2001 Ferrari 360 Spider
Pristine example, locally owned, FULLY serviced and all documentation included. Excellent condition with low miles and the 6-speed manual. If you're in the market for a fantastic Ferrari, this is the one!

The Toy Barn is pleased to offer another fantastic Ferrari, this 2001 360 Spider finished in Silver over Gray leather with only 15k miles. This example is in beautiful condition and has the proper gearbox, proper pedigree, and is fully serviced, ready for it's new owner. We just took this 360 in on trade here at our facility from a local owner and client of ours, towards a new Mercedes SLS convertible. The previous owner kept this vehicle excellent both mechanically and physically, and it certainly shows when you see and drive this car.

Condition: As mentioned, this car is beautiful. The paint shows beautifully, and the car has a clean Carfax report as shown in the link provided below. This 360 has the look of a 430 since it has the 430 wheels, and it also has the factory Scuderia Shields and rear challenge grille. The upgraded 430 wheels are excellent and nearly damage free (one small scuff on the passenger front wheel easily repairable), and the tires have plenty of tread remaining. Overall, the exterior of this 360 is a solid 9.5 out of 10. I'd be happy to walk the car over the phone for you to tell you exactly what I see. On the inside, the interior is excellent as well. The Grey leather looks great, and it has full leather and the leather rear shelf, as well as the sought after power Daytona seats. Everything works as it should, and the interior is excellent. Call me and I'd be happy to give additional details.

Conclusion and points to consider: This is a low-mile, VERY well kept, 6-speed manual Spider, with every service record kept, every book and manual, all of the keys and red key with the code, and all of the options you'd want; Scud shields, 430 Wheels, Challenge rear grille, Daytona Seats, Carbon Fiber air boxes, and MUCH more. Please call me with any questions you may have.

This Spider has the following included with the sale:
All books and manuals
Both Keys and 3 Remotes
Full records and owner history
Car Cover
Tools and carry case

Ferrari Classiche brings priceless crashed 250 GTO back to life [w/video]

Wed, Dec 3 2014

When a car is worth millions of dollars, you don't simply write it off when it's damaged – you have it painstakingly repaired. But when that car's worth tens of millions, there's hardly any expense to be spared in its restoration. So after a rare Ferrari 250 GTO crashed a couple of years ago during a special event, its owner (presumably at the behest of his insurance company) sent the damaged specimen back to the factory for a full restoration to its original condition. The Ferrari in question, GTO No. 3445, is owned by American collector Christopher Cox, who was driving it during a special tour in France organized for the legendary sports racer's 50th anniversary when he collided with another car – fortunately not another one of the GTOs on the road – inflicting significant damage on the highly coveted collector's item. That was two-and-a-half years ago, and shortly after the accident, Cox entrusted it to the Ferrari Classiche division, which is responsible for restoring classic Prancing Horses and certifying their authenticity. Now the repairs and restoration are complete, right down to the Swedish blue and yellow livery it was originally give in April 1963 by Ulf Norinder and the number 112 he gave it for the 1964 Targa Florio. Spending over two years restoring a single automobile may seem like overkill to most, but considering the $52 million said to have been paid the last time a GTO traded hands, and the $30 million spent on the one before that, suddenly two years doesn't seem like that long after all. Watch the reconditioned car undergoing its final, post-restoration shakedown around the Fiorano circuit in the video below. This content is hosted by a third party. Lady in Blue A stunning 250 GTO is restored by the Classiche department Maranello, 28 November 2014 – One of the stars of the tracks of the 1960s was a Ferrari 250 GTO which has just emerged from a two-year-plus renovation at the Ferrari Classiche department, ready to return to its owner in America. During its stay in Maranello, the car was restored to the original engine and bodywork configuration in which it was delivered to Bologna-based publisher Luciano Conti in 1962. The latter also drove it in its maiden race, the Bologna-Passo della Raticosa. The Volpi era. In June 1962, however, Chassis no. 3445 was sold to Count Giovanni Volpi di Misurata, a passionate racing driver, who competed under the S.S.S.

Ferrari boss Montezemolo expects big changes from FIA

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

You'd think that with former Ferrari principal Jean Todt running the FIA, the relationship between the motorsport governing body and the team he once called home would be a solid one. But his former boss expects more from the organization that overseas Formula One.
In a recent interview (excerpts from which you can read below), Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo pointed to some perceived inconsistencies in rulings made by FIA officials this season and called for "strong changes." Among those controversies was a drive-through penalty handed to Felipe Massa at the season-closing Brazilian Grand Prix last weekend, his last for the Scuderia. Massa was reprimanded for cutting across the white line that marks the exit from the pit lane, the penalty for which dropped him from fourth place in the race to seventh, and cost Ferrari its second place in the final standings for the constructors' championship - and with it a good $10 million in prize money. Montezemolo characterized the penalty as "disproportionate and unjust".
The Ferrari chief also pointed to penalties handed to Mercedes as either too harsh or not harsh enough, calling for greater consistency in FIA rulings and implying that more permanent race stewards be appointed instead of alternating race to race.
