2013 Fiat Abarth Loaded With <1,400 Miles...outstanding Condition!! on 2040-cars
Rockford, Illinois, United States
Outstanding condition and as close to showroom new as you will find. There is not a single scratch on car, rims, interior, etc. Non-smoker vehicle that still smells like a new car! I purchased this vehicle new on March 30, 2013 when it had 17 miles on it. It was delivered from MI to Northern IL and had 293 miles on it when it arrived. I have therefore put roughly 1,000 miles on the car. This is my daily driver, so mileage will continue to increase.
This Abarth is a blast to drive with incredible handling and perhaps the most amazing sound I've heard out of a car costing less than $100k! This vehicle is equipped with every option that I am aware of and had an MSRP of $27,995 (I have window sticker). While I prefer the Abarth without the side "ABARTH" decals, I do have a set of (factory) black ABARTH decals that I will include with this vehicle so they can be installed by the new owner at his/her time/expense if he/she so desires. You will find plenty of Abarth photos (with decals) on the internet if you aren't familiar with what I am referring to. This vehicle is equipped with: (black) Leather and heated seats, power sunroof, Beats (by Dr. Dre) premium audio system with factory subwoofer in rear cargo area, Sirius Satellite with balance of 12 month full access subscription (from ~March 29, 2014), CD/Sat/AM/FM, Blutooth phone connectivity through audio system, USB port with media function that displays all music files and folders on the stereo screen AND optionally on the driver's informational screen, multi-functional driver's display with tire pressure sensor reading, trip computer A & B, average miles, fuel economy, etc. Also included are 17" hyper black performance rims with Pirelli tires, red brake calipers, etc. The vehicle is 100% STOCK - never modified - however there are many aftermarket upgrades available through such sources as "Madness 500" if the 160HP / 170 LB Ft Torque don't propel this vehicle quickly enough for you. This Abarth achieves an estimated 28/34 MPG when driven responsibly via a five speed MANUAL transmission. There are no stories with this Abarth. Never damaged, clean title, not a scratch, stain, or blemish that I am aware of...even the rims are completely free of curb rash. I am in my mid 40s and sold a larger vehicle in late March, which required me to find a replacement vehicle in < 2 days. I thought I would relive my youth with a fun, sporty, fuel efficient, performance vehicle. While this Abarth has upheld it's end of the bargain by being all these things and more, I'm not as 'youthful' as I once was. Simply put, I need a more practical vehicle for our family of five. Despite an MSRP of $27,995, I am aware that due to incentives on new vehicles I won't get anywhere near what I paid. That said, the Buy it Now price is very fair/reasonable. In many states you will also pay less sales tax buying private party vs. dealership. This vehicle has the balance of full factory warranty (4yr / 48,000) and I have a certificate for a few free scheduled oil changes. If you are looking for an amazingly functional, fuel efficient, sporty, and very unique performance vehicle in like new condition, look no further...this is THE car for you. Please be advised that I paid cash for this vehicle and have a clear Illinois title in hand. That said, this is in no way a distress sale. If you arrive with a cashier's check for agreed upon price, the car & title are yours that day! No waiting for me to obtain title from a finance company. If I don't receive the right offer, I will simply keep the car. Please be advised that if you email me with a ridiculous, unsolicited offer you will likely receive an equally ridiculous (and not so friendly) response, if I even respond at all. If you are seeking an Abarth, you will NOT be disappointed with this vehicle. Thank you for looking and bidding! |

Mopar highlights wild SEMA creations, AWD Challenger Concept
Tue, Nov 3 2015Thanks to 15,345 square feet of display area, FCA US' Mopar division certainly has ample space to display its parts and accessories at the SEMA Show. To lure attendees to check out all of those cars and components, the company is now revealing ten tuned vehicles for this year's aftermarket event. This isn't even the brand's whole fleet for the show, but it includes some major highlights for Dodge and Ram fans. A lack of traction traditionally makes rear-wheel-drive muscle cars dismal to drive when the weather gets slippery, but the Dodge Challenger GT AWD Concept (above) solves that age-old problem at SEMA. In addition to powering all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic, it boasts an angry-looking, wide-body kit with aggressively flared wheel arches. The asymmetrical stripe with Header Orange accents also adds some extra panache to the Destroyer Grey and Matte Black color scheme. The coupe can back up the macho look thanks to the Scat Pack 3 Performance Kit that adds 75 horsepower and 44 pound-feet of torque to the 5.7-liter V8. However, before you get too excited about driving one this winter, FCA US spokesperson Ariel Gavilan tells Autoblog: "It is only a concept." Mopar isn't done tuning Dodges for SEMA. The Charger Deep Stage 3 shows what's possible with the company's catalog by packing the Scat Pack 3, strut tower braces, coilover suspension kit, and bigger brakes. Meanwhile, the blacked-out Dart GLH Concept tries to harken back to the style of the famous Omni GLH by fitting a red-accented body kit, including a Mopar Performance aluminum hood. If the standard Ram 1500 Rebel is somehow too subdued, check out the Rebel X (right) in a vibrant shade called Copper. To be ready for anything offroad, it wears some muscular flares to fit 17-inch beadlock wheels and 35-inch Toyo tires. A concept, two-piece front skid plate protects the front. Drivers should also be comfortable no matter where they drive thanks to prototype Katzkin leather seats and a concept air-ride suspension. Chrysler enjoys some mods, as well. The 300 Super S has suave style with Matte Cerulean paint, concept 22-inch wheels, and a grille with little Mopar Ms dotted around it. Performance also sees a boost with a tuned engine, bigger brakes, and coilover kit. The gray 200 S Mopar is similarly stylish with a complete body kit, including a conceptual, dual-vented hood. Fiat and Ram's commercial models aren't left out of the SEMA fun, either.
2013 Fiat Panda Antartica is crossover dressed as a penguin in a tuxedo [w/video]
Wed, 11 Sep 2013If the results of our totally informal, completely unscientific poll are anything to go by, Americans are eager to get their hands on small utility vehicles like the Fiat Panda. And it's easy to see why - accessibility, relatively low price and 4x4 capability are traits that ought to work in America just as in the rest of the world. Indeed, Fiat has sold 500,000 or so Panda models over the past 30 years all across Europe.
Based on the Panda 4x4 Rock and updated with a special white, black and orange color scheme (called a tuxedo and inspired by a Penguin, apparently), fog lights and 15-inch alloy wheels, the Panda Antartica will soon hit European dealerships in limited quantities powered by either an 85-horsepower 900cc TwinAir engine or a 75-hp 1.3-liter diesel.
Take a look at it in our high-res gallery above, and be sure to scroll down below for a press release and the complete Fiat press conference from Frankfurt on video.
Fiat Chrysler posts $690M Q1 loss
Mon, 12 May 2014If there is one thing that should be remembered when looking at quarterly and annual earnings, it's that the headline numbers rarely tell the whole story when it comes to an automaker's health. Chrysler's first-quarter earnings are just such an example.
Yes, the Auburn Hills-based manufacturer lost $690 million, which is quite a large sum of money. The reasons for the loss, according to Chrysler, were "Unfavorable infrequent items," which includes a $504 million payment to rid itself of the debts it took on for prepaying the UAW's VEBA healthcare trust. Chrysler was also hit with a $672 million charge to the UAW, which was part of a deal that allowed Fiat to purchase the remaining shares of Chrysler owned by the VEBA.
Ignoring those one-time deals, the first quarter was quite a successful one for Chrysler. It would have made $486 million if you erased the merger costs, which would have been a year-over-year increase of $320 million. Even more promising is the fact that Chrysler snagged the largest increase in market share of any automaker during Q1 at 1.1 percent, bringing its overall share to 12.7 percent of the US market. Chrysler saw a 30-percent improvement in sales of trucks and SUVs, along with an 11-percent increase in year-over-year sales and a 23-percent increase in revenue, to $19 billion.
