2004 Dodge Viper SRT-10

Here is your chance to own one of the most beautiful sports cars of all time, the Dodge Viper SRT-10.  A stunning vehicle born out of the factory in Viper Silver Mettalic.  A real head turner with performance to match!  505 Horses / 525 lb-ft torque SCREAM through the 8.3L V10 Viper powerhouse.  Motor affixed to a Six Speed manual transmission as standard for Vipers.  Factory AM FM CD with 6 disc changer, 19 and 18 inch factory polished chrome wheels on Michelin Pilot Sport tires with plenty of tread.  Exclusive SRT-10 interior, SRT-10 Black leather seats, HID headlamps, Easy to use convertible top, power doors and windows, PUSH button start. This is a very hard to find vehicle all-stock, no interior, exterior or performance mods as should be for a true Viper.  Do not let the mileage fool you this Viper has been very well nurtured and cared for.   Viper has fully documented service history and recent complete tune up.    Body is straight as an arrow and free of any damage.  Hard to find color combo.

Overall the exterior of this card is in Excellent condition and the paint still looks like glass.  The Viper does show on its carfax and autocheck vehicle history reports that it was involved in a minor accident.  The previous owner ran the car along a cub damaging both wheels and the previous owner turned that claim into the insurance company and received two new wheels and tires - this is why that shows up on the carfax and autocheck.  You can see this for yourself on the reports to confirm.  This car has never been hit or had any body or paint work, it is 100% original body and paint.

Mechanically this Viper is breathtaking as well.  Drives very strong, has a very healthy ten cylinder motor and a six speed transmission that shifts nice and smooth to pull you back in your seat!  This Viper has always been serviced at authorized dealership.  This Viper is very fast and pulls hard with Viper powered V10.  Was recently tuned and lubed, needs nothing else.  Own your dream car today, I am a private party Viper enthusiast.

Get it while you can, SRT-10 Vipers are hard to find as most owners are holding on to them to appreciate in value.  Here's your chance to own my Viper for a fraction of what it is worth.   Best of all it is a rust free, collision free vehicle registered and smogged in California!

NHTSA probing Ram recall pace, communication

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced that it's looking into Chrysler Group's handling of a pair of recalls affecting roughly one million Ram pickup trucks. Reuters is reporting that the regulatory agency is focusing on the availability (or lack thereof) of parts and "poor communications" from the automaker in its investigation.
"Customers have been advised in accordance with the regulations governing recalls," Chrysler spokesman Eric Mayne told Reuters via email. "We are continually replenishing our supply of replacement parts. Chrysler Group regrets any inconvenience our customers may have experienced."
NHTSA disagrees, arguing that the recalls, which affect 972,000 trucks from 2003 to 2012, are being delayed by the lack of parts.

2013 Dodge Durango R/T

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Not too long ago, Chevrolet got itself into some trouble by throwing the SS badge on just about everything it produced, so I've always been a little hesitant about the seemingly excessive use of the R/T nameplate on Dodge vehicles. For the 2013 model year, every model in Dodge's lineup has an R/T trim level from Dart all the way up to the Durango. Although the R/T name used to signified models made for road and track, I doubt anyone would be delusional enough to assume the Durango - and some of the other models wearing this badge - are suited for any sort of track duty.
Still, when this 2013 Dodge Durango R/T rolled up for me to drive for the week, I couldn't help but take in its big, mean and imposing stance. Sure, if I had my choice of buying any of the Dodge R/T products, the Charger and Challenger would be my top picks for sure, but it's easy to say that the Durango would be a close third - far above the R/T versions of the Avenger, Journey and Grand Caravan.

Dodge recalls 27k Darts for bracket that can disrupt transmission module

Thu, Sep 17 2015

Dodge is recalling 27,520 examples of the 2013-2015 Dart with dual-clutch gearboxes. The mounting bracket for the transmission control module can affect the part's operation and cause the compacts to suddenly shift into neutral. According to the automaker, 23,688 of them are in the US, 3,376 in Canada, 5 in Mexico, and 451 elsewhere. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports these examples carry build dates between February 24, 2012, and June 16, 2015. There are also no reports of accidents or injuries. Because of the way the bracket is mounted, the part can put too much force on the control module's circuit board and cause it to shift out of gear. The engine and airbags remain operable if this happens. To fix things, dealers will install a redesigned mount and replacement module. Related Video: Statement: Mounting Bracket September 14, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is recalling an estimated 23,688 cars in the U.S. to replace certain control modules and mounting brackets that may contribute to a loss of motive power. The Company is unaware of any related injuries or accidents. An FCA US investigation prompted by a small number of warranty claims discovered a control-module mounting bracket may apply too much force and disrupt the function of a circuit board within the module. This condition, unique to certain cars equipped with dual dry-clutch transmissions (DDCT), may cause the transmission to shift into neutral. However, the engine remains on and the vehicle's air-bags, as well as other safety features, are unaffected. The condition may also be preceded by the illumination of a dashboard warning light. Customers who observe this are urged to contact their dealers. The campaign is limited to certain 2013-2015 Dodge Darts equipped with DDCTs. Additional vehicles will be recalled in Canada (3,376), Mexico (five) and outside the NAFTA region (451). Affected customers will be advised when they may schedule service, which will be performed free of charge. Service will entail installation of a redesigned mounting bracket and replacement of the control module. Customers with additional questions may call the FCA US Customer Information Center at 1-800-853-1403.
