Rust Free, unmolested Mustang Cobra. I am the second owner of this car which I bought about 11 years ago. The car originally came from California to Utah in 2003 and I bought it with 13000 miles on it. I drove the car for two summers and then took a job in Japan that ended up lasting 8 years. The entire time the car had been in storage in Utah, it has never seen snow or salt and held up very well in storage. I had greased all the seams in the car prior to putting it in storage which you can see in some of the pictures. It roughly had 16,700 miles on it when I took it out of storage two months ago. I have had the clutch, brakes and all the fluids serviced by a Ford dealership in the last month and have put a new set of Michelin tires all the way around. While in storage I came back every year and changed the oil and ran the car for a few hours. To date the car has just over 18,000 original miles and has just made the trip from Utah to Colorado. The paint on the car is all original to the best of my knowledge, I did talk to the original owner who said the car had never been wrecked and I ran a car fax as well and it came back with no accidents. As nice as the car is please understand that it is not a perfect show car it does have some paint blemishes and a ding in the drivers fender that is hard to see but its there. The pictures of the car are current and had been taken 6 September 2014.
On the inside it has the black leather, power seats that are not perfect but are still supple and soft and are not ripped or cracked but does show some stress lines that you can see in the pictures. I conditioned the leather every year while in storage to keep them as nice as possible. The drive-line on the car is tight and smooth and has no leaks of any kind. Still feels like a new car...... This is a great car that I am only selling because it no longer fits my family as I now have 4 kids, but it would be a great candidate for restoration or just to enjoy as it is. Please be advised that I reserve the right to end the auction at any time as the car is for sale locally in Colorado as well and if the car sells through auction the winning bidder will be responsible for shipment arrangements and costs. This is a no reserve auction highest bid will take it if it does not sell locally first. |

Five awesome Lego car creations
Thu, 23 Oct 2014Lego cars are among our favorite toys. They're fun for play, and if built properly, great to display. With that in mind, we've crafted a list of some of the best creations we've seen. Some are on sale now, while others are merely the work of fanciful enthusiasts. There are even a couple that you definitely cannot buy (we'll explain).
Our choices are diverse, including everything from a diminutive 1969 Chevy Corvette to a fullsize Ferrari Formula One racecar. These are just five projects that caught our eye - there are many more out there - so if you don't see your favorite Lego car on the list (or if you have your own creation), please tell us about it, in Comments.
Ferrari IPO could come any day now
Sun, Jul 12 2015According to Bloomberg, Fiat Chrysler Automotive Sergio Marchionne told reporters at the Toronto Global Forum that the Ferrari IPO could come any day now. "We are days away from filing the prospectus," said Marchionne, who declined to confirm whether rumors of involvement from UBS Group AG, JPMorgan Chase & Co and Goldman Sachs Group were accurate. In addition to an expected filing in New York, Marchionne hinted that a secondary filing could take place in Milan, Italy. Although the FCA Chief Executive didn't offer any expected sum for Ferrari, he had previously suggested that an IPO for the iconic Italian brand could be worth $1 billion, ringing the registers to the tune of 10 percent of the company's $11 billion valuation. According to Bloomberg, that potential sum is significantly higher than its own internal figures indicate after taking a poll of analysts who we assume must know a heck of a lot more about such things than we do. Considering how close we apparently are to the actual filing, though, we probably won't have to wait long to find out. Another hot topic any time Sergio is the subject of reporter questioning is a potential merger with General Motors or another large, full-line automaker. It seems there aren't any new revelations to reveal on the consolidation front, though Marchionne told reporters there were no plans to mount a hostile takeover of GM or any "other, less optimal" partners. Tax The Rich returns with reckless driving in a Ferrari 288 GTO
Thu, 14 Nov 2013Tax The Rich, the YouTube channel that exists mainly to terrorize ultra-rare, ultra-expensive cars like the Jaguar XJ220, Ferrari Enzo and Rolls-Royce Phantom, has come out with its first video in two months, starring one of the rarest Ferraris of the past 40 years - the 288 GTO.
Now, by Tax The Rich standards, its treatment of the 288 is better than what the Enzo or the Rolls (especially) got in their videos. The most cringe-worthy parts are in the very beginning, before transitioning to actual roads (yes, we know the 288 was originally meant as a Group B rally car, but that makes zipping about on grass and dirt in a very rare Ferrari no less difficult to watch). After that, it's more of the stuff we wish collectors would do with their cars - drive. Seeing and hearing this 288 GTO at full clip is a thing of beauty, and something we wish were a far more regular occurrence.
Take a look below for the latest video from Tax The Rich.
