2012 FIAT 500c - Cabrio (Convertible) 14,900 Miles, One Owner, No Accidents. You can't find a nicer pre-owned FIAT than this one. Comes with balance of FIAT comprehensive factory warranty (4 year / 50,000 miles). GAS MILEAGE: 38 Hwy / 30 City <--- What??? Yes, its true. You could drive some bland and boring Toyota and get 34 MPG or drive this cool FIAT with style, convertible AND better gas mileage. You don't have to compromise between fun and sensible. Exterior Color: Mocha Latte (Tan) / Looks AMAZING in person, you cannot help but smile when you see this car. It'll definitely brighten your day parked in your driveway (and even more when it greets you in your spot after work or school). This color is a tribute to the Italian car colors of the late 50's and 60's and is very nostalgic. You can definitely say you live the Dolce Vita when you are in this car Top: Tan. Cloth top retracts with a touch of a button (and even a secret trick on the key fob). Let me be clear about the top since there is some mis-information on the internet. The top has 3 modes. The first opens it about a foot, so you have something like a little sunroof. The second position opens the roof completely so you have a super big sunroof <-- in THIS position you still have perfect view out of your back window. Then, there is a third position, which takes the roof all the way to the trunk. In that position you can still see out the back, but you have to adjust the rear view. But that one is the "money" way to drive. Super cool and feels like a proper cabrio. Interior Color: Seats are part cream color and part dark brown cloth. Very light and airy. Dealer upgraded wood trim kit. Wheels: Premium FIAT wheels Body: Excellent Engine: Excellent Interior: Excellent Mechanicals: Excellent Tires: Excellent Brakes: Excellent Super Fun: Yes This is a fantastic car especially if you live in an urban environment. Gas mileage is super. Having a convertible top makes for nice drives in mornings, afternoons and evenings. A/C, Auto Windows, CD Player, USB Connection (for iPod or android or USB Drive). Also has nice Bluetooth with voice dialing so you don't have to take your phone out. This is the "Pop" model, . I have owned this car since new. No Accidents. No problems with it. Drives great, everything works. This was purchased as a fun weekend car, but I ended up traveling a lot for work and could not use it as much as I'd like. Since I don't use as much as much as I want, I'm selling. My loss (and depreciation) is your gain. There are no regrets with this car. only 14900 hwy miles. Automatic Transmission Power top, windows Beautiful, and seemingly rare, Mocha Latte color. Ivory and Brown interior with $1200 dealer installed wood trim package. 6 speed auto trans Bose premium Audio with Sirius satellite radio Cost over $23900 when new Plates paid until Sep. 2014 15" Aluminum Wheels Convertible! Looks & drives great No accidents Non-smoker Still under factory warranty Very clean interior And, again, very well maintained I am selling this privately, not a dealer. You are responsible for picking up the car, but if you don't live nearby and you want it shipped, I can give you some recommendations for shipping - it really is a relatively simple process. CAN DELIVER WITHIN 700 MILES FOR A FEE. Payment is required within 7-days. $500 deposit required with 48 hours through PayPal. You are responsible for Inspecting the car BEFORE you purchase. Car is sold AS-IS. |

Here's why GM is giving Marchionne the cold shoulder
Tue, Sep 8 2015What's funny about an Automotive News story titled Why Won't GM Play Ball with Marchionne? is that few people outside of the Fiat CEO and his confidants understands why General Motors would play ball with the Italian company. Marchionne has said the combined entity could increase its annual earnings by $5 billion, but even an outside analyst that agreed with the number only conditionally agreed, saying, "If you assume some synergies and peak US cycle market conditions then, yes, they could get to 30 billion." However, that same analyst described Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as "probably the most challenged within the global industry." Not US industry – global. And before that revenue goal could be reached, the merged companies would need to wade through a bureaucratic swamp. Plus the executive, manufacturing, financial, platform, procurement, and international labor swamps, among a few others. This AN piece can be viewed as GM's response to Marchionne's assertions and offers of various "hugs." It lays out numerous reasons why a more focused and disciplined GM - one almost done with a major crisis and able to focus on its priorities - believes Fiat would be the desperate housewife in such a scenario. On the other hand, while AN doesn't have Marchionne's numbers, to get a better sense of where the Italian is coming from you should read more of the "Industry on Trial" special report. Not that it justifies the creation of a GM-FCA, but it shows that the capital expenditures considering the amount of automaker development overlap are, to the outside eye, staggering. Marchionne urges industry consolidation, again
Fri, May 29 2015Sergio Marchionne isn't just an instigator of mergers – he's also a staunch advocate for their need in the industry. And he seems convinced another big one will happen in the next few years. "I am absolutely certain that before 2018 there will be a merger," said Marchionne. "It's my personal opinion, based on a gut feeling." Though the terms "absolutely certain" and "gut feeling" would seem to convey vastly different degrees of certainty, his chief's statement would seem to suggest some inside knowledge of an impending deal. Marchionne, of course, brokered the consolidation of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles empire over which he now presides, and has been actively seeking another merger to help reduce redundancy and overhead between major automakers in the industry. With which automaker he might be seeking such a merger, however, remains a big question. He was recently reported to have approached Mary Barra regarding a potential merger with General Motors, but was said to have been rebuffed. The Italian-Canadian executive may not be alone in his advocacy for industry consolidation, though. Opel chief Karl-Thomas Neumann said that "In principle, Marchionne is right – the auto industry develops the same things ten times over." Bringing major automakers together would ostensibly reduce that redundancy. Marchionne had been linked to a potential takeover of Opel when GM was shedding brands post-bankruptcy, but in the end the Detroit giant opted to keep its European division in-house.
Fiat shareholders green-light Chrysler merger, end of an Italian era
Fri, 01 Aug 2014Fiat has just taken a major step away from its Italian heritage, as shareholders officially approved the company's merger with Chrysler. That move will lead to the formation of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV, a Dutch company based in Great Britain and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, according to Automotive News Europe.
The company captured the two-thirds majority at a special shareholders meeting, although there are still a few situations that could defeat the movement. According to ANE, roughly eight percent of shareholders opposed the merger, which is a group large enough to defeat the plan, should they all exercise their exit rights outlined in the merger conditions.
Meanwhile, Fiat Chairman John Elkann (pictured above, right, with CEO Sergio Marchionne and Ferrari Chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo), the great-great-grandson of Fiat founder Giovanni Agnelli, reaffirmed his family's commitment to the company beyond the merger. Exor, the Agnelli family's holding company, still maintains a 30-percent stake in Fiat.
