Description: Up for sale is my 2003 Black Dodge Viper SRT-10. I purchased this Viper in March 2010 when the car was stock except for B&B cat-back exhaust with 17,000 miles and has changed very little since then. I have put roughly 6,600 miles on the car driving to car shows and to work on rare occasions. The car has been VERY well taken care of and it has always been kept in my insulated garage. This car is an absolute blast to drive and I hope the next owner can enjoy it as much as I have. The main reason I'm selling the car is to begin saving for my next car; a 2008-2010 Dodge Viper ACR. I love this car and absolutely love working on it because it is so easy to work on, but I haven’t been able to drive it enough to really enjoy it in the past two years and it has become a garage queen. I’m ready to pass it on to another owner who can enjoy it more than I am able to. Exterior Condition: The paint on the car looks excellent! I always receive compliments on how the car looks brand new at car shows. A few very minor rock chips from normal driving are present on the front grill, hood and underneath the rocker panels but they are only noticeable when specifically looking to find them. When I purchased the car the fogs lights showed small cracks but since they work properly and sit so low on the car where they are never noticed, I have not replaced them.
Interior Condition: Interior condition is very good and comparable to exterior! Gauges and control panel look brand new. The leather on the seats looks brand new. The interior and exterior was regularly cleaned with every few drives for car shows so even the floor mats also look great with some normal wear. The engine bay is absolutely immaculate!
Engine/Transmission Condition: Engine and transmission are extremely strong with no known problems or visible leaks on any fluids. With the upgraded exhaust, the engine breaths very well and SCREAMS at wide open throttle because of the Corsa exhaust. I changed the oil every 1,500-2,000 miles with Mobile-1 synthetic oil and have also changed the rear differential fluid at 22,000 miles. I’ve had the car dynoed at 448 hp and 464 ft/lb torque but with a good tune, she’ll probably add 30 to both horsepower and torque.
Electrical/Cooling: I’ve had no problems electrically with this car at all. I replaced the battery to get a “Die Hard Gold” black battery instead of the white Interstate battery that the car had when I purchased the car and have not had any problems since. A/C blows cold without any issues. Car runs between 180-200 degrees Fahrenheit and I’ve never had a problem with the car overheating, even in MD summer heat in stop and go Washington, DC beltway traffic.
Modifications: - High performance Bellanger Headers with 1 3/4" header tubes to full 3" merge collector - High flow catalytic converters (reduces stock 4 catalytic converters to 2 high performance converters) - 3" Corsa exhaust with crossover pipe removed -Rebuilt and painted calipers to match post-2003 Viper calipers -EBC-Red brake pads for reduced brake dust with black wheels
Videos: The car has been captured on several videos, which can be seen on youtube.com. Several of the videos are with aftermarket performance wheels that I'm selling separately. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqvkRDXnoTo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYzbc5oRod8&list=LLVg1LLWT7Km0fZpAjPfDf9w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJ8LO-NJvOk&list=LLVg1LLWT7Km0fZpAjPfDf9w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGGN_6sq1CA&feature=youtu.be Feel free to call/e-mail any time for more information/pictures of the car!! EV cost burden pushing automakers to their limits, says Stellantis' CEO Tavares
Wed, Dec 1 2021DETROIT — Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said external pressure on automakers to quickly shift to electric vehicles potentially threatens jobs and vehicle quality as producers struggle with EVs' higher costs. Governments and investors want car manufacturers to speed up the transition to electric vehicles, but the costs are "beyond the limits" of what the auto industry can sustain, Tavares said in an interview at the Reuters Next conference released Wednesday. "What has been decided is to impose on the automotive industry electrification that brings 50% additional costs against a conventional vehicle," he said. "There is no way we can transfer 50% of additional costs to the final consumer because most parts of the middle class will not be able to pay." Automakers could charge higher prices and sell fewer cars, or accept lower profit margins, Tavares said. Those paths both lead to cutbacks. Union leaders in Europe and North America have warned tens of thousands of jobs could be lost. Automakers need time for testing and ensuring that new technology will work, Tavares said. Pushing to speed that process up "is just going to be counter productive. It will lead to quality problems. It will lead to all sorts of problems," he said. Tavares said Stellantis is aiming to avoid cuts by boosting productivity at a pace far faster than industry norm. "Over the next five years we have to digest 10% productivity a year ... in an industry which is used to delivering 2 to 3% productivity" improvement, he said. "The future will tell us who is going to be able to digest this, and who will fail," Tavares said. "We are putting the industry on the limits." Electric vehicle costs are expected to fall, and analysts project that battery electric vehicles and combustion vehicles could reach cost parity during the second half of this decade. Like other automakers that earn profits from combustion vehicles, Stellantis is under pressure from both establishment automakers such as GM, Ford, VW and Hyundai, as well as start-ups such as Tesla and Rivian. The latter electric vehicle companies are far smaller in terms of vehicle sales and employment. But investors have given Tesla and Rivian higher market valuations than the owner of the highly profitable Jeep and Ram brands. That investor pressure is compounded by government policies aimed at cutting greenhouse gas emissions. The European Union, California and other jurisdictions have set goals to end sales of combustion vehicles by 2035.

Chrysler Group moves around execs in wake of recent departure
Tue, 16 Apr 2013Chrysler is busy shuffling executives around in the wake of Ram head Fred Diaz's departure. The automaker has named Reid Bigland (pictured, right) as Diaz's successor in the role of president and CEO of Ram, though Bigland will continue his duties as the head of US sales and the president and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Bigland first came to Chrysler in 2006 from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, so the guy knows a thing or two about trucks.
Meanwhile, Timothy Kuniskis will take over as president and CEO of Dodge. Previously, he served as the head of Fiat in North America and has been with Chrysler in one capacity or another since 1992. His old title now falls to Jason Stoicevich, who will also continue to work as the director of the automaker's California Business Center. Finally, Bruno Cattori will take over as the president and CEO of Chrysler Mexico.
Diaz left his position to take over as a divisional vice president of sales and marketing with Nissan. You can read the full press release on the Chrysler personnel changes below for more information.
