Touring Superleggera Berlinetta Lusso makes us swoon [w/video]

For the past three years, we've been fortunate enough to have the folks at Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera bring something very special to the Geneva Motor Show: the Alfa Romeo 8C-based Disco Volante. First, it showed up in red (twice), and then last year, arrived in a very stunning shade of green. If we're honest, we were kind of hoping there'd be a further evolution of the Disco on display at this year's show, but then Touring unveiled the beauty you see here. Meet the Ferrari F12-based Berlinetta Lusso. What we really like about the Berlinetta Lusso is how closely it resembles the F12 on which its based, but with some rough edges smoothed out. Despite looking similar, almost the entire body is new, with smoother creases and more retro-inspired design cues. Honestly, to our eyes, it looks better than the Prancing Horse's original. Mechanically, it's pretty much all F12 underneath, right down to the screaming 6.3-liter V12 with 703 horsepower. We certainly don't have any complaints about that. Colani's land speed record Ferrari for sale

Everyone knows that Ferraris are designed to go fast, but their performance is measured by a number of different metrics. This particular example, however, was designed with one goal in mind, and that was top speed. And now it's up for sale. The one-of-a-kind creation was the work of Professor Luigi Colani. The car started life as a Testarossa, but was extensively modified and entirely rebodied in order to pursue a high-speed run at the Bonneville Salt Flats. That meant an aerodynamically optimized body designed by Colani to dramatic and wind-cheating effect, and substantially reworked mechanicals as well. The flat-twelve engine was fitted by German firm Lotec with a pair of turbochargers to drive output beyond 750 horsepower. The 1989 Ferrari Testa D'Oro Colani - so named, we gather, for its gold cam cover - was clocked at 218 miles per hour back in 1991, winning its class at Bonneville and far outstripping the 201-mph top speed quoted by Ferrari for the F40 that was all the rage at the time. The vehicle has now been put up for sale by Purosangue Maranello, where (as you can see from the images in the gallery above) it sits alongside another one-off Ferrari: the four-door Pinin concept of 1980 (to say nothing of the Minardi F1 racer in the other corner). Race Recap: Canadian F1 Grand Prix is one story with a thousand dramas

There were rain and wind and sun, sometimes all at once. There was the Wall of Champions. There was nothing happening in first place and nothing happening back in sixth during the race, but everywhere else - from the time the weekend began - it was surprises, passes, spins, more passing, flying carbon fiber and finally a couple more last-minute surprises. The Canadian Formula One Grand Prix was a proper race for all the right reasons... well, except for the part where the crowd booed the winner.
