1990 Ferrari 348 Ts Targa Red/tan -- No Reserve on 2040-cars
1990 Ferrari 348TS TARGA Red/Tan Item Condition: Good condition although needs engine and transmission This auction is for my complete 1990 Ferrari 348 TS minus the engine and transmission. This car can be used as a project car or for parts. I have owned the car for over four years and the mileage displayed is 43K. Chassis/Suspension: Chassis #ZFFFG36A6L0087125. It brakes and steers good. The car is equipped with relatively new WP Ferrari Challenge shocks and springs. Exterior: The body is straight and the exterior red paint is in above average condition which still shines nice. No known accidents or body repairs. It has OEM glass with no rock chips. The Targa top also seals well. Interior: The carpets are in good condition. The tan leather seats have the usual wear and scuff marks. This car is also fitted with 355 door panels that are in good condition other than scuff marks. It has non-OEM window switches. Passenger side electronic shoulder belt mechanism doesn’t move. Powertrain: The engine, engine harness/electronics, transmission and clutch were professionally removed and are missing. I have sourced a reasonably priced transmission and clutch that is in excellent condition. The car does have the rear drive axles and wheel hubs, as well as the OEM muffler with exhaust tips. Electrical: There is no engine harness/electronics included with this vehicle. The chassis harness is included and the headlight and tail lights work as does the windshield wipers, and power windows. Missing Items: Engine, engine harness/electronics, transmission, clutch, rear plastic inner wheel wells, front trunk carpet insert, HVAC climate control display unit, rear center brake light, side Pininfarina emblems, and one wheel lug bolt. There may be one or two other smaller items missing, although I’m not sure what they would be. I have done my best to describe the car and any item that is missing. There is no warranty expressed or implied with the car. The car is sold as is and is available for local inspection. In line with normal ebay practices, please ask all questions and complete all inspections prior to the auction ending. Highest bidder must complete sale. If you don’t agree to these terms please don’t bid on my car. Bidders with less than 12 feed backs must contact me prior to bidding or their bids will be cancelled. A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours after the end of a successful listing. |

Jules Bianchi was supposed to replace Raikkonen at Ferrari
Mon, Jul 20 2015Formula One lost one of its budding talents when Jules Bianchi sadly succumbed to his injuries just days ago. But few knew just how promising his future looked prior to the crash that ultimately took his life. Luca di Montezemolo did, though. In a tribute written for Italy's Gazzetto dello Sport, the former Ferrari chairman revealed that Bianchi had been earmarked to eventually replace Kimi Raikkonen. "Jules Bianchi was one of us," wrote Montezemolo. "He was a member of the Ferrari family and was the racing driver we had chosen for the future, once the collaboration with Kimi Raikkonen came to an end." The news may come as something of a surprise, but doesn't come entirely out of left field. Bianchi had been part of the Ferrari Driver Academy development program. He rose up through the ranks of the feeder formulae largely with ART Grand Prix, the team run by Nicholas Todt, son of the former Ferrari chief and FIA president. He served as a test driver for the Scuderia in 2011, and scored his first and only F1 championship points driving a Ferrari-powered Marussia at the 2014 Monaco Grand Prix. He stood in for Kimi at Ferrari during a test session at Silverstone (where he was pictured above), but tragically crashed during the Japanese Grand Prix, and finally succumbing over this past weekend to the injuries he sustained in the collision nine months prior. Bianchi "would be the one driving for Ferrari after the experience in GP2 and after some fine performances in F1 and in some tests that had our technicians very impressed," wrote Montezemolo. "A bitter destiny has instead taken him away from us, leaving an indelible mark and a great pain inside us." Bianchi is scheduled to be interred on Tuesday in the French Riviera city of Nice, just down the coast from where he made his mark last year. And, in a touching tribute, the FIA has said it will retire the number 17 from the F1 World Championship. The tragic loss leaves Ferrari searching for another driver to replace Raikkonen. The Finnish driver won the championship for Maranello in 2007, was shown the door in 2010, returned to F1 with Lotus in 2012, but has struggled to find his form again. Last season he finished a lamentable twelfth, but has shown better form this season with a second-place finish in Bahrain to sit fifth in the standings. Now 35 years old, Kimi is one of the older drivers on the grid.
Two weeks and 2,000 miles in Ferrari's FF with Evo
Mon, 28 Jan 2013EVO's Harry Metcalfe had some questions about the day-to-day livability of the Ferrari FF. When he brought those questions up to Ferrari, they suggested he take one for a couple of weeks and try it out for, as he calls them, "mundane duties." The image above is Metcalfe pointing to the 660-horsepower, all-wheel drive FF parked in one of his fields because, since he lives on a farm, mucking about the green is part of his daily routine. "It could use more ground clearance," he says, "but that's an option on this car."
He does get it on the "tarmac" and he likes it even more there than in the mud. Except for the buttons on the steering wheel; he thinks learning to use them is like learning to play guitar. He has a lot more to say besides that, and you can watch him expound for all of 17 minutes in the video below.
Mansory La Revoluzione shows at least a little restraint
Wed, 11 Sep 2013Mansory has, yet again, taken a supercar and turned the dial up to 11. Or maybe 12 or 13. This time the base car is none other than the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, a V12-powered GT car. Compared to Mansory's previous Ferrari GT-based creation, the Rambo-inspired Stallone that had used both the 599 and 612 as its base, the new La Revoluzione is a welcome departure.
While the Revoluzione isn't what we'd call subtle, especially from the very front- and rear-most views, we appreciate the small amount of restraint Mansory showed when styling this deep red carbon fiber-bodied car, at least on the outside. As you can see in our image gallery above, the interior of this creation is quite loud and perhaps a little bit obnoxious.
We can't argue with the results seen underhood - claimed horsepower sits at over 1,200 from a twin-turbo 6.3-liter V12 engine. That many ponies pays the expected dividends in performance, with a 0-62 run of 2.9 seconds and a top speed listed at 230 miles per hour. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above.
