1966 Ford Bronco Base 4.7l on 2040-cars

This bronco was left in a barn in 1991, by a friend of mine on his uncles farm. He kept license and insurance on the bronco until 09. It was only driven about 1000 miles since 91, so the bronco is going to need some work, such as brakes, the brakes do work just not real good, the engine has blowby, it runs good but it has been sitting a long time!!!! It was originally a 6 cylinder ,but was changed in the 70 "s . My friend has owned this bronco since 1973. The only rust I can see is the inner front fenders,, both sides have a baseball size rust spot,It is a half cab. The paint was done around 1980??? It is a very nice bronco ! Ford sells 7-millionth Explorer in America
Mon, 17 Nov 2014Say what you will about the evolution of the Ford Explorer, from roofed Ranger to body-on-frame sport utility vehicle to unibody crossover - the bottom line is that it's been a tremendously successful model for Ford. In fact, the Blue Oval automaker has sold seven million Explorer models in the United States alone.
The milestone, marked nearly a quarter-century after the introduction of the original in 1990, comes on the eve of the introduction of a new Explorer at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. We don't yet know how the new Explorer will shape up, but we're mere days away from finding out.
Now heading into its sixth generation, the Explorer has formed the basis of Ford's utility lineup for over two decades. The Explorer landed on the market right around the time that the Bronco was trailing off, predating the company's expansion into larger SUVs like the Expedition and Excursion and crossovers like the Escape, Edge and Flex.

Ford evaluating new Fiesta RS?
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Word coming in from across the pond has it that Ford is working on developing the business case to create a new Fiesta RS. The development is encouraged by the extremely positive reception the existing Fiesta ST has garnered to date, and the emergence of the above-pictured Fiesta RS WRC rally car, but it'll take more than goodwill to make a more extreme version a reality.
According to Auto Express, a new roadgoing Fiesta RS would almost certainly be based closely on the ST version, albeit with some vital differences. Its 1.6-liter turbo four would be increased from 180 horsepower to somewhere around 230 hp, and that powertrain would be accompanied by lightweight alloys inside blistered wheel arches, a stripped-out interior and possibly lightweight bodywork.
The vehicle's approval would reportedly require a strong business case in Europe, and not just in the UK where Ford hot hatches traditionally enjoy a strong following. It's unclear whether the Fiesta RS would potentially make the transatlantic voyage to American showrooms, but between it and the larger Focus RS, hopefully the Blue Oval wouldn't leave its home market out of the action altogether.
