Ferrari makes its return to Need For Speed: Rivals in a big way

With all the excitement over Forza Motorsport 5 and Gran Turismo 6, it's easy to forget that there's another racing game from an even older franchise coming out. The latest Need For Speed installment, Rivals, is set to hit stores November 15 (this Friday) for the Playstation 4, November 19 for PS3 and XBox 360, and November 22 for the XBox One. As part of the run up to the launch, we have a great look at all the new Ferrari content for the new title, which marks only the second time the Italian marque has been in an NFS game.
The last time we saw a prancing horse in Need For Speed was 2009's Shift, when we got ten models as part of a paid, downloadable pack. In anticipation of Ferrari's return to the series, we've got a gallery of images of some of the featured models, like the F12 Berlinetta (which we've shown you before), the FF, the Enzo, the 599 GTO and both the 458 Italia and Spider. All of which are bound to make for phenomenal tools for escaping the virtual cops.

Chris Harris reviews his personal, two-year-old Ferrari FF [w/video]

Here's the kind of take you don't get too often. In fact, it hardly ever happens. Fan favorite Chris Harris has wanted a Ferrari FF since he saw it for the first time, but he couldn't get his bank account to comply with his desires. So he waited a couple of years for the price to come down, and found a specimen he could talk himself - and Ferrari Finance - into: a 2012 in Tour de France Blue with tan leather and 6,000 miles for the 'What, me worry?" price of 160,000 pounds ($249K US). Harris said that after putting 45,000 pounds down, his monthly payment is 1,400 ($2,177 US) pounds per month. He also said, "Sometimes you just have to do stupid things because you want to do stupid things." Five months in, Harris has no regrets, and in the beginning of the review he gets to one of the primary points that makes us fall in love with cars that can never be exploited on public roads: They make you feel equal parts badass and beastly and baronial at every speed. Or as Harris puts it, it's a "frankly ridiculous motorcar." In the best way. Check out his always-compelling take in the video. CA man accused of stealing same Ferrari twice

Cars get stolen all the time. It's an unfortunate reality, but a reality nonetheless. It's just unusual when the same guy steals the same car twice, but that's what apparently occurred recently in Fontana, CA.
That's where one Earnie Hooks was arrested late last month driving a black Ferrari 458 Spider. According to police, Hooks was intoxicated when he arrived at a roadside checkpoint, and when they ran the plates, they found the car was reported as stolen.
Hooks managed to evade police (not too hard to imagine given the car he was driving) and later abandoned the car, which was taken to the impound. Around 3 am the next morning, though, someone broke into the impound and stole the car... again. Hooks was found five days later in Studio City, still driving the stolen Ferrari. He was arrested and somehow still had the gall to plead not guilty to the charges of car theft and resisting arrest.
