2005 Ford Taurus Sel 4 Door Sedan Good Condition 78,060 Miles Clean Title on 2040-cars
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, United States
This auction is for a 2005 Ford Taurus SEL 4 door Sedan. It is in good condition and has low miles of only 78,060. There is nothing wrong with the vehicle mechanically. It was just inspected at the end of March so the next inspection is due March/2015. It has minor scratches and paint chipping which is normal wear and tear on various places on the vehicle but still looks great. It has a small dent in the drivers side rear bumper. The estimate I was given to fix the dent in the bumper and paint was $500. Inside the vehicle is good with just minor wear. The pictures will give a good idea of the condition of the car which is overall in good to very good condition in my opinion. I am the 2nd owner of this vehicle. I bought it in 2008 before I got out of the United States Marine Corps with roughly 23,000 miles and in the past 6 years have only put 55,000 miles on it. I have kept up with all the regular maintenance of the vehicle. It has a clean title and is in hand ready to sell. The SEL is the luxury edition of the 2005 Ford Taurus and it is a great vehicle and gets good mileage. The factory estimate I believe was 18 city/ 24 highway. The extras that are included in this vehicle above the Kelly Blue Book Value are the after market remote start, and the 2 JL Audio 10 inch speakers in carpeted box with a 1,000 watt Kenwood Amplifier. This adds nicely to the sound especially since it came factory with a 6 disc CD changer. You can also get an adapter to hookup your IPOD to it as well. The Kelly Blue Book Value for this vehicle in good condition is $5,693. I am asking $5,000 or best offer. So you are already getting a good deal at $693 under Kelly Blue Book plus you get the remote start and sound system included for free. I would prefer to have the vehicle picked up locally in Bethlehem PA. I am not even sure how to go about shipping a car but if your willing to have it picked up at my home and shipped for you all at your cost I am sure that can be arranged after payment is received. The vehicle meets the condition I have described here so there are no returns, you are buying the vehicle in the condition it is currently in. It is a great car that you will love. I hate to part with it but my wife and I are downsizing to one vehicle as she is currently unable to drive due to epilepsy. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me. Thank you for your consideration.

1964 Ford GT40 prototype sells for $7M
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Seven-figure Ferraris are not horribly rare. Heck, an eight-figure Ferrari isn't a rare occurrence. Between modern masterpieces like the Enzo and more classic offerings, cracking the million-dollar mark isn't a particularly tall order for the cars from Maranello. For a Ford, though, it's a big deal.
Now, this is not just some rare Mustang. This is a GT40, the car that Henry Ford II commissioned to whip Enzo Ferrari around a track in France. As far as the Le Mans-winning racers go, they don't get much rarer than this one. Sold at the Mecum Auctions in Houston, this is one of the prototypes, meaning it's one of the very first GT40s ever built. That makes its $7 million winning a bid, a record for on-air coverage of the auction, a pretty darn impressive figure.
You can watch the auction below, but first, take a look back at our original story on this rare Blue Oval.
Ford Transit Skyliner Concept is a Gulfstream for the road
Sat, 12 Apr 2014If you are afraid to fly or just want to arrive at your ultimate destination in absolute comfort, then the Ford Transit Skyliner concept might be the perfect vehicle for you. Built by Galpin Auto Sports and based on a 2015 Transit, the van is basically a private jet on wheels. It even has a touch of Transformers about it with the ability to switch between four modes by pressing a button in a smartphone app.
Based on the long wheelbase, high-roof model with 487 cubic feet of cargo space and 6 feet, 9.5 inches of interior height, the Skyliner has movable captains chairs that shift around among four modes. In theater mode, the seats turn and recline to face a 52-inch retractable movie screen with 7.2 surround sound. For business, a motorized table unfolds, and the chairs gather around it. There is a mode for tailgating where the door opens four-feet wide, and, when traveling, passengers can recline back with footrests that extend for maximum comfort.
To make the ride even plusher, there is a satellite and media server to meet your entertainment needs, and there is even a built-in bar in the back. If this Ford had a bathroom, you could live in it. Of course, you would need to hire a driver to enjoy all the amenities in the back.
Autoblog joins Elon Musk and Danica Patrick in accepting ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Tue, 19 Aug 2014Unless you've been living in an off-the-grid cabin in the woods for the last couple of weeks or abstain entirely from social media activities, you've probably seen someone you know dump a bucket of ice and water over their own head recently. While the origins of the so-called Ice Bucket Challenge are shrouded in a history typical of Internet memes, its effectiveness in raising money and awareness for the ALS Association has been astonishing.
Celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, sports, technology and more have generated untold millions of video views in support of the organization that is helping patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease), and generated a much needed influx of cash, as well. Recent reports have some $15.6M raised in the last two weeks.
Of course, the big-hearted world of automotive celebrities has taken part in the drenching charity effort as well. Follow on below for some of the biggest names on four wheels getting iced for charity, with a smattering of your favorite Autobloggers thrown in for good measure.
