2005 Ferrari F430 F-1 2-door Coupe on 2040-cars

Up for sale is my F430. I've owned the car for 3 years and have maintained it with open check book, just like its previous owner who is my friend. I've known this car since almost brand new. The car features a beautiful Grigio Titano exterior and a black interior. It has all the features you'd expect from an F430, including the F-1 shifter, power steering, brakes, seats and mirrors. The car was never raced or 0-60'd which is important as it is usually the case with younger drivers and causes real damage in the long run. This car was always driven the proper way, which includes setting the tranny to neutral waiting for a green light or in traffic. Most recent services done on the car are: In Oct of 2012 the car got minor service including changing the front brakes and rotors. In Jan of 2013 the car got its last major service, including a brand new clutch. (over $10K) All service is documented and was performed at Ferrari of Ft. Lauderdale. The stereo in the car was upgraded to include Navigation and Bluetooth (sliding monitor with touch screen), The work was performed by a professional shop recommended by the Ferrari dealer and all cable work was done while keeping the original plugs in the event you want to go back to the Ferrari stereo which btw is included with the car. Also included are the original Ferrari toolbox and the Ferrari electric air pump as well as two (2) covers: the original red Ferrari cover and an additional custom cover made of thicker material that I put over the red cover to prevent door dings, etc. There is a minor blemish to the carfax, on 05/20/2012 my neighbor didn't see my car getting out the garage and backed into me. The damage was extremely minor as it was at parking lot speed. The rear bumper of his SUV hit my driver side fender and caused a 5" ding in the fender and scratched the front left light. The repair was done by Executive Autobody and all parts were replaced (not repaired) by original Ferrari parts: left front fender and front light. Then the fender was painted and blend was performed on the hood and bumper. That's all there was to it and none of the chassis, wheel or anything beyond the skin was harmed or touch in this accident, so technically this car is accident free with a tiny blemish on car fax. All information is available to the buyer. Current condition of the car is that it's missing the right tow hook cover on the front bumper (its a small 2x2 cap) that someone had stolen while parked, it has a bubble on the right front tire which needs to be replaced and there is a hairline crack on the inner front bumper air intake (the black area). I spoke to Executive Autobody and they told me that they can do the repair for approx. $500, the front tire is about $380 so consider that the car needs $880 to be perfectly mint. This is an excellent car and runs and drives 100%. I am selling it to the highest and best. If you want to get more pictures or the carfax please contact me. Ferrari 250 TR recreation channels the spirit of Fangio
Thu, Jul 16 2015Peter Giacobbi grew up watching the likes of Juan Manuel Fangio and Phil Hill race cars like the Ferrari 250 TRs when he was a kid. Once he grew up – or at least grew older – he knew he had to have one to call his own. The trouble is that original Testa Rossas sell for tens of millions these days, and as accomplished as he may have been in his life and career, Giacobbi didn't have that kind of money to spend on a car. So he did the next best thing and built one of his own. Fortunately Giacobbi had some experience building exotic sports cars. He formed half of the duo that created the Sinthesis 2000, a one-off concept that he and designer Tom Tjaarda unveiled at the 1970 Turin Motor Show. And that project ended up serving as his interview for the job of chief engineer for DeLorean. So when he set to building his own Testa Rossa, he knew how to go about it. His recreation may not be 100 percent authentic, but then it's not entirely fake, either. The bodywork is genuine, as are many of the parts. The rest he faithfully reproduced or had made specially. The result, as you can see, is quite stunning – especially left bare in its hand-beaten aluminum form. Ferrari LaFerrari XX confirmed, seen lapping the 'Ring?
Thu, 17 Apr 2014Ferrari makes road cars and they make race cars, but the automaker found a middle ground somewhere in between when it launched the FXX in 2005. Homologated neither for race or street, the FXX emerged as Maranello's first customer development prototype, "allowing" well-heeled clients to test new components for the factory from behind the wheel of one of the most extreme performance machines Ferrari had ever made.
The FXX was based on the Enzo, and was succeeded by the Fiorano-based 599XX. Given the apparent success of the program, we knew it would only be a matter of time before Ferrari would roll out the next XX prototype. But what would it be based on? The Enzo-succeeding LaFerrari? The F12 Berlinetta that replaced the 599 GTB Fiorano? Or another model entirely, like the 458 Italia, FF or California?
Well now we appear to have our answer. Speaking during the Ferrari Racing Days (an extravaganza of cavallinos prancing around a different racetrack each year, held recently in Sydney), Antonello Coletta confirmed that development is underway on a LaFerrari XX. And he ought to know, seeing as how he's the head of the company's new Sporting Activity Department that overseas all of Ferrari's on-track activities - including the XX program. The news was confirmed by Ferrari in correspondence with Autoblog. Oh, and perhaps because of the spy photos you see above, which were shot recently at the famed Nürburgring track, showing an unpainted LaFerrari of some sort making fast laps and testing various tire options.
Bertone's shark-nose Ferrari 250 set to break records
Thu, Jul 23 2015If Nuccio Bertone had one regret, it's that he didn't get to work more with Ferrari. "They have always been with Pininfarina," Bertone was quoted as saying toward the end of his career. "I would have liked to have done more for Ferrari." There were a few exceptions, like the atypical Dino GT4, the angular Rainbow concept of 1976, and the unique 250 GT you see here. Only this one wasn't just designed and crafted by Bertone – it was designed and crafted for Bertone. And now it's going up for auction. Inspired by the 156 Grand Prix racer, this one-of-a-kind 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta was commissioned by Bertone to showcase its capabilities at the Geneva and Turin motor shows that year, and to serve as Nuccio's personal wheels. The design was carried out by none other than Giorgetto Giugiaro, in close collaboration with Bertone, and is characterized by the shark nose that would look right at home on a week-long Discovery Channel special... if it were directed by Roberto Rossellini. It's painted in Blu Notte Metallizzato (Italian for "midnight blue metallic") with a rich burgundy leather interior. The only one of its kind, chassis 3269 GT has been part of the Lorenzo Zambrano collection for over three decades now. It's slated to cross the auction block for the first time next month at Pebble Beach. That's where Gooding & Company expects it will fetch around $15 million, which would (according to the archives at Sports Car Market) make it one of the most expensive Ferraris, and by some margin the highest-priced 250 GT SWB Berlinetta, ever sold at auction. 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Speciale (Estimate $14,000,000-$16,000,000) Any coachbuilt Ferrari will stir excitement on the auction block, but 3269 GT is quite possibly the most important 250 GT SWB ever to be presented at public auction. Built for and personally owned by Nuccio Bertone to showcase his company at the Geneva and Torino Auto Shows in 1962, this one-off "sharknose" Berlinetta Speciale Ferrari is sure to electrify the Pebble Beach Auctions when Gooding & Company presents this Italian masterpiece in August. This unique Ferrari was one of the first cars penned by the well-known stylist, Giorgetto Giugiaro, while working for Nuccio Bertone. The two worked together to create one of the most viscerally moving designs in Ferrari's history, which was inspired by the world championship-winning Grand Prix car - the Ferrari 156 F1.
