I'm selling my 1966 Ford Bronco.  I bought this from the original owner 4 years ago.  I have the original Virginia title that was issued in 1966 when the previous owner bought the truck, and a clear current title.  Also have the original owner's manual that was issued to the first buyer.  When I got the vehicle, the owner was 93 years old and not driving anymore, has since passed on.  He had the vehicle parked under a carport, and although its got some "cancer" in the quarters and floor, its in generally good condition, enough that it will pass state inspection to drive on the highway.  There are patch panels in the floor, and along the rockers, not well done but sufficient for inspection or driving.  The door posts are sound, as is the windshield frame, and the dash pad is near perfect.  170 six cylinder, three speed on the column, no radio, vacuum wipers.  The 4wd works just fine, and the exhaust has been replaced.  It has 4 new Goodyear Wrangler tires on it, they've got less than 500 miles on them.  The car runs and stops, heater works, wipers don't too well just like all vacuum wipers :-)  There's not much else to tell about this thing mechanically, they are pretty simple machines.  This 170 engine runs fine, although it does have an occasional wrist pin peck on #2 cylinder.  Been doing that for years, and if you're going to restore it, that isn't a big deal anyway, still runs just fine.  If you're wondering about the paint, the PO rolled that nice brown latex on it to match his boat :-)  The original color was red, which is peeking out in a few places where the latex has peeled off.  I'm not interested in trades, I have too many cars already, that's why I'm selling this one.  There's no warranty, none.  It runs, it stops, it needs to be properly restored.  Enough said.  I will deliver this car via rollback carrier to anywhere in the lower 48 states for $2.00 per mile, round trip.  You can fly in and drive it home, but I don't recommend it unless you have lots of gas money.  This has 4:11 gearing in the differentials, and at 50 MPH you're tach-ing about 4000 RPM's so its not very interstate friendly :-)  Email with questions, NO, I'm not taking more pics of anything so don't ask. Its a basic Bronco, and that's about the extent of it.  I prefer a paypal deposit of $1000 when the auction ends, and cash for the balance when you pick up the Bronco.  If you plan to use a cashiers check, it will have to be verified and cleared by my bank before you take the car, so DO NOT plan to show up with one and think you'll be driving it away, ain't gonna happen, just too much check fraud, sorry.  Cash is king.  If you mail a check, plan to pick up in about 15 days from that.  Happy bidding

2015 Ford Mustang: Obsessively covered [w/videos + poll]

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

Here at Autoblog, we've officially stamped December 5, 2013, as Ford Mustang Day. Sure, the sixth-generation Pony Car started leaking out onto the web days ago, but all of the official, non-embargoed hotness has come out today. And man, there's been a lot.
In terms of new car debuts, this is a really big one - not unlike all of the Corvette madness that kicked off the 2013 automotive season. So to make sure you haven't missed anything, here's a wrap-up of everything you need to know about the 2015 Ford Mustang.

2014 Holman & Moody 50th Anniversary TdF Ford Mustang

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

If you're a fan of Ford racing history, a Mustang worshiper or even just an avid follower of our yearly SEMA coverage, you may have heard the back story on the Race Red Mustang you see above. Back in 1964, Holman & Moody was tapped by the English Alan Mann Racing Team to race-prep three Mustangs for competition in the incredibly arduous 4,000-mile Tour de France Automobile rally. Competing mainly against Jaguar MkII saloons over 10 days and 17 stages, the H&M Mustangs took the top two places in the Touring class and the first-ever racing win for Ford's pony car.
Though the history of that first Mustang win hasn't been incredibly well known here in the States, the subsequent decades have seen plenty of racy versions of the car come and go. Last year at the SEMA show, we covered the brief debut of this living tribute to that piece of racing lore, the Holman & Moody 50th Anniversary TdF Mustang.
This limited-edition Mustang represents a kind of new venture for H&M, as the legendary racing shop has spent the last few decades earning its keep largely by restoring vintage racing cars. The urge to get back into the world of Ford and Mustang was powerful, however, what with the car's 50th anniversary looming and the current generation of 'Stang just about out the door.

Ken Block walks you through his new 'Hoonigan Racing' HQ

Tue, 24 Jun 2014

Ken Block seems like one hell of a nice guy. I ran into him at CES this past January, and he dropped the video games he was playing to chat with me for a while. His crew also recently gave our Steve Ewing a tour of the offices you're about to see on this video. Good guy to know.
As it turns out, they're some fairly cool new digs. Dubbed 'Hoonigan Racing Division HQ,' the office is open to Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST owners who attend the driving program offered out at Miller Motorsports Park. The very same program that Ewing reported on just recently.
Or, if you've no plans to buy an ST or travel to Utah any time soon, you can let Block show you around himself in this MTV Cribs-style video. With interior decorating that relies heavily on shipping containers and luxurious amenities like a ping pong table, 10 refrigerators and a bear(?), there's no lack of eye-candy in the driverly HQ. (Judging by Block's outfit, you'll probably not go thirsty if you're a Monster drinker, either.) Take the tour along with the Gymkhana master, below.
