1985 Ferrari 3078 GTS
VIN: ZFFLA13B000057375
Up for sale is my 1985 Ferrari GTS Targa, starts and runs perfectly, service records which date back to 2002, present mileage is 44223, garaged, 3 owner car since new, southern car for most of its life, no corrosion or rust or anything of the sort. Engine is strong with excellent oil pressure, starts after a few seconds of turning the ignition key, no smoke, no strange noises, runs cool, no mechanical issues, dry underneath, not leaking any oil. Clutch and transmission are super smooth, car shifts through all the gears cleanly, all synchros are excellent; reverse is perfect as well. No mechanical issues or problems!! All fluids look clean and recently changed. The weels are very clean with no curb rash and the tires are 100%. Brakes stop the car on a dime and rotors are clean. Car "tracks" straight as you drive it and does not pull. The car just passed NC safety inspection which is a safety only inspection, i.e., lights, turn signals, brake lights, headlights, glass, windshield wipers, etc. It passed perfectly with no issues.
We had to list the VIN like this because Ebay wouldn't take it. If you look at other 1985 Ferrari 308s on Ebay they had to do it the same way. The car history (Autocheck) is clean. It shows that it is a 3 owner car, no accidents reported, Autocheck Assured, and that the "Vehicle Checks Out".
Paint looks very good and is clean. There are some stone chips have been touched up on the lower front valence which is understandable (this is the way we purchased the car). Paint is very presentable and passable. It is not a 100 point show car but it looks darn good, if I may say so. There is one spot on the hood where someone pushed down on the hood to lower it and did not do it properly and there is a slight crease in the hood (see picture). I mention this because I want you to know as much as I know about the car.
Interior is original and the seats are in very good condition with respect to the year. The leather does show some minor cracking throughout; there are no holes or tears. Carpets are very clean with no stains and the door panels are excellent; dash is perfect with no cracks; targa top is in very good condition with no chips nor damage to any part.
Here is a video of the car at idle:
Here is a short video of the car being driven:

Ferrari chairman ticked off by Alonso
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Luca Cordero di Montezemolo does not strike us as the kind of person we'd want to cross. We imagine the Chairman of Ferrari as sort of like an automotive Don Corleone, a thought that is further confirmed when we hear about the aftermath of last weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.
Fernando Alonso made some unsubstantiated remarks that have angered his team, with The Daily Mail reporting that when asked after the race what he wanted for his birthday, the Spaniard responded "Someone else's car." And while no one seems to know exactly what was said, it was enough to prompt a personal phone call from the boss of Ferrari on Alonso's birthday for a dressing down.
Montezemolo reminded Alonso that, "All the great champions who have driven for Ferrari have always been asked to put the interests of the team above their own. This is the moment to stay calm, avoid polemics and show humility and determination in making one's own contribution, standing alongside the team and its people both at the track and outside it."
New Zealander builds 1962 Ferrari GTO replica in chicken shed
Thu, Feb 5 2015The Ferrari 250 GTO is one of the most gorgeous vehicles ever made, but with just 39 produced, they're also some of the most expensive cars in the world, often setting records when they occasionally come up for auction. The eye-watering price presents an insanely steep barrier of entry to ownership, which has led at least one buyer to pursue a different option: simply creating his own. While the beautiful example in the video above isn't an authentic, original Ferrari, the story behind this replica goes far beyond some cheap knockoff slapped together haphazardly. Surrounded by crowing roosters and waddling ducks, Rod Temporo doesn't immediately strike you as a guy who would be building exacting replica racers in his shed. However, first impressions aren't always accurate, and Temporo is a maestro when it comes to metalwork. He has been doing this for decades and has recreated all sorts of vintage vehicles, including a beautiful Jaguar XJ13. Temporo and his team are true artisans. They make their own wood bucks for the body and then bang out the metal body with hammers and an English wheel. According to the video, it took them about four years to complete this 1962 GTO replica starting from scratch. The end result is a piece of automotive art.
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton buys LaFerrari
Tue, Mar 24 2015Lewis Hamilton has driven some of the fastest cars ever devised, like the McLaren MP4-23 with which he won the 2008 Formula One World Championship, the Mercedes W05 with which he won the title last year, and the new W06 he drove to the checkered flag in the season opener earlier this month. But what does he drive in his spare time? According to the latest reports quoting his boss Toto Wolff, the reigning champ celebrated his win at the Australian Grand Prix by ordering a new LaFerrari. The seven-figure, 950-horsepower hybrid hypercar may be made by a rival manufacturer to the team for which he drives, but then his employers at Mercedes don't (for the time being at least) build anything that competes in the segment – unlike his former employers at McLaren that offer the similarly potent P1. Something tells us he won't be invited to drive it at Fiorano, though - which is something his rivals Fernando Alonso, Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel have all had the chance to do. Hamilton has a long-established penchant for driving twelve-cylinder exotic supercars in his spare time. At his previous place of work, he was promised an exceedingly rare McLaren F1 LM – valued at some $4 million – but only if he won three world titles for the Woking-based team. He also owns a Pagani Zonda that was made specifically for him with a 760-horsepower engine (supplied, naturally, by Mercedes) and a six-speed manual – complete with a clutch pedal, which (apart from starting off the line) is something he doesn't usually get to operate during working hours.
