2006 Dodge Viper Srt10 Coupe - Black - Excellent Condition - No Reserve on 2040-cars
Burleson, Texas, United States
Just turned over 26,000 miles...Clear title, Clean Car Fax, no accidents - No problems since I bought the car in early 2009...(I bought a factory extended warranty, and never used it once!) Always garaged, Excellent condition, Glossy paint. It comes with the original owners manual, original window sticker, and 2 key sets. I am the second owner, and have the title in hand. All pictures are current: Taken in February 2014 & May 2014. Modifications: -Upgraded Gen IV Hood -SRT Five-Spokes Powdercoated Gloss Black -Corsa Track Exhaust System -Random Tech Cats -Custom intake w/ K&N Filters (Have stock intake/filters as well) -SCT custom tune w/ 170 thermostat from DC Performance (SCT Tuner w/ stock tune included) -Nitto Invo tires (Recent, low miles) -Die Hard battery -MGW Shifter, MGW cup hold decor. -Mopar Carbon Fiber-Look Center Console -Lloyd Viper SRT-10 Logo Mats I do know that the original owner had the engine replaced under warranty by Dodge at 14K miles, so the engine itself is at approx. 12K miles. It's been strong, reliable, and has been free of any annoying tapping/ticking noises that I've heard on other Vipers. Oil changed regularly w/ synthetic. Engine burns no oil - Oil level remains constant between oil changes. Engine sounds strong, and makes no strange noises; no abnormal ticking or tapping noises. The transmission/clutch shift very smoothly. The car drives straight, and runs just like it did when I bought it in 2009. Actually it runs a lot better/cleaner with the custom tune. Air conditioner blows cold. I have owned this Viper since early 2009, and immediately bought a factory extended warranty through Dodge/Chrysler. I never had an issue that made me want to take the car to the dealership, and risk dealership damage, carelessness. The car’s driver-side window will likely need a new window regulator at some point, which is very common on these cars. The window opens & closes fine, but periodically does not auto-drop when exiting the car. I have always left the windows cracked, or down when driving, so it has never been an issue for me. Also, the tire pressure warning notification is on, as the tire pressure sensors will need to be re-synced to the car. Again, I eventually would have gotten this fixed, but wanted to avoid possible wheel damage ect. All tires are at 29, and none leak any air. The car has been driven, just over 26,000 miles, so it does have minor paint imperfections on front bumper, hood ect...
If shipping is needed, it will be at the buyer’s expense. Winning bidder must PayPal me $500 within 24 hours of auction end. - Remaining purchase amount may be in the form of a bank wire, cashier’s check, or cash. (within 7 days) All funds must clear before car is shipped or picked up. I do not have to sell, and I am not necessarily in a big hurry to sell….so no low-ballers. I am just looking to make a change after 5 years with this car. I have owned Vipers previous to this car, and most likely will be moving into another Viper. Let me know if there are any questions. You can contact me through eBay, or via email: cmilburntx@gmail.com Thanks, and Good Luck! |

Rare Dodge Daytona found in barn heads for auction
Tue, Dec 15 2015An American icon is headed to Mecum's Kissimmee, Florida auction next January. Charlie Lyons, owner of a restoration shop focused on old Chrysler products, got a lead on a two-owner 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona that had been sitting in a barn in Glenwood, Alabama for decades. Dodge built 560 Charger Daytonas (Canada and US production) to homologate the model for NASCAR racing, and then that car and the successor Plymouth Superbird terrorized NASCAR tracks for 18 months. The production car, however, 18 feet long and considered ugly, wasn't popular at the time, so many were beat up or simply disappeared. Around 385 are thought to exist today. Lyons said the first owner of this car was the town judge, who bought it for his wife. In 1974 the second owner - just 18 years old at the time - bought it for $1,800 so he could drive it to Panama City, Florida, for Spring Break, and had flames painted on the front fenders and the scallops trimmed in white. Otherwise this barn find is complete and stock, with matching numbers throughout, R4 Charger Red paint and a white tail, bucket seats, center console, three-speed TorqueFlite automatic, and 20,553 miles on the 440-cubic-inch Magnum V8. Hot Rod has the long story of how Lyons found the car and convinced the owner to sell for what he jokingly called "a shoebox full of folded money." Hagerty says a concours-worthy model can command $262,000. Mecum's pre-sale estimate for this Charger Daytona is $150,000 to $180,000. That sounds steep, but Mecum did sell another perfectly restored Hemi-powered 1969 Charger Daytona for $900,000 at this year's Kissimmee auction to actor David Spade. Related Video:
Will the Chrysler 300 go front-wheel drive?
Tue, May 10 2016FCA chief executive Sergio Marchionne hinted last week that the strapping rear-wheel-drive Chrysler 300 sedan could go front-wheel drive for its next generation using the underpinnings from the Chrysler Pacifica minivan. Speaking at the Pacifica's production launch in Windsor, ON, Marchionne said, "this plant and this architecture is capable of making the 300 successor, the front-wheel, all-wheel-drive successor," Reuters reported. Perhaps realizing he appeared to be announcing a dramatic shift in product strategy, Marchionne backpedaled in response to a follow-up question, noting only that the Ontario factory is "capable" of making the sedan. "It's capable. It's not a commitment," he said, according to Reuters. The 300 is currently built in Brampton, ON, alongside the mechanically similar Dodge Charger and Challenger. The platform, known as LX in enthusiast circles, is an evolution of Mercedes-based chassis pieces that date to the DaimlerChrysler era. Marchionne's comments didn't cover the Dodges and left a lot open to interpretation. The 300 could switch to front- and all-wheel-drive and focus on a more civilized, elegant ride character, leaving the Charger and two-door Challenger as traditional rear-wheel-drive muscle cars. That strategy would further differentiate the Chrysler and Dodge car lines. Additionally, the Charger's RWD platform makes it a popular police vehicle, and both Dodges are offered in top trim as 707-horsepower Hellcats. Switching to front-wheel drive would seemingly complicate both of those endeavors. Rumors have also swirled that Alfa Romeo could contribute RWD underpinnings for Dodge. Mopar '14 teased, returns to Challenger
Wed, 16 Oct 2013Every year, Mopar selects one special vehicle from the Chrysler portfolio and creates its own, one-off, special edition. Previously, there was the Mopar '13 Dart, '12 300, '11 Charger and the '10 Challenger, and for 2014, this teaser image shows that the company will be giving the unique treatment to Dodge's muscle coupe yet again.
Mopar has not revealed any details about its '14 Challenger, though the brand's president and CEO, Pietro Gorlier, says that "This limited-edition ride is for muscle-car fans who love high octane and customizable performance." All we know is, it's white, has some blue stripes, and a black (or carbon fiber) rear spoiler.
We'll know more when the Mopar '14 Challenger is revealed at the SEMA show in early November. In the meantime, click the image above to check out the teaser in high resolution, and have a look below for Chrysler's official press blast.
