'72 Ford Bronco, Very Collectible Early Bronco on 2040-cars
Barrington, Illinois, United States
FOR SALE IS MY '72 FORD BRONCO. I WAS GOING TO RESTORE IT BUT HAVE TOO MANY PROJECTS, JUST FINISHED RESTORING MY DEFENDER AND NOW MY PORSCHE 356. I HATE TO SELL IT BUT CHICAGO WINTER IS COMING AND HAVE NO TIME TO WORK ON IT PLUS I NEED THE SPACE SO I CAN WORK ON MY PRIORITY PROJECTS. SINCE PURCHASED, I HAVE INSTALLED NEW TIE RODS, BALL JOINTS, FRONT BRAKES, STABILIZER SHOCK, CONTROL ARMS,FRONT END BUSHINGS, CHANGED OIL, TRANS, BRAKE FLUIDS, BELTS AND MORE.
BRONCO NEEDS A FEW RUST REPAIRS, NEEDS WHEEL WELLS, PART OF THE FLOOR PANS, AND COMMON FRONT UNDER THE HOOD PANELS. LUCKILY WITH THESE BRONCOS, THERE ARE SEVERAL PLACES TO BUY THE PARTS, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND JOINING THE EARLY BRONCO CLUBS FOR TECHNICAL AND RESOURCES SUPPORT, PARTS ARE INEXPENSIVE, IF YOU ARE A GOOD BODY MAN OR WELDER, THIS IS A PERFECT PROJECT FOR YOU AND DOUBLE OR EVEN TRIPLE YOUR INVESTMENT DEPENDS ON HOW YOU RESTORE IT. BRONCO RUNS AND SHIFTS SMOOTHLY, IT MIGHT NEED A CLUTCH PLATE IN THE FUTURE. ODOMETER READING IS 78K, BUT UNKNOWN, SPEEDO AND ODOMETER WORKS. I'M NOT DESPERATE TO SELL IT, JUST TRYING TO FEEL THE MARKET FOR THESE SOUGHT AFTER EARLY BRONCOS, I HAVE SEEN RESTORED BRONCOS GOING FOR $25-40K, MAKE ME A REASONABLE OFFER. |

Ford unveils Mustang 50th anniversary logo, plans merchandise
Tue, 26 Mar 2013The Ford Mustang turns 50 years old this year, and this is the logo that will announce the milestone occasion on a special line of merchandise. The graphic is the result of an internal design competition, and Ford will give 50 different companies the license to use it on traditional logo merchandise like shirts and watches, along with some untraditional items like pinball machines.
Ford is going to begin the celebrations at this week's New York Auto Show and continue them throughout the year, but April 17 is the official birthday of the the pony car that just won't quit. You can expect to start seeing anniversary merchandise in the next couple of weeks.
Ford posts decade-best $2.1B profit in Q1 2013
Wed, 24 Apr 2013As predicted, Ford has reported that its first quarter of 2013 was a resounding success overall, with a pretax profit of $2.1 billion ($0.41 per share), and a net income of $1.6 billion ($0.40 per share). In fact, Ford made a pretax profit of some $2.4 billion in its home North American market, with that total number being pulled down by losses in South America and Europe. That gaudy North American profit is the strongest result by the automaker since 2000.
Ford's companywide profit for Q1 was down $147 million from one year ago, while the net income number marked an increase of $215 million year over year. Overall, this is Ford's 15th-consecutive profitable quarter.
The bad news from the European market was even worst in Q1 2013 than it was last year. Pretax losses of $462 million - on revenue of $6.7 billion - represented a year-over-year change of -$313 million. In South American, the company reported a loss of $218 million, down from a slim profit of $54 million in Q1 2012. The news was better for Ford Asia Pacific Africa, where a $6 million pretax profit in 2013 showed a year-over-year gain of some $101 million when compared to losses in 2012. 2014 Ford Cobra Jet announced with new colors, parachute mount
Fri, 22 Mar 2013Ford's drag-strip-ready Mustang Cobra Jet is back for 2014, and it's sporting a few changes to make it even better - both in competition and while sitting still. Rolling off the assembly line ready for duty in the NHRA Stock or Super Stock classes, production of the 2014 Cobra Jet is limited to just 50 units.
Racing upgrades for 2014 include the addition of a new three-speed transmission and a parachute mount, and while these will make the car better in the quarter mile, the Cobra Jet's new colors will make it look better tearing down the track. Buyers can now get their racecars painted up in Gotta Have-It Green or a custom, Cobra Jet-exclusive matte black hue. Ford and Ford Racing have already teamed up to make this an incredible factory drag racer with a full rollcage, massive Hoosier slicks, a race-tuned suspension setup and a supercharged 5.0-liter V8. Now, if only wheelie bars came standard...
Unlike the confusing third-party ordering system announced for the COPO Camaro, all you need to snatch up a 2014 Cobra Jet is $97,990 and good timing (as the cars will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis). Ordering opens up next month with production commencing in July. Check out the press release below.
