This my personal 348 titled in my name- owned for about 3 years. Great overall shape - real head turner at the Ferrari Club of New England concours event this summer. This car has been maintained since new and I have a binder of reciepts for it since new. 30,000 mile belt service done in 08 a mere 5000 miles or so ago. Oil changed about 600 miles ago at dealership. The car was having what I would guess was hot start problems. I was told it could be a sensor connection problem where you unhook a plug under the dash and put contact lube on it (I didn't do it) or you could replace the fuel pressure regulators which seemed to make sense so thats what I did about 50 miles ago and I havent had the problem since. New battery this summer and Kenwood CD player.
When I bought the car online a few years back I thought it was a perfect car and after shelling out around 40k I go it home and noticed a few flaws I wasn't told about. I would rather have all known issues spelled out for me so I'm going to list below what I know:
1) rear trunk shock/piston doesnt hold the engine lid open
2) Dr power window switch for the pass side door only works going down (a cheap fix)
3) heater blower has only worked on high since I have owned it- I never looked into it
4) there is a touch up on the rear bumber, a slight indentation at the bottom of the car in front of the rear tire, there is an old scratch down part of the side (can only see it at the right angle and maybe could be buffed- have not had anyone try), the front of the doors and QP's right in front of them have some slight damage with touch-up from the doors being opened to far (have not tried to blend but are hardly noticible- see pictures)
All of these things were there when I got the car and it still looks great but I figured I would be different then most ebay sellers and outline everything I know. Its a used car and things break so most of the issues it has a perfectly normal for a car of this age- its held up very nicely and has been reliable. The car runs great sounds awesome and is a real headturner. The fact it is a convertible makes it worth more and is great to drive at night with the top down. There is a top boot, the tool kit and the manuals and a ferrari car cover included as well. Ready for your local Ferrari Club event.
Its a used car so I am selling the car as is where is- shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Deposit of $300 due within 48 hours of auction close and full payment due within 7 days. I won't release the car or title until the full payment clears.
Sell to the contenential US only.
Please ask questions before bidding and secure funding and shipping estimates before bidding.

Qatari sheikh flees US after speeding Ferrari [w/video]
Mon, Sep 21 2015A prominent Qatari national has reportedly fled the United States after a video ostensibly showing his Ferrari racing through the streets of Beverly Hills went viral. Although the exact identity of the driver remains unclear, it is believed that the yellow LaFerrari was owned by Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Thani, a member of the ruling family of Qatar, the country's former interior minister and a well-known racing enthusiast. The video below, which has already attracted some 1.5 million views (but contains language that may not be safe for the workplace), shows the yellow hybrid hypercar racing with reckless abandon against a white Porsche 991 GT3 through the swanky Los Angeles neighborhood. The Ferrari is shown scraping its chin spoiler on the road before pulling back into the driveway (alongside a black Bugatti Veyron) with smoke billowing out its engine bay. Neither of the European exotics appear to show much regard for traffic laws, running stop signs as they speed through a residential area. The Ferrari appears to be wearing Qatari plates, while the Porsche does not appear to be carrying plates at all - just some racing decals on the doors and hood. According to reports, the Ferrari belongs to Sheikh Khalid, but the identities of the drivers behind the wheel of either car has not been ascertained. The Al-Thanis are known for their supercar collection, which is shipped around the world for the enjoyment of royal family members. Their signature teal and black exotics are a regular site around London. The Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed that, when approach by officials, the driver claimed diplomatic immunity – which the driver may not actually have. "It is against a federal law for someone to claim diplomatic immunity when they don't have it," said police chief Dominick Rivetti. The Ferrari was not, according to reports, registered with the State Department as belonging to a credentialed diplomat. Al-Thani has since reportedly fled the country, and taken his cars with him. This rare vintage Ferrari is not like the others
Sun, Nov 22 2015This particular Ferrari profiled by Petrolicious is attached to many of the vital names we've come to associate with the brand, like Dino, Scaglietti, Ascari, and Formula 1. What it doesn't have is the kind of engine we've come to associate with Maranello: at the front of that delicious bodywork is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 172 horsepower. The car is a 1955 Ferrari 500 Mondial Series II Scaglietti-bodied spider, its engine derived from the 2.0-liter engine used in the Ferrari 500 race car that Alberto Ascari used to win the F1 World Championship in 1952 and 1953. We can only wonder if any of today's cars will provide the same joy at being a barn find as this one did for its affable owner, retired US Navy Admiral Robert Phillips. He discovered it in the back of a dealership in 1960 - it had been sitting unused in Ohio and California for years - and almost walked away from it. He only bought it when he realized it had a four-pot engine. He paid two-thirds of his yearly salary at the time for it, the handsome sum of $2,225. In today's money that's about $18,000. Phillips says there are only three left with the original engines, so odds are that his car's value is exponentially more than the inflation-adjusted purchase price. One of them is going on the block with RM Auctions next month which looks a lot like this one, and they've listed it as "Price on Request." Phillips is our kind of owner, though - one who believes his car is meant to be driven, and who wants to pass it on to another driver when the time comes. His vehicle has quite the history, too, making its way to the Americas thanks to a call from the president of Venezuela to Enzo Ferrari. Check out the video for its beautiful story. Related Video:
Ferrari developing V-twin motorcycle engine?
Sat, 04 Oct 2014When we read reports that Ferrari had applied for a patent on a V-twin engine design, our first thought was to check the date: this says the first of October, right... not April? And so here we are, entertaining the notion that Ferrari could be developing a motorcycle engine.
The report comes from Autocar, which claims to have dug up the application to patent the design for an "internal combustion engine having two cylinders, which are arranged in a 'V' configuration." In other words, a motorcycle engine. The application reportedly goes on to describe a balancing shafts to reduce vibration. Our own research did not lead us to find the application in question, so we'll have to take it with a grain of salt for the moment. But supposing it's all on the up and up, and that Ferrari was actually developing a motorcycle engine. Would that be so out of the ordinary?
Well, yes and no. Parent company Fiat, which is taking increased direct control of Ferrari, is undoubtedly looking at rival Volkswagen and its recent acquisition of Ducati (putting it in close proximity to Lamborghini) and would be keen to get in on that action. However tenuous the relationship, Lotus has also recently authorized a motorcycle bearing its name. And of course automakers like BMW and Honda, with which Ferrari has competed on and off the race track, also make motorcycles.
