If you have been looking for an easy, very worthwhile project then this 1966 Fastback factory GT may be for you. This GT is a factory 4 speed that drives very well which makes it very easy to transport and drive while restoring. Retains original buck tag with the P10 code which means GT package all vins match and original door tag remains and decodes as follows:  63A  R. 26. 09K. 31. 1. 1. . It is Factory Ivy Green with black standard interior and white GT stripe.  It still remains its original color combo. It was also an air conditioned car from the factory and comes with compressor but under dash unit is missing. All glass is excellent.  This car has been off the road since the eighties and has only 104,000 actual miles. Plenty of work has been done mechanically to make this car road worthy including but not limited to new radiator, water pump, disc brakes redone, emergency brake redone, entire new fuel system, new gas tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, new Holley 4160 carb, intake gaskets, etc. Front floors are new along with new seat risers. New torque boxes and leaf springs, all done by professional shop. Rear floors under rear seat need work and car is scheduled to have new rear floor put in next week. I can continue with this repair if buyer chooses or that can be deducted from final price. Body isn't bad with some minor bubbles on quarter panel as pictured. Trunk in good shape and stuffed full with tons of new and original parts to complete car once body and paint is done. All new chrome, trumpet exhaust tips, bumpers, emblems, etc. interior is complete, new upholstery on front seats, new carpet installed, new headliner and dash installed. New sills, the list goes on. Someone with knowledge and skill can literally have this car done in a few weeks. Buy it now is close to reserve and will include rear floor work. We are not a shop and would have this done professionally at local speed shop that we have used. Car can also be completely under coated as well to have a seamless look. Car is complete. These project cars are very hard to come by. Double your investment easily with this factory GT four speed fastback. Title is clear and ready. We will assist in transport. Ford evaluating new Fiesta RS?

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

Word coming in from across the pond has it that Ford is working on developing the business case to create a new Fiesta RS. The development is encouraged by the extremely positive reception the existing Fiesta ST has garnered to date, and the emergence of the above-pictured Fiesta RS WRC rally car, but it'll take more than goodwill to make a more extreme version a reality.
According to Auto Express, a new roadgoing Fiesta RS would almost certainly be based closely on the ST version, albeit with some vital differences. Its 1.6-liter turbo four would be increased from 180 horsepower to somewhere around 230 hp, and that powertrain would be accompanied by lightweight alloys inside blistered wheel arches, a stripped-out interior and possibly lightweight bodywork.
The vehicle's approval would reportedly require a strong business case in Europe, and not just in the UK where Ford hot hatches traditionally enjoy a strong following. It's unclear whether the Fiesta RS would potentially make the transatlantic voyage to American showrooms, but between it and the larger Focus RS, hopefully the Blue Oval wouldn't leave its home market out of the action altogether.

Ford pits Cobra Jet versus GRC Fiesta ST, worlds collide

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

Racing takes on many forms in the automotive world. There are sanctioned events that are as varied and diverse as NASCAR, Formula One, Global Rallycross and drag racing, and to be good enough to win competitively in one discipline, you need to have a specialized vehicle. Or do you?
Ford decided to find out what would happen when its Global Rallycross Fiesta ST, driven by Tanner Foust, lined up against its Mustang Cobra Jet drag racer, driven by Roy Hill. In one lane, Tanner has just 2.0 liters of displacement to work with, while Roy has more than double that, at 5.0 liters. Evening the playing field a bit, Tanner has a massive turbocharger and all-wheel drive; Roy has to filter all his supercharged power through the rear wheels only.
So, who wins? We suggest you see for yourself in the press release and video below. And we're holding out hope that Tanner's challenge at the end results in another video from Ford Racing...

Hennessey completes first VelociRaptor SUV conversion [w/video]

Mon, 20 May 2013

Start with a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor as your base vehicle for modification, and chances are high that you'll end up with something pretty cool. Now, have those modifications done by professional lunatics Hennessey Performance, make the project turning the pickup into an ultra-long SUV, and the result stands a real chance of being a total kick in the ass. Let us present the Hennessey VelociRaptor then, in all of its awesomeness.
Hennessey has taken care in grafting a "Expedition style" rear cabin onto the Raptor, complete with an optional third row. The pictures we have show a cabin that's up to the fit and finish standards of the original Ford truck, too. The cab added over the bed also makes room for a massive load space out back, accessible via split out-folding doors and long enough for a person to lay down in (see video).
Mechanically, the truck-turned-SUV sticks with Ford's stock 6.2-liter V8, rated at 411 horsepower, or can be had with a supercharger and some 600 hp. Hennessey says the stock-motor VelociRaptor will run from 0-60 miles per hour in 7.5 seconds, while the hi-po version takes just 5.9 seconds. The SUV does take some of the off-road ability away from the Raptor, with the company saying it hasn't yet had the opportunity to test its capabilities. On-roading and "moderate off-road duties" are the current prescription.
