Year:1986 Mileage:48035 Color: and black

Brentwood, Tennessee, United States

Car is all original and very clean.  Only 48,000 miles.

I bought it from the second owner who had it for 7 years. This is becoming a more and more desired model given they’re one of the more bullet proof, dependable Ferraris and are relatively easy to work on (engine doesn’t need to be removed for services); not to mention they’re rare.

Hard to beat the sound, the style, the handling……I get questions/looks every place I take it.

·         Original Red (Corso Rosso) exterior and black (Nero) leather interior

·         Original paint – never touched up.  Has some minor / few rock chips on the aluminum front hood deck fin….again, very minor but wanted to fully disclose.

·         Runs / starts extremely well. Sounds incredible. Handling is great.

·         Had the "major" Ferrari service 7,000 miles ago (full tune up, water pump, fuel filters, timing belts, hoses, and more) so wont need another major until 60k

·         Interior very nice....seats flawless, dash flawless, all electronics work

·         AC blows cold, heater blows hot

·         Has Denon AM/FM cassette stereo system with 6 disc changer

·         Includes full size spare with matching OEM wheel

·         Full Ferrari took kit

·         Service records; parts records

·         Owners manual, Shop manual, Parts manual

·         Extra oil filter

·         Tonneau cover that covers the interior area

·         Beverly Hills custom fit full car cover

·         Upgraded aluminum pedals

·         Convertible top is perfect and rear window is clear (not yellowed)

·         Includes boot for when top is down

·         Michelin TRX tires have about 400 miles on them

·         I just installed a new and redesigned GT Car Parts fuesebox.  The boxes in the 328, 308, Mondials and some others are the one weakness in these cars.  It was showing signs of corrosion and delamination, so I replaced.

·         Also installed a new Optima Red Top battery - the best I could get.

·         And, I have two new cam belts and two new Hill Engineering tensioner bearings - the key maintenance items on these machines.  These were just replaced 7,000 miles ago......but due to time, could be installed.  Its very easy to do and involves only removing the right rear wheel - the engines in the Mondials do not need to be removed for services.  If I find some time in the near future, I will do it.....but with travel and family, unlikely.  I can provide a tutorial with pictures if needed.

So this car is top notch and ready to drive....needs not a thing.  NADA average retail is $34,500 and high retail is $39,900 – before any low mileage adjust.  Car needs nothing at all. Title is clear and clean with no liens.

Potential for PARTIAL trades plus cash.  Welcome to bring a mechanic by.  Welcome to view the car in person before bidding/buying.  Test drives offered with cash/cashiers check in hand.

Immediate $500 pay pal deposit due upon winning bid.  I will work with shippers.  If no bids are received during listing, I reserve right to end the listing early since I will be offering it locally to some club members and co-workers.  I also have an offer from a local dealer on taking a vehicle plus cash from him, which I might entertain.

All the cars of the monster Baillon Collection barn find are headed to auction [w/video]

Sat, Jan 10 2015

Automotive barn finds are exciting for the thrill and surprise of the hunt. Of course, you're far more likely to find a rusting Chevy under a tarp, but there's always that chance to scoop up a forgotten Porsche or Shelby for a song. That aspect makes the massive Roger Baillon Collection so bittersweet. There were so many great classics sitting under an open shed in France, but they were there so long that many of them became just bare husks. Ahead of the February 6 auction in Paris, auction house Artcurial has released descriptions and images of the entire 59-car hoard. While the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider and 1956 Maserati A6G 2000 Gran Sport Berlinetta Frua remain the stars, there are a few surprises among the bunch. The original announcement makes no mention of several modern Ferraris – at least compared to the rest of the collection – among the lots. They include a thoroughly beat 1982 308 GTSi without headlights and portions of the paint gone. There's also a 1988 Mondial Cabriolet that looks good on the outside, but Artcurial says needs a mechanical overhaul. A rather attractive gray 1978 400 GT is in similar condition. Scroll through the gallery above for the names and price estimates for all of the vehicles in the collection. If there's one you're particularly interested in there are even more photos and full descriptions in Artcurial's auction catalog. Also check out the video below to see what some of these classics looked like before they were hauled out of Baillon's lean-to after years of sitting in decrepitude. Father's ultra-rare Ferrari to leave family for a good cause

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

It isn't every day that the rarest of Ferrari models change hands. In fact, you can count your fingers to get the number of 275 GTB/4*S N.A.R.T. Spyders that ever existed. The 1967 Ferrari you see here is one of those ten Spyders, and it has stayed in the same family since it was bought new.
The car was bought through Luigi Chinetti, Ferrari's US importer at the time, by the late Eddie Smith Sr., a Ferrari collector and businessman from North Carolina. Smith kept it - and kept driving it - until the day he died six years ago. Since then, this remarkable machine has been collecting dust. Smith's son, Eddie Smith Jr., spent some time with Petrolicious to give a history of the car and explain why he and his family are going to do the one thing his father never could: sell it. The catch? All of the money it earns on the auction block will be donated to charity.
"It'll be a bittersweet thing, because we know the fact that all the money is going to charities that he would approve of," Smith Jr. said about his father, and it "will really make him smile, because he loved to give back."

Ferrari raises $893M, valued at $12B

Wed, Oct 21 2015

Ferrari's stock is moving as quickly on the New York Stock Exchange as the brand's iconic sports cars do on the road. The company's incredibly popular initial public offering has already raised $893.1 million by virtue of 17.18 million shares sold for $52 apiece. If the deal's underwriters buy in as well, the figure would grow to $982.4 million. Plus, even after shouldering some of FCA's debt, the automaker carries an enterprise value of $12 billion, Bloomberg reports. Just as the company starts trading on the New York Stock Exchange, the share price is already racing upward, too. As of this writing, Ferrari stock, which is listed under the symbol RACE, is priced at $57.59. At its high so far today, the value reached as high as $60.95. While Ferrari is looking strong, the big winner in this success looks to be FCA because the company should raise $4 billion in the spin-off, according to Bloomberg. With nine percent of the sports car maker on the NYSE and one percent for the underwriters, another 80 percent will be distributed to FCA investors in 2016. When that's through, Exor, the holding company for the Agnelli/Elkann family, should have the largest stake at about 30 percent. Piero Ferrari holds the remaining 10 percent and has no intention to sell it. Related Video: FCA Announces Pricing of Initial Public Offering of Ferrari N.V. Common Shares Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (NYSE: FCAU/MI: FCA) ("FCA") and its subsidiary Ferrari N.V. ("Ferrari") announce today the pricing of Ferrari's initial public offering of 17,175,000 common shares at an offering price of $52 per share for a total offering size of $893.1 million ($982.4 million if the underwriters exercise the option described below in full). The shares are expected to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, under the symbol "RACE", and closing of the offering is expected to occur on October 26, 2015. In addition, the underwriters have a 30-day option to purchase an aggregate of up to 1,717,150 common shares of Ferrari from FCA. The offering is intended to be part of a series of transactions to separate Ferrari from FCA. Following completion of this offering, FCA expects to distribute its remaining ownership interest in Ferrari to FCA shareholders at the beginning of 2016. UBS Investment Bank is acting as Global Coordinator for the offering.
