1990 Ferrari 348 Ts on 2040-cars
Dallas, Texas, United States
Up for sale is this beautiful 1990 Ferrari 348 TS in Rosso Corsa (racing red) with tan leather interior. This Ferrari has 50761 miles and has been maintained and serviced by Norwood of Dallas since I have owned it. I have documents dating prior before I purchased indicating a well kept vehicle being serviced through its life by various Ferrari dealerships. This car comes with original tool kit wrapped it original leather tool pouch. The catalytic converters have been deleted for sound quality but do come with the car. The catalytic converters are a simple bolt in procedure. The Simpson 5 point race harnesses were installed in the car prior to my ownership but original OEM seatbelts and tracks and motors do come with the car. Aftermarket Sony cd player has been installed as well as 6 disk cd changer in the front baggage compartment prior to my ownership. I have owned this car since July, 2010, I purchased from a reputable dealer who had oversaw the timing belt change and valve timing job. I purchased this car with only 47130 miles and since 2010 I have only put 3631 miles on this car, mostly highway and back country driving. Interstate battery installed in 2014 and been maintained with a battery tender. NO 1-4, 5-8 lights on, NO SLOW DOWN light on. Only light that comes on is of coarse the seatbelt light. Front lights pop right up and operate. Air conditioning blows cold for a car over 20 years old. These Ferraris do not have power steering! The power windows do function and do go up and down but not as fast as newer cars, this is to be expected with older Ferraris. Photos included show actual real time condition of car, notice that driver seat on bolster has started to fade from getting in and out of the vehicle. Overall this car is a top and defiantly turns heads and is a great enjoyment to own and drive. Serious buyers ONLY! Have any questions? Call Race 214-244-0998.

Ferrari testing 458 successor in the snow?
Thu, 03 Apr 2014It may not seem so long ago that Ferrari introduced the 458 Italia. But it's been on the market a solid 5 years since its launch in 2009, which makes it not only the oldest model in the company's lineup, but one of the oldest in its segment, the Lamborghini Huracan and McLaren 650S just having been launched in the past couple of months. So while a solitary Ferrari playing in the snow might otherwise seem like little more than an unlikely place for it to be, its chronology suggests the crew from Maranello could be up to something more.
The white 458 captured by our spy photographers in Northern Sweden appears to have something going on around its wheel arches. Aside from the panel gap that's taped up between the quarter panel and rear fender in front of the rear wheel arch, there appear to be some modifications around the front wheel arch. Just what they're for, we don't know, but their presence suggests something's up.
The test mule pictured here could be simply testing some new components, for whatever application, but if this is indeed a prototype for the 458's replacement, we'll probably start seeing more of these from here on in before the finished product comes around within the next couple of years - by which time the 458 will be a good seven years old, longer than the F430 or 360 Modena before it were on the market.
What new F12 has Ferrari got in store for Frankfurt?
Mon, Jul 27 2015Ferrari is widely expected to be preparing a new version of the F12 Berlinetta to unveil at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. Assuming the anticipation doesn't prove futile, the question at this point is what that new variant will look like. At present, we're looking at two possibilities. One prospect would see the Prancing Horse marque present an updated version of the F12 to replace the existing model – much like the 488 GTB is replacing the 458 Italia, the California T replaced the previous California, or (perhaps more poignantly) the 575M supplanted the 550 Maranello. Ferrari has, after all, undertaken a pattern of updating its core models half-way through their eight-year life-cycles. The F12 was introduced in 2012, so a refresh for 2016 would be right on schedule. The other possibility, as Autocar asserts (and as we reported last month), would be to introduce a more potent model to slot in above (and alongside) the current F12. That would follow the pattern established by its predecessor, which yielded the hardcore 599 GTO to slot in above the 599 GTB Fiorano. Those latter three letters would be a more likely choice for the performance-focused F12 than the Speciale name that Autocar proposes and which was already used on the ultimate version of the naturally aspirated 458. Either way, we'll likely be looking at more power and less weight. The F12's 6.3-liter V12 currently produces 730 horsepower, and speculation has placed the new version's output anywhere between 760 and 800 hp. In any event, output will likely be enough to steal bragging rights away from the Lamborghini Aventador SV and its 740 horses. Just what form the revised engine will take remains a big question mark, but don't expect it to go turbo like the aforementioned 488 GTB and California T. Ferrari is anticipated to keep forced induction for its eight-cylinder models, and go with a hybrid boost for the twelves. The enhanced F12, then, could adopt an electrically boosted V12 like the one found in LaFerrari, or it could continue on unassisted for another four years until the model line is replaced entirely. One way or another, we're less than two months until showtime, so we'll find out soon enough.
eBay Find of the Day: Your choice of new, unregistered mid-2000s supercars
Wed, 26 Dec 2012If you didn't quite find what you were hoping to see under the tree this year, maybe it's about time you buy yourself something nice. Something like an unregistered 2005 Porsche Carrera GT. The car has never been titled and has just 83 miles on the odometer. With one owner since new, the Carrera GT is likely to be as nice an example as you're likely to find outside of a museum. Porsche only built 340 of these machines back in 2005, and with a 610 horsepower V10 kicking at your spine, you can lap Santa's sleigh next year. Currently, the Carrera GT has a buy it now price of $457,325 with around six days left on the auction.
Not flashy enough for your tastes? Stroll on down to West Hollywood and you'll find a similarly untitled 2004 Ferrari Enzo up for grabs with a sticker of $1.8 million. Technically a Euro-spec car, the Enzo isn't legal to operate on US roads, but could be modified to satisfy Uncle Sam with a little effort. The seller calls this car the "last brand-new Enzo in existence" and with 175 miles on the clock, that may be a true statement. You can head over to eBay Motors for a closer look if you're feeling spendy.
