Competed the entire Competition and never had a major failure. Timed out in the most difficult final day event simply due to seat time. The rig is unbelievable and one of the most rare exotic examples built. Want something no one else has, this is it. Recommend second set of wheels and tires for the street. I have several set of wheels and tires for all of my Ford Vehicles and run a set of 37"s when driving it on the street. It is more than capable of turning 46" tires as the TTC Video will show, but for the freeway it is too tall of a final ratio for a small displacement motor. With 37"-40"s it will do 70 Mph all the way to the trail and back at 190*. Just waiting on one more an to replace that failed after TTC from water damage. Not an every day environment."

SEARCH "Red Label SVT Bronco" for any of the links to the multiple build threads.  I have extensive pictures of this build collected on PhotoBucket.  Well over 1000.  Pigs loading into the trailer are fresh from getting the TTC rash repaired.  Just have to replace a couple electric fans due to water submersion from the competition.  Will be posting up more pics and a fresh video as soon as I get the motor and undercarriage detailed.  Feel free to ask any questions.  Have priced high to test the waters before I get aggressive with the sale.  If you gotta have though she's yours.  Happy bidding.

Ford hybrids getting update to improve fuel economy

Tue, 16 Jul 2013

Ford has announced that it is introducing "calibration updates designed to improve on-road fuel economy for owners of the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid, 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid and 2013 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid."
We can speculate that these changes are at least due in part to lawsuits over mileage claims of hybrid vehicles. The automaker is enhancing 2013 models starting in August by raising their electric cruising speed to 85 miles per hour from 62 mph, optimizing the use of active grille shutters and the climate control system, shortening the engine warm-up period by 50 percent and reducing electric fan speed to minimize the fan's energy consumption.
It bears mentioning that Ford is doing pretty well in the US electrified vehicle market this year. The company claims to have grown its share in the segment by 12 points to 16 percent while taking a high number of Toyota Prius trade-ins in the process. Conversely, Toyota has experienced a five-percent drop in new-Prius sales over the same period. Additionally, Ford states that it has increased its share of the US vehicle market by one percent this year, more than any full-line automaker.

Radical RXC is a Mustang-hearted racecar for the road

Fri, May 30 2014

Radical has been building fantastic open-cockpit racers and roadcars for years, for the track day enthusiast who wants a vehicle that looks like it could show up for a start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The company's latest creation is the RXC, and while this coupe looks like a prototype racer, it's road legal in the UK and in some parts of the US. When testing a car this, um, radical, the first thought is likely to get it to the track for some big slides and wide open acceleration, but XCar Films takes the opposite approach in its latest video to learn how this racer fares on public roads. The version tested here is the standard RXC with the 3.7-liter V6 out of the Ford Mustang tuned to 350 horsepower with a seven-speed sequential gearbox; but Radical also offers the same engine with 380-hp, a 454-hp Ford EcoBoost 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, or even a 500-hp V8. Even in the most basic guise, it's a handful to control in the wet, if this video is any indication. The cliche of a road-legal racecar is bandied around a lot in the motoring world, but it truly applies to the RXC. The only problem with seeing the RXC exclusively on the road is that it can never really open up and show its full potential. This racer is indeed chomping at the bit to rocket off into the horizon, but all those pesky road safety laws hold it back. Still, the video is a chance to get a better impression about this thoroughbred sports car. Scroll down to check it out. This content is hosted by a third party.
