Chris Harris reviews his personal, two-year-old Ferrari FF [w/video]

Here's the kind of take you don't get too often. In fact, it hardly ever happens. Fan favorite Chris Harris has wanted a Ferrari FF since he saw it for the first time, but he couldn't get his bank account to comply with his desires. So he waited a couple of years for the price to come down, and found a specimen he could talk himself - and Ferrari Finance - into: a 2012 in Tour de France Blue with tan leather and 6,000 miles for the 'What, me worry?" price of 160,000 pounds ($249K US). Harris said that after putting 45,000 pounds down, his monthly payment is 1,400 ($2,177 US) pounds per month. He also said, "Sometimes you just have to do stupid things because you want to do stupid things." Five months in, Harris has no regrets, and in the beginning of the review he gets to one of the primary points that makes us fall in love with cars that can never be exploited on public roads: They make you feel equal parts badass and beastly and baronial at every speed. Or as Harris puts it, it's a "frankly ridiculous motorcar." In the best way. Check out his always-compelling take in the video. Dubai police add Ferrari FF to keep Lambo company

Supercars are a sulky lot by nature. Leave them to their own devices and they'll quickly grow despondent. That's why so many owners have more than one exotic in the stable. The Dubai Police seem to have caught on to that fact, having just added a Ferrari FF to help keep the force's new Lamborghini Aventador company. The duo will patrol the city's more affluent regions to promote the area's image as a mecca for money.
Mission: accomplished.
Of course, the Dubai PD certainly isn't the first law enforcement agency to adopt flashy cruisers, and car gods willing, it won't be the last. There was the Nissan GT-R gussied up for police duty, as well as the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 and the Mitsubishi Evo X, but we have to say the DPD certainly has the most lust-worthy stable at the moment.

Xcar goes analog with the Ferrari F40

We will forever be in love with the Ferrari F40. From its blunt-force appearance to its 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine living and breathing perilously close to the driver's head, the F40, the last model designed and built with input from Enzo Ferrari himself, has been and likely always will be the Ferrari of Ferraris for automotive enthusiasts who grew up in the 1980s.
All of this raises an interesting question: is the Ferrari F40 the best supercar of all time? A case can certainly be made, and after watching - and, just as importantly, listening to - all 17 minutes of blood-red Italian glory from Xcar, you're going to have to try long and hard to convince us that anything could be sweeter than this particular Prancing Horse.
