2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10 522CI Underground Twin Turbo
I have decided offer my pride and joy for sale. I am looking at the 2013 Viper to start modifying or possibly an 08 Superleggera. It's not your run of the Mill Twin Turbo Viper. There are way to many out there that have been passed around, beat up, wrecked, fixed and offered. Not this one. It has the Full Underground Stage 3 build with 78mm Ball Bearing Precision Turbos. Engine is a 522 Stroker Oliver Rods Pro Gram Main Caps CP Pistons Custom Cam Stage 3 heads Mcloud Dual Disc Clutch and Aluminum Flywheel New t6060 Transmission. (I removed the g-force as the 6060 is just so much smoother, shorter throws etc. It's absolutely amazing.) Moton Fully adjustable Suspension Asanti Custom wheels. I personally just really like these. I have 19's all the way around with Nitto nt05r drag radials in the rear, and Also have a set of 20's for the rear with brand new Nitto Invo's so I could switch if I wanted. Car runs a Motec M800 with all the Capabilities. It has traction control which is adjustable on the fly. It also has Flex fuel. Run pump gas....E85, or a combination. Adjustable power modes on the fly. Currently set up with Boost by gear. The car as such an array of items its hard to remember them all. Backup Camera integrated into the Nav screen. It has to be one of the most Powerful AND RELIABLE Twin Turbo Vipers on the entire planet! Tuned by Shane T. I run this car on pump gas and e85 all the time on long trips without so much as a glitch. On pump gas it has 2 settings which are 840 rwhp, and 1004 rwhp. On e85 It is currently set at 1150 rwhp, which could Easily be turned up to 1400 or so if wanted. At 840 rwhp it feels great!. Smooth, tight, and taken care of. Will beat practically anything you run up against. On e85 at 1150-1200 rwhp, it's hard pressed to think that anything could pull this car from a freeway roll! Feeling is believing. There are lots of fast cars out there, some with fake numbers, or ones that look great to get one pass down the road and have something break. This car is my personal car and it has be treated with only the best parts!. It could be driven anywhere! It has been driven and is not a garage queen. I have added the 2010 Viper hood as it is more aggressive and has better cooling, In addition I added the black stripes and color scheme. In person, this car is a looker and sounds like a lear jet going down the road when the turbos spool up. Some turbo cars are relatively quiet. This one has that loud turbo jet whine on acceleration we all love going down the road. When I haven't driven it for a few weeks, I contemplate selling it. Then I drive it again and feel I cant part with it, as it really will not be replaceable. I do not think you will find anything that was taken care of like this, has NEVER been in an accident, and is absolutely violent when you wanna go get some respect and subtle when you want to take your wife to dinner. With the way the traction control is setup (which you can turn it off or on, on the fly or adjust) the car stays straight. Unlike cheaper systems, the Motec is one of the highest quality (and the most expensive) systems out there. So whether you wanted to go to a car show and open all the doors and the hood, go on a cruise, hit the dragstrip, or go to a mile event. This is the car. It's setup right. There may be others out there for less or more, who knows. But none that have all the bugs worked out and you can safely go beat on it on a 105 degree day at 1150 whp, and it never misses a beat. (oh thats with the AC on!) I had fully planned on keeping this one forever and even went to the extent of buidling new custom turbos for it that I was gonna try just to do it! So if your looking for a keeper, that will destroy virtually anything from a 80mph roll. This is your car. It'll stop crowds in the parking lot and best of all. You wont be working on it! Anytime I see flaws I usually am replacing things. Scratch here, blemish here. So feel free to call me with any questions. I don't have a set figure in my head. I am listing it here to see the interest and if the bid is right I will drop the reserve and let it go. Car can be seen at any time. Clear title in my name, in my safe :) Please don't ask me what the reserve is set at, because for the right deal, I will drop the reserve and sell the car. Todd 951-816-9111 call or text. Honestly consider this an opportunity to purchase one of the baddest, best looking, most reliable Viper on the planet. I'm not looking for a trade unless it's exactly what I want which would not be a passed out and handed around vehicle that has had 10 owners :) It's be an 08 Gallardo Superleggera or a 2013 Viper in the right color combination. Both accident free. On Dec-16-13 at 08:33:05 PST, seller added the following information: To answer some questions from info i left out. Car has triple e85 pumps, staged. Has -10 feed, aeromotive regulator, ID2000 injectors Also has meth injection which is really just a precaution. Pump gas tune was tuned without it, then added for extra safety. Has many failsafes built into the tune such as: Oil pressure Over boost Methanol pressure safety switch Fuel pressure Etc... Depending on where your location is....this depends and is a key factor...i would "consider" transporting this car to you myself with my truck and enclosed trailer so you could have it BEFORE XMAS!...The price would have to be right, but i would consider this. |

2015 Dodge Challenger gets 6.4L 485-HP V8 Scat Pack
Thu, 17 Apr 2014While it's not seeing the drastic facelift of its brother, the Charger, at the 2014 New York Auto Show, the 2015 Challenger is packing some upgrades of its own. It wears even more retro-inspired styling cues, and there are new 6.4-liter Scat Pack and Shaker trims.
If you thought the Challenger looked retro before, Dodge is taking things even farther with inspiration for the refresh coming from the iconic 1971 model. Up front, it has a new split grille, a larger power bulge in the hood and projector fog lights. At the rear, the classic inspiration continues with split LED taillights with Gloss Black trim, and a rear valance panel redesigned to make the 2015 model look wider and lower.
The '71 motif is carried inside as well with a high-sill center console and aluminum gauge bezels. There's still more than a touch of modernity, with an available 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system and 7-inch customizable display between the retro-inspired speedometer and tachometer. For better safety, the Challenger is also now available with forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross path detection. Stability control and electric power steering are standard across all models too.
Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme
Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
Top torque-to-weight ratios under $100k, $50k and $25k
Tue, 07 Oct 2014Horsepower may steal a lot of headlines, but the always-more-complex torque figure is often a critical one for both the workingman and the motoring playboy. The measure of rotational force represents the twist that can liquefy one's tires or haul one's horse trailer. Good stuff.
It follows then, that as with the horsepower-to-weight list that we assembled for you a few months ago, a list of cars that offer the most pound-feet with the fewest pounds to carry, is an interesting one to break down. Sure, there's a big difference in how the torque is applied from a turbocharged six-cylinder in a Swedish luxury sedan and a massive heavy-duty truck's turbo-diesel. But being the car/stat geeks that we are, we think it's kinda neat that those two vehicles rank near each other where torque and weight intersect.
As with the horsepower list, we've given you figures as pounds per every one pound-foot. Again broken down into broad price categories, we've got a mixed bag of 2014 and 2015 models here, too. Every effort has been made to select the most up-to-date prices and specs, and we've also to omitted some '14 cars that won't be re-upped after the ongoing yearly changeover.
