You are bidding on one of eight known builds by LPE of a Gen II Viper.  This is most likely the last Gen II they built but you would need to confirm with LPE. It is a Model year 2000 with 7100 miles on it as of this writing.

I bought this car in December 2012 and proceeded to put additional upgrades into it.  The first and foremost is a PROEFI 128 system installed by A&C Performance who is one of the premier Viper tuners in the world.  If you research the Viper community you will see he his the guy on the west coast.

With the PROEFI we added traction control which makes the car much better in driving.  Previously traction was an issue and even in 3rd  or 4th gear you would loose the tires going up an off ramp.  Now, it’s just solid full acceleration.  The car drive great with this tune set up, doesn't get hot, and the air blows cold.  But it is loud and it is fast.  This is my 5th Viper I have owned.  I'm getting to old to keep a car of this magnitude and plan on getting a more current daily driver, perhaps a HellCat which would be alot more tame.

With the EFI Tune the car pulled 674 RWHP  Do the math, with drive-train loss that is about 770 crank HP.

Here is a video from when I picked it up from A&C

Additional things recently added are:

New set of Michelin Pilot tires.

Trap door oil system to the engine oil pan.

MGW billet trim pieces and gas cap (have original pieces still)

Short shifter and knob (have original pieces still)

Billet PS bracket

Billet steer rack bushings

Rear air diffusers

Current upgraded HD Unitrax half shafts.

The engine work at LPE is as follows:

Engine disassembly & inspection
- Lingenfelter CNC cylinder head porting
- Three angle valve job, set spring heights
- Porting and polishing of intake manifold
- Computer balanced rotating assembly
- Custom V10 aluminum block preparation
- Billet steel Moldex crankshaft - 4.250" stroke
- Oliver billet steel connecting rods 6.250"
- File fit plasma moly piston rings
- Lingenfelter designed Competition Cams hydraulic roller camshaft
- Custom 1.7 ratio roller rockers
- Larger stainless steel one piece valves Competition Cams valve springs, titanium retainers, valve locks
- JE Forged pistons & HD piston pins
- Heavy duty rod and main bearings
- 70 mm billet throttle bodies
- Properly sized injectors
- Stainless steel headers
- Corsa stainless steel cat back exhaust system
- Chassis dyno testing after installation
- Gaskets, spark plugs, oil and fluids
- Reassembly and blueprinting of the engine
- Professional installation, testing and tuning
- 2 year/ 24,000 mile warranty
- Lingenfelter certificate of authenticity

In addition, LPE installed Penske fully adjustable shocks, RPM Stage VI Transmission, Brembo Big Brake kit with floating rotors front and rear, new clutch, HD radiator, HRE 18/19 wheel set up.

The car passed CA smog when I bought it but currently has no cats so it won’t anymore therefore buyer is on his own in that regard. The cats got hot with the dyno pulls and left a small mark on the side sill. You can see it with the doors open but not so much when they are closed. Picture attached.  In addition the PROEFI is piggybacked over the OEM computer so that window and doorlocks work but the check engine light remains on.  It can be deleted if needed but never was an issue for me.

If you read though the forums you will find I am a track junkie. However, this car has not been on the track. Primarily for two reasons. It is extra clean and I don’t want windshield and paint chips. If I broke and engine, which I have done before in another Viper, it would no longer be an LPE car as I’d have to go backwards (stock) on the engine.

This car is clean and it runs great. The cam in it is huge. Todd spent hours on the tune to make it run so good.

Stellantis wants to trim 3,500 hourly U.S. jobs, UAW says

Wed, Apr 26 2023

WASHINGTON — Chrysler-parent Stellantis NV wants to cut approximately 3,500 hourly U.S. jobs and is offering voluntary exit packages, according to a United Auto Workers union letter made public Tuesday. The automaker is looking to reduce its hourly workforce offering incentive packages that include $50,000 payments for workers hired before 2007, UAW Local 1264 said in a letter dated Monday posted on its Facebook page. Stellantis spokeswoman Jodi Tinson declined to comment. A person briefed on the matter said the figure might be lower than the figure cited in the UAW letter. In late February, Stellantis indefinitely halted operations at an assembly plant in Illinois, citing rising costs of electric vehicle production. The action impacted about 1,350 workers at the Belvidere, Illinois, plant that built the Jeep Cherokee SUV and resulted in indefinite layoffs. The automaker has warned it may not resume operations as it considers other options. The UAW letter said openings created by workers leaving would be filled by workers on indefinite layoff. Stellantis said in February that about 40,000 U.S. hourly workers were eligible for profit sharing. Last week, UAW President Shawn Fain said Stellantis' decision to idle the Illinois plant was "a flat-out violation" of the union's contract with the UAW and is unacceptable. The UAW will enter talks with the Detroit Three before labor contracts expire in mid-September. Earlier this month, General Motors said about 5,000 salaried workers accepted buyouts to leave the automaker. GM CEO Mary Barra said February job cuts of a few hundred jobs and the 5,000 buyouts "provided approximately $1 billion towards" a $2 billion cost cutting target. Ford Motor Co recently announced significant job cuts in Spain, Germany and other parts of Europe and in August said it would cut a total of 3,000 salaried and contract jobs, mostly in North America and India. Challenger A/T Unlimited Concept could be your next Hellcat-powered ORV

Fri, 29 Aug 2014

This past June I spent an excellent day hanging out with Joey Ruiter, driving and discussing his Reboot Buggy project. Before heading home, I let him know that he was more than welcome to keep me abreast of whichever new automotive project he'd get into. You can never have too many car designers and one-off fabricators in your Rolodex, right?
Ruiter recently made good with the follow-up, emailing me with details on this Dodge Challenger A/T Untamed Concept that pushes a lot of hot buttons for the muscle car and off-roading enthusiasts.
This all-terrain Mopar is a lot more than a Challenger body dropped on a truck chassis, too. A materialized version of the A/T would included a completely new, long-travel suspension, skid plates, body armor and rock sliders, and obviously flared fenders to help accommodate a hellacious set of off-road-ready tires. The dramatically revised underpinnings would be topped with a slick graphics package and a killer lower light bar, all making the A/T look quite cohesive in its own, radical way. And the result would be a car no longer limited to mere road-driving.

Dodge idles Viper production again at Conner Avenue

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

You've got to hand it to Dodge for having the gumption to put the original Viper into production in the first place. It was, after all, much more of an emotional decision than a practical one, and a move which saw the first production V10 engine placed in a road car - long before the advent of the Lamborghini Gallardo, Audi R8, Porsche Carrera GT or Lexus LFA, not to mention the other Ford, BMW and Volkswagen Group models that used such engines.
It's now been 22 years since the first Viper entered production and the Viper still rolls on several generations later, but we're sad to say that courageous decision has not always been met with overwhelming sales success. In fact parent Chrysler was forced to idle the Conner Avenue plant where the Viper is made back in April due to slow sales. And while production resumed again as planned on June 23, it apparently didn't do the trick.
As a result, Chrysler corporate communications chief Shawn Morgan revealed to Autoblog that the assembly line has been shut down again for another two weeks. The line was up and running for nearly two full work weeks from June 23 until the holiday weekend that started on Thursday, July 3. But instead of coming back online today as planned, it's been idled again for the weeks of July 7 and 14. That means it will be July 21, at the earliest, before the serpentine supercars start slithering down the assembly line at Conner Avenue again. Once it does, however, production is set to resume at the same pace it was before the shutdown.
