1968 Ford Bronco on 2040-cars
Mead, Colorado, United States
Original 289 V8 runs very well and even has the original smog pump and oil bath filter. Just rebuilt the carb, new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. 3
speed was converted from column shift to floor.
New Toms Brake Booster (works great)
New upholstery
New door jam weatherstripping
New 33 10.5 KM2's
New aluminum radiator
2.5" James duff lift
New body mounts
New fuel pump and filter
This truck had almost all original paint, (left quarter/door had prior paint). Rust was very minor, left rear
quarter, right rocker and tailgate. I cut all the rust out, and purchased replacement panels. Floors are in great
condition, paint is still shiny and rust free. I had the exterior painted in a high quality single stage. I color
sanded, buffed and polished the whole truck and paint looks amazing. Body is straight and obviously rust free now.
Polished all the chrome bits as well. The undercarriage is clean. I applied POR15 to frame.
The inner feeders do have a little rust in the typical spot. I patched the passenger side.
No work was done to the top, it was removed for paint (along with handles, mirrors, emblems, etc.) its not in bad
shape but not restored.

Former Ford CEO Alan Mulally lands on Google board
Wed, 16 Jul 2014Former Ford CEO Alan Mulally often referred to the Blue Oval as a technology company when he led the automaker. Now he'll be offering guidance to a different kind of technology firm: Google.
Mulally was appointed to Google's board of directors July 9, and late Tuesday, it was announced that he will serve on the company's audit committee. The veteran executive led Ford from September 2006 until he retired in June, succeeded by Mark Fields.
While Mulally will act as a board member - rather than in a managerial role - his presence adds credibility to Google's recently announced plans to produce an autonomous car. The ambitious program calls for 100 prototypes to begin testing later this summer. Production of the car is rumored to be in collaboration with a Detroit area performance company, Roush.
Ford debuts Fusion NASCAR racer that edges closer to stock [w/video]
Wed, 20 Feb 2013The sixth-generation NASCAR Sprint Cup racecar, which will make its competition debut at the 2013 Daytona 500 this weekend, marks the closest thing to a "stock car" that the sport has seen in more than 20 years. No longer using just stickers to distinguish the different brands, the image above shows the lengths NASCAR and automakers went in order to create a racecar design that more closely resembles the individual cars they represent.
Ford, one of the more open and vocal OEMs regarding the Gen6 car's development, is giving us a closer look at its racing version of the Fusion with a pretty revealing side-by-side comparison with last years' racer (click above for an expanded view). Aside from the more realistic front end and production-like body lines, the overall shape, dimensions and proportions have also been designed to give the racecar a more stock appearance. Most of the new racer was designed by the Ford Design Center, which the automaker says was the first time it has been so involved in the design process since the 1960s. Of course, one area the Sprint Cup Fusion really differs from the production Fusion is its Ford Racing 5.8-liter V8 producing around 850 hp. Can you say Fusion SVT?

Ford doubling 1.0L EcoBoost engine production
Fri, 06 Sep 2013Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine hasn't been around that long, but it sounds like the engine is getting to be fairly popular in the automaker's global car lineup. The Detroit News is reporting that Ford has add a second shift that will allow its German engine plant to double daily output from 500 engines to 1,000.
The increased capacity is part of a plan to sell more than 300,000 vehicles a year with this engine in Europe by 2015. Europe is currently the only market where the smallest of the EcoBoost engines is offered (including in the Focus pictured above), but US-spec Fiesta models will be getting this mill for 2014.
Three-cylinder engines are expected to continue to grow in popularity in coming years with the report indicating that global production of these engines will double by 2018 to 9.8 million units. General Motors, BMW and Mitsubishi are all expected to introduce three-cylinder engines in the near term, as well.
