Hate to offer this up for auction but can no longer afford to put it in storage in the winter and do not want to drive it through the Buffalo Salt or leave it outside. It is about the cleanest Aerostar vans you will find.

It is a 1992, 4.0 Extended van with all the options. It has working front and rear air conditioning, power windows, locks, mirrors, cruise, tilt, rear wiper, AM/FM Cassette, etc. All options work on the van.

The exterior is very clean. The green paint is all original. It has had some touch up around the bottom.  When I bought the van a moron put it on a lift with the pads under the rocker panels and it dented them front and back on both sides. They paid to have it pulled out and painted down low about two years ago. It was not rotted. It does have a couple of bubbles under the original chip guard down under but no rot holes. Undercarriage is very clean, still coated black with the original Ford rustproofing. This van has never seen a winter. The previous owner was a snowbird and would take it to Florida with him each fall.
There is a crack in the rear bumper cover, it is not bad, from a very small collision  where the gentleman who owned this backed into another car in a parking lot in 1996.

The interior is darn near perfect. The rear was never used and the original rug was covered from the back of the front seats to the rear  completely since it was new with the rug that is seen in the photos. The original is underneath and like new. The only real wear is the front section of the headliner, it is not sagging at all but is starting to show cracks from drying out.

I have recently installed a
New Battery and a new Starter and Starter Relay
New rear brakes and hardware
New Front Brakes
New antifreeze and thermostat
and
freshly changed the oil, oil filter and fuel filter.
Tires are all good, Exhaust is excellent

The van runs drives and stops absolutely awesome, I would not hesitate to drive it coast to coast right now.
When changing the oil I noticed it was leaking some oil from the valve covers, I tightened them, but it may need a pair of gaskets. Just want to be up front so there is no surprises. I have not driven it much since to see if it completely stopped, there were a couple of small spots from each side when parked but nothing  dripping when it is running.

The van has a brand new class III hitch that was used one time to haul a small camper to the campgrounds. Has a new 7 prong plug and trailer brake. It pulls with power equal to a V8 and thats no lie. We have not towed with it this year, we sold our camper and bought a motorhome.

Feel free to ask questions as I probably missed something important to you.

As I said I would really like it to go where the weather is nice and not see it ruined in the salt and snow.

Fields 'required' to use private aircraft, could make $5.25M as Ford CEO this year

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

Mark Fields' travels on the friendly skies will soon be a relatively personal affair, as the new CEO at Ford will be required to resume air travel via the company's private planes. Fields caught plenty of flak in 2007 for flying on the company's dime to visit his family in Florida. He's since flown commercial.
According to Ford spokesperson Susan Krusel, who spoke to Bloomberg, Fields (pictured above right, with Bill Ford, Jr. at center and Alan Mulally at left) will switch to private travel "for safety and to maximize his availability for company business." In addition to his new travel arrangements, the 53-year-old exec's salary and bonuses have been revealed.
Regulatory filings by Ford revealed that Fields, whose first day in the big chair was July 1, will receive a base salary this year of $1.25 million and he'll be eligible for $3.5 million in bonuses, both of which are lower than Alan Mulally's $2 million salary and $5.88 million in bonuses received last year. That's also lower than General Motors CEO Mary Barra's alleged $1.6-million salary and considerably less than Sergio Marchionne's $3.19-million fixed salary from Fiat. Despite falling short of other CEOs, Fields' new pay still represents a 33-percent increase over his pay as Chief Operating Officer.

Man turns Ford Fiesta into a one-car band

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

The one-man band is a rather ridiculous idea, drawing up images of one person attempting to manipulate several instruments, at once, in a vain attempt at creating music. It's usually represented by silly scenes like this. Interestingly, the concept isn't much more successful when the "man" in "one-man band" is replaced with "car," as we see in this video.
It seems that someone rigged up and edited (699 times, we might add) a Ford Fiesta, a bucket, 12 PVC pipes and the natural sounds that a car makes to come up with a song. Now, we don't recognize the tune, so we've no idea if this is a cover or an original piece. And while it's hardly Beethoven, we have to admire the amount of effort the "conductor" went to in his attempt to turn a subcompact car into a musical instrument(s). Take a look (or listen) below for the entire video.

Petersen Museum celebrates 50 years of Ford Mustang with special exhibit

Mon, May 5 2014

If you're a pony-car enthusiast, this is your year. Not only has Ford introduced an all-new Mustang, but it's also the 50th anniversary of the original. Celebrations and commemorations have been scheduled throughout the year, and not the least of them is the latest exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Called "Mustangs Forever: 50 Years of a Legend", the exhibit includes Mustangs from every generation of the iconic pony car, including the 1965 convertible Ronald Reagan drove during his California gubernatorial campaign, a 1971 Mach 1 Cobra Jet, a 1974 Mustang II, 1993 SVT Cobra, 2000 Cobra R and a 2006 Shelby GT-H. Special sections focus on motorsports, aftermarket modifiers and limited-edition models. The display opened on Sunday with the Mustang Madness spectacular and will run for the next six months, but if you're not heading to Southern California within the coming half-year then you can scope out all the action in our live gallery of photos above.
