2007 599 GTB Fiorano F1 Grigio Silverstone Exterior/ Bordeaux Interior only 2,500 actual miles: Original MSRP was 338,777 which did not include over 30K in upgrades I have added. It has 17+ Factory options which I will list below..
In April of 2011 I had a FULL service completed at an authorized Ferrari dealership which included:
Complete fluid change( Oil+ filter,anti-freeze,differential,F-1 trans,Brake fluid.,Power steering,air and interior filters) .cost=$1,137.00
In April 2011 I had my Ferrari dealer install the handling portion of the HGTE kit installed.. The kit consists of the following:
A) Stiffer front and rear springs.B) stiffer rear sway bar. C) New recalibrated ECU for shocks. D) HGTE rims: The front wheels are a half-inch wider than on the standard 599 GTB but keep the same 245/45ZR20 tire size. The rear wheels and 305/35ZR20 tire size remain the same as on the standard model. Tire compound is 12-15% stickier. Together, a half-degree more of negative camber and a stickier compound for the Pirelli P Zero tires increases front cornering grip. To maintain handling balance with the added front-wheel grip, Ferrari increased the rear suspension antiroll bar diameter to 24.5 mm. Five-spoke 20-inch modular wheels reduce unsprung weight by 11 pounds. cost = $20 ,000.00+
I also had my dealer install skid plates to protect from front valance scrapes as the car is lowered slightly with the kit. The secondary cats were removed and replaced with Fabspeed straight pipes so now it sounds like a V-12 Ferrari should,lol...There is NO drone and they are not obnoxiously loud.cost=$2,700.00
Other additions:
Custom floormats= $400.00
I had the mirrors, exterior door handles and interior vent rings all done with a carbon fiber overlay by MaCarbon. They look beautiful(see the pics)and Ferrari CF centercaps on the wheels total cost = $5,000.00+
I had the spokes of the HGTE wheels painted the same color as the car Grigio Silverstone at a cost of over $800.00.
I have every and all parts removed except for the carbon parts which are my original parts.Original wheels(Pentastar) and tires have only 1.5K miles on them.ALL parts replaced by the FERRARI HGTE package included.

Ferrari recalls 458 Italia because its trunk is a dangerous place to stow kids
Tue, 23 Sep 2014Ferrari is recalling 3,000 458 Italia and Spider models and, believe it or not, it's not because they may catch fire. Nope, instead, the issue focuses on anyone that's unfortunate enough to become trapped in the Ferrari's perilously small frunk (front-mounted trunk).
Apparently, should someone find themselves trapped in the car's nose, the interior release handle only lets loose one of frunk's latches. That means that while anyone held captive by the V8-powered supercar won't be in danger of suffocating and will still be able to call for help, the cars are still ultimately in violation of federal safety mandates.
According to Uncle Sam, should someone become trapped in a trunk, like a child, they must be able to open the trunk from the inside and escape. That can't happen in the 458.
Autoblog's ultimate holiday rides
Tue, Dec 16 2014Over the hills and through the woods, it's the time of year when many of us visit family and friends for the holidays. But getting there can be a chore. It's cold and snowy across much of the United States, and even if the climate is favorable, the drive to grandmother's house often is not. Think back to holiday road trips of yore: They probably included crying babies, antsy children, hungover adults and frequent bathrooms stops all around. Now, we're all at different life stages here at Autoblog, and the perfect car for one staffer might be as useful as a team of Budweiser Clydesdales to another. Some of us bounce from family event to family event with children and a labrador in tow, while others prefer a quieter, simpler holiday. But whatever the endeavor, we all need wheels. With that in mind, here is the unofficial Autoblog list of the ultimate cars in which to tackle the holiday season. 2015 Ferrari FF To borrow a chestnut from Top Gear presenter James May, "As you'd expect, I've done this properly." That oddly voluptuous ruby bolide in the photo above? It's a 2015 Ferrari FF – all 652 all-wheel-driven horsepower of it. What makes a Ferrari the ideal for holiday time in PaukertLand? My Midwestern winter breaks are wonderful, but they're typically frenetic and slushy, involving a lot of schlepping from house to house and even city to city, not to mention inevitable last-minute runs for forgotten presents and dinner ingredients. Needless to say, a powerful V12 is a welcome ally for such duties. And this one isn't just a friend when the road is clear. The FF has been gifted Ferrari's novel 4RM AWD system, and despite sitting lower to the ground than, say, an SUV, it's a pretty effective tool for real winter driving, especially when outfitted with a set of snow tires. Unlike other Ferraris, it's also a rather practical thing, with legitimate seating for four adults and 15.9 cubic feet of cargo space – that's precisely as much room as a Mercedes E-Class – and you can fold the rear chairs and cram 28.2 cubes-worth of holiday cheer in the back. Okay, so it's far from cheap and fuel economy isn't that great, but who cares? Just drop a paddle-shifted gear or two, bury the throttle and Repeat The Sounding Joy. Ain't the holidays grand? – Chris Paukert Executive Editor 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe My Mom gives out more presents than any other human being I've ever encountered.
McLaren, Red Bull and Ferrari call for unfreezing F1 engines
Mon, Dec 29 2014Formula One is a hugely expensive sport. Not only do you have enormous salaries and logistical expenses, as you would in any other sport, but each team also spends huge sums developing their own chassis from the ground up – and so too do the participating automakers in developing the engines. One of the ways the series organizers mitigate those costs is by freezing development. So once the new crop of V6 turbo hybrid powertrains were developed, that was it. But now three of the of the sport's leading teams are calling on the FIA to unfreeze engine development. Their reason? Unfair advantage. There's little question that Mercedes did the best job of developing its "power unit" to meet the new regulations that took effect at the beginning of this past season. That's how the Mercedes team won all but three of the grands prix this season and finished with at least one car on the podium at every single race. It's also a big part of how the teams that bought their engines from Mercedes this season managed to consistently outperform the other non-works-supported teams. That clear advantage is why Red Bull, Ferrari and now McLaren are calling for engine development to be unfrozen. Their argument is that, under the current locked-down status quo, their engine suppliers (Renault, Ferrari and Honda, respectively) cannot possibly catch up. So unless the FIA and Formula One Management want the next few seasons to be the kind of absolute blow-outs that this past season was, these leading teams argue, the powers that be are going to have to make some changes. For its part, Mercedes naturally counters that unfreezing engine development would send costs spiraling out of control. But then of course it stands to lose the most by re-opening engine development. If those three teams, however, closely intertwined as they are with the three other engine suppliers participating in next year's championship, manage to solicit enough support from the other customer teams and bring the matter to a vote, Mercedes may very well find itself out-numbered.
