Ferrari stock sale pegged for October, or later

The Ferrari IPO is still coming, but it won't be before Columbus Day (Monday, October 12, that is), according to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne. The outspoken exec is blaming tax reasons for the fourth-quarter date, according to a report from Reuters. Marchionne said a full year needed to pass between FCA's October 13, 2014 Wall Street debut and any additional listing. This isn't the first delay in the Ferrari IPO. FCA was originally supposed to make a 10-percent offering of Ferrari during second or third quarter of 2015, before officially pushing things back to the third quarter of this year. Now, it's unclear if Ferrari will even go public before the dawn of 2016. All the crazy stuff we saw at McCall's Motorworks Revival

Every year, Gordon McCall puts on a lavish event packed with rare cars and planes (and the type of people that can afford rare cars and planes). And every year, more ridiculous stuff shows up. It's the good kind of machine overload. It's likely the only place in the world where you'll see a line of BMW 3.0s next to some Paganis next to a Porsche 911 by Singer Design next to a Ferrari salt racer next to a custom Olds Riviera next to the latest from Koenigsegg next to he coolest stuff Shelby ever made next to a hangar filled with McLarens, including a few P1 GTRs. And then all of that is surrounded by private jets, fighters, and planes that could have flown in directly from WWII. In a word, it's insane. Take a video tour of the Ferrari F12 TdF's V12 engine

Ferrari's transformation of the F12 Berlinetta from a handsome GT into a road-devouring monster – the F12 TdF – seems impressive. To make sure the engine has a wail to match the threatening exterior, the Italians massaged the 6.3-liter V12 up to 769 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque. It now redlines at a screaming 8,900 rpm, and propels the coupe to 62 miles per hour in just 2.9 seconds. This new video takes viewers inside the upgraded mill to illustrate how these improvements were made. Among the host of changes, the intake receives variable-geometry intake trumpets.
