1988 2 Door Bronco on 2040-cars
Merrillan, Wisconsin, United States
Up for auction is this very desirable Bronco II 4 X 4 with very LOW MILES at 76,500! It was a one owner since new, never driven in the winter and by looking at the underside and frame it is apparent that it wasn't. The frame is in excellent shape with hardly any surface rust. It has a 2.9 litre V-6, automatiac transmission with the shifter on the floor. It is a 4 X 4 that works and shifts great. It has lock out hubs. It has power steering so it handles nice. It also has A/C, however needs charging. I may have this done by end of auction but no guarantees. There is no rust on the exterior. It has newer tires, new brake shoes & hubs on the back. The vehicle sports it's original paint and still looks nice. The glass is all good with a small 6" crack in the lower passenger side of the windshield, barely noticable. The interior is very clean and in nice shape.(See poics) Would be good for a family with small children. The back seat would be perfect for them. The truck goes down the road excellent. It has a very smooth ride. It starts right up, idles smoothly and cool. The stereo radio sounds good. The heater works very good. The back seat folds down to make a nice big space in the back for groceries, supplies or hunting equiptment.(see pics) These Broncos are known for how well they get around in the snow and deep snow. It has a very sharp turning radius and would make a good plow vehicle. All the guages, lights, blinkers, brake lights, headlights(hi & lo beam) and emergency flashers all work properly. This rig is overall is in very nice shape, with low miles. It isn't all worn out. With my low reserve under $4K, I think this would be a good buy. These Broncos are hard to find in this good of condition. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction to PayPal. The balance is due in full within 7 days of the end of the auction as cash in person or wire transfer to our bank account. The balance will NOT be accepted into PayPal. The buyer is responsible for any additional wire fees on their end or the sellers end. The buyer is responsible for arrangement and payment for transportation or pick up of this vehicle. The vehicle can remain here for 30 days to allow for pick up or transportation of this vehicle.

Amazon can now deliver packages to some Ford and Lincoln vehicles
Tue, Apr 30 2019Nothing succeeds without complications popping up along the way. Sure, Amazon's Prime delivery services have made shopping more convenient than brushing your teeth, but leaving millions of packages on doorsteps comes with an inherent danger: Thieves might swipe them without anybody knowing. Amazon's solution is called Amazon Key, which allows delivery men and women to enter a customer's house or car to drop off a package. This week, Ford and Lincoln announced they would be partnering with Amazon to integrate the service into some of their vehicles. Ford is following in the footsteps of Volvo and General Motors, as both companies announced their participation about a year ago. That includes Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC. Key will be made available for 2017-and-newer Fords equipped with FordPass Connect, and 2018-and-later Lincolns with Lincoln Connect. Key is not available everywhere, but it can be used in dozens of city throughout the U.S., and the network is expanding. To look for compatibility for your car and city, check on Amazon's dedicated Key website. Like every other tech invention these days, Key requires a smart device application, which requires a one-time setup. The service is available on the Key app or the FordPass and Lincoln Way apps. While ordering on Amazon, customers will then select in-car delivery during checkout. Input a public delivery address, and park the car within two blocks of that address. While the order is in transit, Amazon will provide status updates, another feature that takes away some of the anxiety of waiting for a package to be delivered. The package will be put into the car within a four-hour window, and users will get notifications that the exchange is complete, and the car is again securely locked. Should customers change their minds, they can always cancel the delivery method, and the car will remain locked. In that case, the delivery could go to the building where the car is parked, or be rescheduled. Ford imagines this as the beginning of numerous car-based services in the near future that can be scheduled while the owner is not there, such as car washes.
Mulally confirms he's not leaving Ford for Microsoft
Tue, 07 Jan 2014In recent months, rumors had been flying about Ford CEO Alan Mulally potentially leaving the company to take a position at Microsoft. Last we heard, Mulally was planning to stick around at Ford through at least 2014, and in an interview today, that bit was confirmed by the CEO himself.
According to the Associated Press, in a report from The Detroit News, Mulally said he will not be leaving Ford for Microsoft, and reiterated that he will remain at the Blue Oval through 2014, if not longer. Mulally has "no plans other than to serve Ford," according to the report.
Mulally did not say whether or not he had been in talks with Microsoft at any point. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has said he plans to leave the software company sometime this year.
Truckmakers squabbling over who can sell Jimmy Fallon a pickup
Sat, 08 Mar 2014Snagging a celebrity endorsement is a big deal for automakers, as evidenced by the recent efforts of the Detroit Three to try and woo The Tonight Show's newest host, Jimmy Fallon, into one of their trucks.
After announcing during Wednesday night's show that he was in the market for a pickup truck, Fallon set off a firestorm of efforts on Twitter, with both Ford and Chevrolet petitioning the funnyman to test out a truck. According to Ad Age, Ford recommended the King Ranch edition of its next-generation F-150 while the show was still airing. Chevy, meanwhile, waited until the next morning to pitch a Silverado to Fallon.
The winner of this social media feeding frenzy, though, was Ram. Promoting a variation of its "Guts, Glory, Ram" tagline, the Auburn Hills-based manufacturer created the hashtag #GUTSGLORYFallon. It even went so far as to park a Ram 1500 outside 30 Rockefeller Center in New York, where The Tonight Show is filmed. On the back of the Ram sat a sign, reading "Big enough, Jimmy? Test it out," referencing a joke from the Wednesday show.
