1992 FORD AEROSTAR ALL WHEEL DRIVE SHORTY GOOD: NO LEAKS, SHIFTS GOOD, TEMPERATURE IS NORMAL, ENGINE HAS NO NOISES, INTERIOR IS CLEAN AND NO RIPS OR SERIOUS STAINS. EXTERIOR HAS NO DENTS, CLEARCOAT IS NICE AND PAINT IS SHINY. TIRES ARE HALF TREAD. ALL OPTIONS WORK INCLUDING COLD A/C. HAS A TRAILER HITCH. HAS A NEW BUG SHIELD AND RAIN VISORS. HAS AFTER MARKET WHEELS AND RUNNING BOARDS. THE CV JOINTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED SOME TIME BACK. BAD: 1 AREA OF RUST UP UNDER THE ROCKER ABOVE THE RUNNING BOARDS (see pic - can't see rust unless you lay on the ground and look up). SUNVISORS HAVE DISCOLORED. REAR BUMPER IS CRACKED (see pic). THE PASSENGER DOOR IS A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT COLOR WHITE (I assume it has been replaced at some point). THE INDICATOR BEZEL (PRND23) IS MISSING. THE GEAR LEVER CATCHES SOME WHEN PUTTING IT IN GEAR (once you do it and see how it's quirky, it's not a big deal). SOME PAINT MISSING ABOVE THE DOOR (see pic). We've driven the van on a couple trips lately. It always does great. It always starts and is a reliable vehicle. This winter the van was in a snow (2 inches) covered parking lot at the bottom of a steep hill. It went up the snowy hill like it was on dry pavement. Amazing in the snow and rain. The short wheel base and running boards and wheels really set the van off. It's a good looking van and runs good too !! I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere you need to go. the deposit is NON REFUNDABLE but you are not obligated to take the van but you will lose the $150 deposit |

Mustang, Camaro, Challenger gallop onto USPS pony car postage stamp set
Tue, Jul 19 2022Some of America's most iconic cars are about to be immortalized on postage stamps. A new set by the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the the golden era of pony cars, featuring five classic examples of Detroit iron. Each one is beautifully illustrated in oil-on-canvas style, with subjects in motion and sunlight glinting off the chrome, and would add a nice touch to any first-class letter. The pony car segment was all about (relatively) small, sporty alternatives to the full-size land yachts of the 1960s. They typically came equipped with 6-cylinder engines or small-block V8s. The category was named after the Ford Mustang, hence the name. Some, though, argue that the Plymouth Barracuda, which was launched a couple of weeks before the Mustang, is the first. Luckily, the Falcon-based Mustang's distinct styling generated a sales sensation, or we might be calling them fish cars. Appropriately, one of the featured cars is a Mustang. But it's not just any Mustang. The 1969 Boss 302, seen here resplendent in Bright Yellow, was created for the hotly-contested SCCA Trans-Am racing series. One of its main rivals would have been the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28, also created specifically for the series, and is included in the set in Fathom Green. Representing Auburn Hills in the set is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Plum Crazy, while Southfield's American Motors gets a nod with an AMC Javelin in Big Bad Orange. The Mustang's platform cousin, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7, is portrayed in a gorgeous Burgundy Poly that almost looks incomplete without Neko Case on the hood. It's not the first time the USPS has honored America's rich car culture on its stamps. In 2013, it issues a series of muscle car stamps with the help of Richard Petty. That set featured a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1970 Chevelle SS, 1970 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda and, of course, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Another set in 2016 featured classic pickup trucks. Going further back, a 2008 release had chroed and finned automobiles of the 1950s and a 2005 release featured sporty American cars of the same era. The pony car stamps will debut on August 25 at the Great American Stamp Show in Sacramento, California in partnership with the American Philatelic Society. The public is free to attend the dedication ceremony, but you must RSVP first. After that, they will be available at local post offices and on line at the USPS store.
2015 Ford Mustang production starts in Flat Rock
Thu, 28 Aug 2014Today's the day, Ford fans. Production has officially commenced on the sixth-generation 2015 Mustang at the company's Flat Rock, MI factory. As production ramps up, sales should kick off in the coming months.
The production news isn't just a bit deal for American fans. With the new Mustang getting a bespoke right-hand-drive variant, the pony car's worldwide availability has swollen to include 120 different countries, including its home nation.
"Mustang is and will continue to be an automotive icon," Joe Hinrichs, Ford's president of the Americas, said in a statement. "Expanding its availability globally affords our customers around the world the opportunity to have a true firsthand Mustang experience - one unlike any other."
Ken Block's Gymkhana 8 to feature Dubai Police cars?
Tue, Feb 23 2016Yesterday we showed you the shiny Ford Fiesta that Ken Block will slide, spin, and hoon through the next Gymkhana video. In case the image above isn't clear, that video will drop at midnight EST on February 30th on the Ford Performance YouTube channel. We don't know all the entire premise of the video yet, but this Tweet from the man himself reveals that the video will be set in Dubai. Block is standing on the Fiesta we saw yesterday, and arrayed behind him are a handful of those famous Dubai Police cars you're probably familiar with. The force has a fleet of sportscars and supercars, and the purpose is outreach and goodwill among its citizenry, not necessarily the pursuit of criminals. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. From left to right, we can see a Maserati GranTurismo, Porsche 911, what looks to be a Nissan GT-R obscured by Block's Fiesta, a McLaren (likely a 650S), Ford Mustang, and a Ferrari 599 of some ilk. Will they take part? Maybe Block will try and run from what might be the most horsepower-intensive police fleet in the world. We'll have answers (and a few minutes of pure Block hooniganism) in a few days. Related Video:
