is light and very responsive and the truck drive down the road perfetly straight with no pull to the left or right, the tires are about 10% worn and are wearing perfectly showing no signs of any suspension or alignment related problems.

It does not have Air conditioning, but the heater works great.

It has an original Ford Accessory front winch bumper with a Warn 8000 winch that was installed in 1973.

The truck is very reliable and cruises perfectly at highway speeds thanks to the over sized 235/85 16 tires.

There are no vibrations and it rides so smoothly you would think you were in a more modern vehicle.

The engine, transmission, transfer case, axles etc. are all the original matching components.

With an expensive paint job, this Bronco would be worth nearly 2 times the asking reserve price.

If you want a Bronco that you can actually use without worrying about getting scratches or dings this is the truck for you.

This truck was re-built the way Ford intended it to be from the factory. A tough SUV that is as useful off road as it is on the highway.

If you want a $45,000 show truck at half the price, you are looking at the wrong Bronco.

The Bronco is located in Jensen Beach, Florida. A sleepy little fishing and surfing town in Florida's Treasure Coast, just north of Stuart Florida (the Marlin Fishing capital of the world). To get here you would fly into West Palm Beach and than travel north about an hour.

The truck is being offered for sale locally so I reserve the right to cancel all bids and end the auction early.

If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment to come see this Bronco in person, please call or text me at 305-283-8602.

Auction winner is expected to provide a non-refundable $2,000 deposit within 24 hours of auction end. Payment in full will be required within 1 week. Paypal will not be accepted for deposit or final payment. Preferred payment method will be cash in person or bank wire transfer. Payment by certified bank check may be accepted if the bank it is drawn on has a local office in Jensen Beach, Stuart, or Port St. Lucie Florida.

I can hold the vehicle at my home after the auction while you arrange shipping or travel to come pick it up, but if it will be longer than a couple of weeks I prefer it be transferred to a local secure storage facility at your expense. I will work with you in finding a secure place if necessary.

If this is not exactly what you are looking for, let me know and I may be able to revise this truck to meet your needs!

I have other Broncos and parts, so I can change wheels, bumpers, take off the winch, put stock small bumpers, even mount the shifter on the floor for you!

Heck, for a little more money I can even do a change of color!

The sky is the limit!

Ford recalling 126,000 Fusions and Milans over wheel separation concern

Fri, 09 Dec 2011

Ford has announced a recall of certain Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan vehicles after an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A total of 128,616 2010 and 2011 models equipped with steel wheels may have been manufactured with wheel studs that could crack and split over time. If that happens, the vehicle may experience a wheel separation.
According to The Detroit News, the company is aware of a total of 30 wheel separation incidents, one of which occurred on the front of the vehicle. Even so, no injuries have been reported as a result of the defect.
The problem apparently stems from the fact that the mounting pads on the vehicles' steel wheels may have been faulty from the factory. In addition, the wheel mounting face on rear disc brakes may not have been installed properly. Ford will inspect the rear disc face and replace them as necessary. In addition, the company will replace all of the vehicle's wheel studs free of charge. Head to the NHTSA website for more information, and click past the jump to view the full recall notice.

Ford using robot drivers to test durability [w/video]

Sun, 16 Jun 2013

In testing the durability of its upcoming fullsize Transit vans, Ford has begun using autonomous robotic technology to pilot vehicles through the punishing courses of its Michigan Proving Grounds test facility. The autonomous tech allows Ford to run more durability tests in a single day than it could with human drivers, as well as create even more challenging tests that wouldn't be safe to run with a human behind the wheel.
The technology being used was developed by Utah-based Autonomous Solutions, and isn't quite like the totally autonomous vehicles being developed by companies like Google and Audi for use out in the real world. Rather, Ford's autonomous test vehicles follow a pre-programmed course and their position is tracked via GPS and cameras that are being monitored from a central control room. Though the route is predetermined, the robotic control module operates the steering, acceleration and braking to keep the vehicle on course as it drives over broken concrete, cobblestones, metal grates, rough gravel, mud pits and oversize speed bumps.
Scroll down to watch the robotic drivers in action, though be warned that you're headed for disappointment if you expect to see a Centurion behind the wheel (nerd alert!). The setup looks more like a Mythbusters experiment than a scene from Battlestar Galactica.

Weekly Recap: Ferrari, Ford and Porsche power up for Geneva

Sat, Feb 7 2015

Monday was Groundhog Day. Tuesday, apparently, was Sports Car Day. The Ferrari 488 GTB, the Ford Focus RS and the Porsche Cayman GT4 all debuted within hours of each other ahead of their rollouts at the Geneva Motor Show. Three sporty machines, three vastly different approaches – and a lot of implications for enthusiasts. That's a day worth repeating. It also illustrates the opportunities automakers see in the performance market, which is expected to grow in the coming years. Ford estimates the segment has expanded 14 percent in Europe and surged 70 percent in North America since 2009. The Detroit Auto Show was evidence of this, and performance cars of every stripe debuted, including the Acura NSX, Ford GT, Alfa Romeo 4C Spider and several others. This isn't a fad. Performance cars aren't going away. The question is why? Stricter CAFE standards are looming in the United States, as are tighter emissions regulations in Europe. And no one expects gas prices to remain low in America. None of this matters for sports cars, and automakers are increasingly using them to elevate their images. That's why Dodge rolled out two 707-horsepower Hellcats last year. It's why Ford has decided to resurrect the GT for road and track. It's why in the depths of bankruptcy, General Motors continued work on the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, not to mention the Z06. "Great brands are made one car at a time," Ford of Europe president Jim Farley said at the reveal of the Focus RS. Still, companies make those cars for different reasons. View 5 Photos Mainstream brands like Ford and Dodge want to build cars that get people talking, excite their bases and drive more potential customers into the showroom. They probably don't buy a Focus RS or a Hellcat, but suddenly the regular Focus hatch looks a bit hotter, and that V6 Charger seems to be just a touch more muscular. The halo of performance is alive and well in the eyes of automakers and their customers. "It's one of the most effective catalysts for ingenuity and innovation," said Joe Bakaj, vice president of product development for Ford of Europe. That also leads to a trickle-down effect. Some of the technologies inevitably make their way to other products. It's hard to think the new all-wheel-drive system in the Focus RS that distributes torque front to rear and side to side won't be used in other vehicles. It's different for Ferrari and Porsche.
