or chassis. The trim, gaskets, window glass and lenses are also in excellent condition. The cream leather on the
seats and door panels is in excellent condition, especially considering that it is now 31 years old! The dash
covering and headliner are in excellent condition, again, especially considering that it is now 31 years old! The
carpets have been protected by throw rugs and are also in excellent condition. The car had excellent drivability
and functioning of all systems and has been extremely well sorted before the current service and will be even
better when finished! It goes straight hands-off with no shimmy and brakes in a straight line. The engine bay is
nicely detailed and the under panels, belly pan and suspension are in good condition. The A/C is being recharged
and will blow cold. 328 GTS s/n 59649 is fitted with the Factory optional 7 x 16 front and 8 x 16 rear wheels with
a new set of 205/50/16 front and 225/50/16 rear Kumo tires.
The 328 succeeded the highly popular 308 for the 1986 model year and offered an increased displacement V-8 plus a
myriad of detail improvements throughout. The mid-engine 328 featured an upgraded 3.2-liter V-8 putting out 270
horsepower, thanks to a sophisticated Marelli electronic ignition system and the retained Bosch K-Jetronic fuel
injection. The styling was freshened with new seat patterns, new door handles and tidier and more modern treatment
to the front and rear bumpers both of which were painted in body color. The controls were significantly reworked as
well, with new switch gear and revised dashboard and door trims. Production of the 328 ended in the fall of 1989,
marking the end of the transverse mid-engine Ferraris, a line that began with the 246 Dino. As one of the last
Ferraris engineered and launched during Enzo Ferrari’s lifetime and as the last of the pre-computer Ferraris, the
328s are revered for their blend of usability and comparable reliability, as well as the comparative ease of
servicing, thanks to in-car engine service work and cam-belt replacements. Thanks to the 328’s low sweeping body
lines and the sounds of the well-proven, high-revving V-8 right behind your seat, every trip to dinner, Sunday
brunch or your local coffee shop is a great driving experience.
From new in Rosso Corsa FER 300/6 with cream leather, a black dash and black carpets. 328 GTS s/n 59649 now has
60,339 total original miles and will be delivered with a full major cam belt and 30,000 mile service and. All smog
is in place but thanks to today’s draconian smog rules 328 GTS s/n 59649 is probably NOT California legal.

Ferrari steering wheel may hold key to rocket F1 starts
Fri, Mar 25 2016Ferrari's brilliant getaways at the Australian Grand Prix were key to its early victory challenge – and could well be the result of a unique approach to new start restrictions that Giorgio Piola has uncovered. Although Mercedes locked out the front row of the grid in Melbourne, it was a sensational getaway from Sebastian Vettel that helped the German swoop into the lead by the first corner. As team boss Maurizio Arrivabene said: "The start was super. I have to say both of the drivers, they start like two rockets. After that they were able to take an advantage, and that was good for us." Such great starts from Ferrari are nothing new – just look at Hungary last year – but as Piola's exclusive drawing reveals, the team may well have taken things to an all-new level in ensuring it does not miss any detail in this area. In-built advantage As early as pre-season testing, rivals had been alerted about what Ferrari was capable of by monitoring data from Barcelona. Red Bull boss Christian Horner said: "We saw that in pre-season testing their starts have been really strong." Even ahead of the race, there were rumours that Ferrari knew it would excel in this area. Its decision to not do a second run in Melbourne's Q3 was mainly fuelled by its desire to save a set of super soft tyres for the race. But another suggestion also emerged – that the team knew just how good its starts were so securing the second row of the grid was good enough for it to believe it had a shout of the lead on the first lap. A single paddle As Piola's comparison of Ferrari's 2015 and 2016 steering wheel arrangement shows, the team has been the most aggressive in changing its clutch configuration for this year. New rules mean that drivers can only use a single hand on a single clutch paddle for the race start – even if teams choose to keep a double-paddle arrangement for emergencies. Ferrari has opted for something totally different to its main rivals by abandoning a double paddle arrangement (see red arrows on above left image). Instead, it has a single 'rocker' paddle that stretches all the way across the back of the wheel. Investing in such a dramatic design change clearly points to it having unlocked a decent performance advantage. The exact reasons for this configuration are unclear, but it may be that it allows the driver a greater feel for the clutch bite point – and means he is better able to judge how to deliver the perfect getaway.
What's the smarter investment, Ferrari stock or a Ferrari?
Sun, Jul 26 2015Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is gearing up to spin Ferrari off into its own company, and float some of its shares on the stock market. But buying and trading in Ferrari stock could face a rather unlikely competitor from within. As Bloomberg points out, the values held by classic Ferraris keeps going up, and by no small margin. Even something as relatively humble as the 80s-era Testarossa, for example, has nearly doubled in value over the past year alone. Meanwhile the value of some models – particularly those built in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s – have skyrocketed nearly seven-fold since 2006. Just look at the 250 GTO, one of the most coveted of classic Ferraris among collectors: not taking inflation into account, they were worth thousands in the late 60s, were already selling for hundreds of thousands in the 1980s, and by now are trading hands – on the rare occasion when they do trade hands – for tens of millions. One sold in 2004 for $10 million, and another in 2013 for over $50 million. Those kinds of increases can make a vintage Ferrari seem like a sound investment. That might make it difficult for Ferrari's stock to compete. The company hopes investors will view it as a luxury goods manufacturer along the likes of Prada, Hermes, or Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy, the stocks of which tend to increase in value at a greater rate than those of most automakers. But even the best of those luxury stocks have merely doubled in value since 2006, compared to the aforementioned seven-fold increase enjoyed by some classic Ferraris over the same period. Add to that the prospect of actually getting to enjoy owning a classic Ferrari – albeit at the risk of damaging it and hindering its value – and the idea of investing in Maranello's products instead of its stock can seem like a much more enticing prospect. Former Dolphin Richie Incognito takes a bat to his own Ferrari [w/video]
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Richie Incognito, the former Miami Dolphin's offensive lineman, reportedly vandalized his own new Ferrari FF with a baseball bat on Wednesday, in a story that is just the latest bizarre event to befall the professional football player.
Initial reports indicated that Incognito's car was vandalized and, weirdly, covered in t-shirts bearing the player's name. Following those reports, though, Incognito then told police that he attacked the black FF, although we're still unsure as of why.
Incognito has been in the news of late, following reports from the Miami Dolphins regarding his hazing of teammate Jonathan Martin. As for the Ferrari, damage seems rather light considering it was attacked with a bat by a 320-pound NFL offensive lineman. There are some dings and dents in the hood, and there's a piece of bat lodged in the grille, but beyond that, it looks like this FF will live to drive another day. Scroll below to watch a brief video report on the supercar beatdown.
