1988 Fiero - Gtp Ferrari 355 Spyder on 2040-cars
Streamwood, Illinois, United States
Completed in 2008 is my FERRARI F355 Berlinetta Kit Car Replica. This replica is titled as a 1988 Fiero GT, but is actual 75% 2002 Grand Prix GTP.
This replica has a John Watson kit, which is known as one of the best in the country. The cost of the kit is $8000.00. www.air-dynamics.ws (my F355 replica is the featured car on this website.) The replica features a flawless body and is painted with the real Ferrari yellow, which I believe called "Giallo Modena"(Paint and Labor Cost approximately $10,000). The replica comes equipped with automatic transmission, 3.8 supercharged motor that is modifed to give 280 HP (stock is 260hp). The GTP had 10K miles @ conversion, but console reads 22K. Replica has power steering, real Ferrari rims, real Ferrari exhaust system, real Ferrari emblems, real Ferrari front scoop, real Ferrari lights, real Ferrari windows, and more. If you know about replicas the true cost runs about 40-45K. Sorry I forget to state that everything works AC/Heat, speed OD, Radio, overhead projection, MPG display and more.
Car was titled as a Fiero for insurance reasons $300 a year $25,000 coverage. Financing Call Number Below J.J. BEST BANC & CO. Classic Car Financing Phone: 1-800-872-1965 Call ME @ 630-247-0801 |

Want to buy a worst-in-show-winning Faux Ferrari Fiero?
Mon, Aug 31 2020UPDATE: This heap sold for $5,001. But don't fret, there are more terrible cars out there for the taking if that's your thing. Today we bring you something truly terrible. It's not just a fake Ferrari built on the guts of an old Pontiac Fiero, it's actually the world's worst fake Ferrari built on the guts of an old Pontiac Fiero. And it's got the award from the Concours d'Lemons to prove it. It's so heinous, in fact, that it has somehow managed to become desirable, at least judging by the bidding history of this bright red affront to Maranello. Powered by a 140-horsepower 2.8-liter V6 engine (covered by an unconvincing and broken fake V12 cover) hooked to an automatic gearbox, this gloriously poor Prancing Horse won't be winning many stoplight drag races. There are bundles of stray wires hanging down from the dashboard, it has high mileage, most of its lights don't work, and it's ugly. Like, really ugly. And to top it off, this Fauxrarri can't currently be registered in its home state of California because it has failed its most recent smog test. Put simply, you're looking at a total piece of junk. But a piece of junk with internet notoriety, having been featured on an episode of Jay Leno's Garage after attending the 2019 Quail Motorsports Gathering — by mistake at first, and then earning a special place next to the porta potties — being the focus of a video series on YouTube and winning the aforementioned ribbon for Worst in Show at Lemons. Somehow, bidding has topped $4,000 at the time of this writing. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. These are two Ferrari design studies that led to the LaFerrari
Tue, 26 Mar 2013Ferrari apparently worked through nine design concepts for its LaFerrari supercar recently shown at the Geneva Motor Show, and has put two of them on display at its museum in Maranello, Italy. Both from 2011, the Manta (pictured) is harder edged and looks closest to the finished product.
The other, the Tensostruttura, is much more fluid and looks like it probably came from the past or the future, not so much the present. You can check them both out in the videos below and register your take on what might have been.
Leno drives Henry Ford II's all-original '52 Ferrari 212 Barchetta
Tue, 17 Jun 2014The story of the relationship between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari is absolutely fascinating. The two great men of the auto industry had what appeared to be a burgeoning friendship until Ferrari pulled out of a deal to sell his company to Ford in the '60s. The latest car featured in Jay Leno's Garage is a 1952 Ferrari 212 Barchetta that tells the very beginnings of that story.
This Prancing Horse was a gift to Ford from Enzo when the two companies were first thinking about merging, according to the curator of the Petersen Automotive Museum. Ferrari really wanted to show off its best so instead of the 212's normal V12, this car was fitted with the larger 2.7-liter unit from a Ferrari 225. The car has been almost unaltered since then. It still wears its original paint, and it's tires date back to 1954.
The great thing about the Petersen is that unlike a lot of auto museums, the people there actually drive the cars and keep them in working order. Once on the road with Leno behind the wheel, this Ferrari really sings. Unfortunately, he can't open it up too much because the 60-year-old tires really hold things back. Scroll down to watch this amazing piece of automotive history and learn it's possible effect on the styling of the original Ford Thunderbird.
