For sale, 1983 Ferrari 308 Quattrovalve. This car has some great upgrades.
Rare Speedline wheels. Large Brembo calipers with 2 piece rotors up front. The engine has been twin turbocharged with two IHI turbochargers (same brand as on the Ferrari 288). Koni's on all 4 corners. European front bumper. Performance exhaust (no catalytics). Momo Steering wheel and aluminum pedal covers. The car is a flood survivor from the sandy storm; thus the salvage title (no wrecks or body damage though). Previously owned by a famous New York chef. We personally drained the engine and transmission oils which were clean; no water whatsoever. No water in the gauge cluster whatsover (water didn't get that high). Mostly we've had to fuss with cleaning electrical connectors. One of the headlights is temperamental and the windows move up and down very slowly; although I'm told the window problem is common to the 308s. Dash is still in excellent condition, no pulling or puckering. We welcome test driving or inspecting the car; you can also have your mechanic look the car over at our shop in Rocklin, CA; we can put it on a lift if desired. The bottom of the car and body panels are in excellent condition. The paint is a respray, good but not excellent. Call with questions or to schedule an inspection, 916.765.4284. Low Reserve, Good Feedback, bid with Confidence. Car runs and drives beautifully, you will not be disappointed....now a 308 with enough power, combined with a car that already handles well and upgraded brakes! Buyer is responsible for shipping. |

Kimi out, Bottas in at Ferrari?
Fri, Jun 26 2015Things have not gone well for Scuderia Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen since he returned to the team in 2014. After a pair of strong seasons for Lotus that saw him finish third and fifth, the Finn ended last season in 12th, 106 points behind his teammate, Spaniard Fernando Alonso. His 2015 fortunes have improved – he currently sits in fourth, only a spot behind teammate Sebastian Vettel – but he's been remarkably inconsistent, struggling with the SF15-T, a car that was specifically designed to work with his driving style. He only has a single podium this season, was forced to retire in Australia after a bad pitstop, and he crashed out of the most recent round in Austria. Clearly, Kimi should just stay away from races starting in "Austr." That advice may have come too late, though, as rumors are bubbling up that Ferrari may be swapping its Finns, dropping Raikkonen for his young countryman, Valtteri Bottas. Fox News, citing a report from Germany's Bild, claims Ferrari has made an offer to Bottas' current team, Williams, to secure his services. It doesn't sound like the British team will give him up all that easily, though. According to Fox, Williams enjoys a contractual "option" on the 25-year-old Finn's contract for next season, and that Ferrari would need to buy that contract out to steal him away. Bild claims the Italians have offered $4.4 million, but Williams' second-in-command, Claire Williams, wants nearly four times that. Ferrari has, rejected that figure, allegedly and unsurprisingly. Should the two sides come to a compromise, German and Sahara Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg seems to be the popular choice to take the open Williams seat, Fox is reporting. It's unclear where Raikkonen would end up next. And with that, we consider the 2015 Formula 1 silly season officially open.
Ferrari F150 Enzo-successor takes some loud laps at Fiorano
Tue, 05 Feb 2013From recent spy shots to leaked information, we're starting to get a good idea about just how amazing the unnamed successor to the Ferrari Enzo will be, but now we've finally gotten to see some video of the car testing at the Fiorano Circuit in Italy. This video not only gives us an earful of the car's screaming engine and rumbling exhaust note, it also affords us a view of the car without its fish-face camouflage that it has been caught wearing recently.
The video shows the new supercar testing around the 12-turn, 1.877-mile track with an Enzo, and it is interesting to hear the differences between the 651-horsepower Enzo and its reportedly 950-hp hybrid successor. Scroll down to watch the newest Ferrari going through some track testing, and be sure to turn your speakers up.
1964 Ferrari 250 LM expected to net $12-15 million at RM's NY auction
Tue, 19 Nov 2013
If you're one of the very fortunate souls that has $12 to $15 million burning a very large hole in your pocket, we've found the perfect way to liberate yourself from the burden of so much money - buy this Ferrari, which is being put up for auction. It's a supremely rare Ferrari 250 LM, the 24th member of a 32-car run, that rolled off the assembly line on what we imagine was a brilliant, sunny Italian summer's day in July of 1964.
Officially known as Chassis 6107, this 250 LM is rare because unlike its brothers, it wasn't originally bought to be a race car. Its first owner used it more or less as a toy, both around town and on the infamous Mulholland Drive, in California. After a pair of owners, it found its way into the hands of an Ecuadorian pair, who kicked off its racing career. Its best result was at the 1968 24 Hours of Daytona, where it finished eighth overall and first in class, although subsequent runs at Daytona and Sebring were less successful. Its most recent owner was a Japanese collector, who purchased the car in 1983 and has had it on display ever since.
