1968 Ford Bronco

289 V8
3 Speed manual- column shift
4 wheel drive

I found this Bronco about a month ago.  It had been sitting for some time.  Bronco is uncut and in mostly original shape.  Appears to be all original drivetrain.  The Bronco does have some rust.  The rockers need patched or replaced.  The floors have been patched with Fiberglass at some point in the past, but should be redone with real metal floors.  The inner fenders were also patched with fiberglass.  Back floor is in great shape.  Tailgate has NO rust.

It has new brakes, battery cables, fuel tank, and sending unit.   That was all it needed to get it roadworthy.  Engine runs great.  starts up right away after sitting in the cold for a week.  transmission shifts good.  4 wheel drive works great.

Everything works on the Bronco except the turn signal cancel and the fuel gauge.  I put a new sending unit in the new tank, so it must be the wiring or the gauge itself.  haven't done any research on that since installing the new sending unit.

Interior is in great shape.  Front seats are original and have no cracks or tears.  Back seat is good with the exception of the arm rests are starting to show wear.  Visors are in good shape.

Top is good.  Has some surface rust and a few small dents.

Weatherstripping on the entire Bronco is old and needs replaced.

Newer muffler but the exhaust pipe is pretty rusty.  No holes, but could stand to be replaced.

Has BRAND NEW BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A's (31x9.5x15) from Discount Tire and includes transferrable Road hazzard warranties on them.  Wheels are original steel wheels that were sand blasted and re painted.

I think i've described it as good as I can.  Email me or call me with any questions.  303-591-8103.  This is a great Bronco to do a restore on or just use it to drive around in the mountains on camping trips as is.

USPS releases hot rod stamps to speed up your delivery

Sun, 08 Jun 2014

After one of the worst winters in recent memory for much of the country, summer is finally here. It's time to drop the top, open the sunroof or at least put down the windows and take a long drive. The United States Postal Service is celebrating the season's sun in automotive style with two new hot rod Forever stamps.
Both stamps depict classic '32 Ford hot rods. One shows the car from the front at a low angle in red (pictured above), while the other depicts the car from the back in black with flames running down the side.
To introduce the new stamps on their first day of availability, the USPS went straight to the source at the National Street Rod Association Street Rod Nationals in York, PA. They were unveiled by Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe, Car Crazy host Barry Meguiar and NSRA Special Events Director Jerry Kennedy.

Ford Mustang EcoBoost has fake engine soundtrack

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

The 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost represents a huge change for the Blue Oval as the first pony car in decades to be available with a four-cylinder engine. But a recent tweet (below) from Road & Track raised our curiosity about the new vehicle. Editor Jason Cammisa pulled a fuse while driving the latest 'Stang with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, and he found that both the stereo and engine went quiet in the cabin. That indicated the coupe might have some form of artificial engine sound being piped in - a feature not previously heavily reported for the model. Autoblog spoke with Ford engineer Shawn Carney who confirmed that only the turbocharged four-cylinder Mustang comes with this system, called Active Noise Control.

Ford's Explorer-based Police Interceptor to get 365-hp EcoBoost option

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

Speeders beware, the police are going to be getting quite a bit faster. Ford has just announced that it will be offering its 3.5-liter, twin-turbocharged, EcoBoost V6 in the Explorer Police Interceptor. The new engine will be joining the existing 3.7-liter V6. The 365-horsepower, 350-pound-foot mill should be familiar to consumers as the powerplant that's found in the Ford Taurus SHO (and its LEO equivalent, the Taurus Police Interceptor) and the Ford Explorer Sport. It should also provide quite a kick in the pants to officers used to the naturally aspirated 3.7 and its 304 ponies and 279 pound-feet of torque.
The move to the more potent powerplant was born out of all the equipment officers need to carry on a day-to-day basis. These days, there's so much stuff that police need on a regular basis, that there's a genuine market for a faster Police Interceptor Utility, as it's known officially. The Explorer-based cruiser has already accounted for 68 percent of Ford's LEO sales in 2013, and that's with just the 3.7, and we'd only expect that number to increase once the twin-turbo, 3.5-liter V6 is available. Ford won't offer up any indication of what the take rate will be on the new engine, but we're guessing it'll be fairly high.
The success of the Explorer PI couldn't have come at a better time for Ford. The decision to end Crown Victoria production was not a popular one with police, and combined with Chevrolet and Dodge diving into the LEO market feet first, Ford hasn't been performing as well as it's wanted to. The Explorer has been helping it turn around, though. And with the inclusion of the EcoBoost, Ford also has a legit competitor for the Chevrolet Tahoe on the big utility side of the police market.
