All the cars of the monster Baillon Collection barn find are headed to auction [w/video]

Automotive barn finds are exciting for the thrill and surprise of the hunt. Of course, you're far more likely to find a rusting Chevy under a tarp, but there's always that chance to scoop up a forgotten Porsche or Shelby for a song. That aspect makes the massive Roger Baillon Collection so bittersweet. There were so many great classics sitting under an open shed in France, but they were there so long that many of them became just bare husks. Ahead of the February 6 auction in Paris, auction house Artcurial has released descriptions and images of the entire 59-car hoard. While the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider and 1956 Maserati A6G 2000 Gran Sport Berlinetta Frua remain the stars, there are a few surprises among the bunch. The original announcement makes no mention of several modern Ferraris – at least compared to the rest of the collection – among the lots. They include a thoroughly beat 1982 308 GTSi without headlights and portions of the paint gone. There's also a 1988 Mondial Cabriolet that looks good on the outside, but Artcurial says needs a mechanical overhaul. A rather attractive gray 1978 400 GT is in similar condition. Watch this Ferrari 288 GTO get a top-flight detailing job

Detailing was once the last thing we had any interest in doing, and if such a thing were possible we had even less interest in watching someone else detail some other car. We don't feel that way anymore, fascinated by the minutiae uncovered in while watching Todd Cooperider and Polished Bliss detail some examples of Prancing Horses.
Next up on the detailing honor roll is Larry Kosilla of Ammo NYC. Company founder Kosilla said he has wanted to be the best detailer on Earth ever since he was a kid, and his company makes products to serve detailers with that kind of passion. Now, we can watch him put his knowledge and elbow grease to work on a Ferrari 288 GTO.
The biggest issue with the eighties wondercoupe is that it is made of three different materials, each of which will cause the same coat of paint to react differently to the same products according to Kosilla. There's also the fact that he's working in what appears to be a rather poorly lit garage, but by the time he gets to the end of the two-day job it's clear he knows exactly what he's doing. Ferrari celebrates Singapore's independence with special F12

Singapore is marking 50 years of independence this year, and Ferrari is celebrating the occasion with a one-off F12 Berlinetta. The SG50 edition was ordered from the Tailor Made program by Ital Auto, the official Ferrari importer for the Southeast Asian metropolis. The model is distinguished by a special red and white livery that mirrors the colors of the Scuderia and the country's flag. The bodywork is done up in a custom shade of metallic red called (appropriately enough) Rosso Singapore. It's offset by Bianco Italia racing stripes, wheels, wing mirrors, and aero appendages, including the front spoiler, side sills, and rear diffuser. The treatment continues inside the two-seat cockpit with a mix of black leather and technical fabrics, offset by red and white accents and a Singaporean lion emblem on the headrests. The words "Singapore 50th Anniversary Edition 1/1" adorn the sill plate and lower rim of the steering wheel. Of course most of us will never see this particular F12 up close. But until Maranello takes the wraps off the anticipated enhancements for the Berlinetta, this gives us an idea of the possibilities available to buyers of the 12-cylinder super-GT. Related Video:
