Beautiful Ferrari Mondial 3.2 Cabriolet in Rossa Corsa with clean light tan interior. 48K miles. Clear title. No accidents. Imported from Florida in 2008. I have owned this Mondial since 2010. Desirable 3.2L motor has excellent compression and sounds fantastic. This is a fast and tight Mondial that is a blast to drive! Drives great with no mechanical issues. No leaks, overheating issues etc. All instruments, electrics, lights, accessories etc. work properly. Strong clutch and ALL gears including 1st to 2nd shift perfectly. Brakes are in excellent shape. Recent comprehensive inspection and major service by independent Ferrari specialist. Work included valve adjustment, new timing belts, tensioner bearings, camshaft seals, valve cover gaskets, rebuilt water pump, new fuel injectors and fuel pump, new shift shaft seals, rebuilt steering rack, new front ball joints, tie rod ends w/ alignment and wheel balancing, NOS radiator, new expansion tank, new Interstate battery, and all new filters and fluids. I have over $9K in receipts. Professionally refinished factory 16" wheels and tires are in excellent condition. The bad: Carpet in fair condition. Top needs replacement - cost $600-800 depending on quality. Paint shines good but I would rate it 7/10 overall. Few minor dings on driver's side door and nose panel. Will need e-brakes adjusted (does not engage at times) - I do have an extra set of cables. Door lock barrels are worn (both sides) - I have an extra set of barrels with a new matching key. Have original owner’s manual, new velour floor mats w/red Cavallino logo, original black leather boot cover, plus a rare oem black leather tonneau cover ($1000+ value). No oem toolkit with car. Ferrari chairman ticked off by Alonso
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Luca Cordero di Montezemolo does not strike us as the kind of person we'd want to cross. We imagine the Chairman of Ferrari as sort of like an automotive Don Corleone, a thought that is further confirmed when we hear about the aftermath of last weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.
Fernando Alonso made some unsubstantiated remarks that have angered his team, with The Daily Mail reporting that when asked after the race what he wanted for his birthday, the Spaniard responded "Someone else's car." And while no one seems to know exactly what was said, it was enough to prompt a personal phone call from the boss of Ferrari on Alonso's birthday for a dressing down.
Montezemolo reminded Alonso that, "All the great champions who have driven for Ferrari have always been asked to put the interests of the team above their own. This is the moment to stay calm, avoid polemics and show humility and determination in making one's own contribution, standing alongside the team and its people both at the track and outside it."
Ferrari to launch new model every year, keep production limited
Tue, 06 May 2014You've no doubt perused the big news coming out of Fiat-Chrysler's headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI today. But at the end of the brand discussions, Sergio Marchionne spoke briefly about an incredibly important, low-volume part of the Fiat-Chrysler empire: Ferrari.
"You do need one of these cars in your driveway," Marchionne joked. And while other brand heads today lined out detailed plans for future product, Sergio's words about Ferrari's next five years were very simple, and very vague.
Marchionne confirmed that Ferrari will launch a new car every year between now and 2018. The cars will have a four-year lifecycle, after which, "M" versions will be produced, with a separate four-year cadence. No specific models were mentioned during Marchionne's presentation.

Fri, Apr 15 2016There was a time when snow, rain, and even thick traffic were higher up the list of Ferrari's enemies than Porsche. These were mostly weekend cars, but even wet roads would see them snugly tucked up in their heated garages, and not just because to avoid scrubbing muddy shoe prints out of the carpets. Some of them were difficult enough to handle in the dry, and slick pavement sure didn't make them any more tolerant. The hottest modern Ferraris still don't enjoy being stuck in heavy traffic. Not for any mechanical reasons, mind you. They just don't bother hiding their utter disregard for the mundane, or their disregard for a driver forcing them to endure it, because they feel it's beneath them. And it is. That's where the California came in. Launched in 2008, the retractable-hardtop convertible is the most approachable in the company's range. It was aimed at newly moneyed buyers who weren't saturated in supercar folklore and wanted the badge, but not necessarily all of that attitude. Some, but not all. There are those California buyers who want the convenience with a little more attitude and the trademark crankiness. So, as it did with the original California, Ferrari has added a Handling Speciale Package to the new turbocharged California T's repertoire. This $8,120 option turns the least expensive Ferrari into something that's stiffer and faster and more fun, and the trade-off is a slightly firmer ride, all the time. 30 percent of Ferrari buyers would be happier to dump some of the California T's comfy ride in favor of more grip and more crankiness. Ferrari has left the core of the California T's engine untouched, so the 3.9-liter, twin-turbo V8 still has 557 lb-ft of torque from 4,750 rpm and 553 horsepower at 7,500 rpm. Like on every California T, the engine's boost manager only lets you access 442 lb-ft in the first three gears, with each successive gear unlocking a little more torque until you reach seventh, where the maximum is available. This helps make the California T drivable and has the added benefit of flexibility once in the tall top gear. While that is all stock on the California T, the seven-speed dual-clutch Getrag gearbox is the first part of the car to receive the Handling Speciale treatment. Ferrari rewrote its software to make it shift more aggressively both up (30 percent quicker) and down (40 percent quicker), particularly in the car's two sportier driving modes.
