One Of the finest examples of a Generation 1 Viper in Viper Black, (only 10% of all Vipers in 1994 were produced in
this color). Original owner, purchased new in 1995 as a gift to myself on my retirement, (you do the math), ADULT
DRIVEN. My Sunday Fair Weather Fun for a day, now parting company, looking to "slow things down a bit."Less than
27,000 original miles, this Viper has been to two Viper Owners Invitationals, one in Las Vegas and one in St.
Louis, both of which drew lots of attention, probably the most for a First Generation Vehicle, (the Python Skins
did it). Many tasteful modifications and additions totaling thousands of dollars are listed and pictured so that
you might see why this Generation 1 is Unique. Original Window Description (sealed in plastic) $58,500 pictured.
An upgrade from the "Hokey" 3 spoke Wheels to '96 GTS 5 spoke Wheels and Caps, Custom Interior includes a '96
Black Dash, (all 93-94 are Gray), trimmed with genuine Red dyed Python Skins, Leather Red/Black Viper logo seats,
Pioneer 6 disc CD Player, Black Dash Mat, Seat Belt Shoulder Cushions, Floor Mats and spare Tire Cover all with
Viper logos. A complete Tonneau Cover, (looks very "British" with just the passenger side on). Cockpit Rain cover
with Viper logo, Soft Top in Excellent condition. Chrysler Corp. Service Manual, Body Construction, Dimensions, and
Joints Manual, and the 8.OL Electronic Fuel Injection (MPI) Manual, all as NEW. Spectre Fresh Air Filters and
Intake Tubes, Stotz Stainless Headers, Extra Custom made Stainless Borla 3" Exhaust system note: (while system adds
11 mpg and a much louder exhaust note it is not street legal as it has no Cats. The Catted system is installed).
Red Silicone Plug Wiring, change out the 3.07 Differential to 3.73, (3.07's in a box). Sure makes it a lot more fun
to drive. Rear Spoiler. My Viper has been religiously maintained and pampered. Oil changes every 2500 miles or
yearly if that mile mark was not reached. Always stored in a climate controlled environment. Its overall condition
is Very,Very Good. There are minor scratches and pits, nothing to take away from the Vehicles Beauty or
Performance. This Viper delivers Unbelievable value as well as looks and performance, it continues to be a crowd
magnet and turns heads wherever it goes.

Chrysler recalling 700k minivans and Dodge Journey for ignition switch woes
Tue, 01 Jul 2014General Motors isn't the only automaker with ignition switch problems. Chrysler is fighting it too and is now announcing a recall of 695,957 examples worldwide of the Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans from the 2008-2010 model years, plus the 2009-2010 Dodge Journey.
According to a statement from Chrysler, the models have a bad wireless ignition node detent ring in the ignition switch, making it possible for drivers to appear to have the key in the "Run" position but for the spring not to fully engage. It can then slip back to the "Accessory" position and shut the car off. If this happens, the vehicle loses power steering, brake boost and the airbags.
There is some disparity about the number of vehicles affected under this recall. In its statement, Chrysler claims that it covers 525,206 vehicles in the US, 102,892 in Canada, 25,591 in Mexico and 42,268 elsewhere. However, the recall announcement posted by The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration lists an estimated 438,109 vehicles in the US. Chrysler spokesperson Nick Cappa told Autoblog via email that the reasoning for the different figures "will become clear at a later date."
Mopar teases four of 'nearly 20' SEMA Show concepts
Fri, Oct 23 2015Yesterday it was Chevrolet. Today, Mopar has dropped some SEMA knowledge, releasing a quartet of teaser images that give us some indication of what kind of cars, trucks, and crossovers Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram will be showing in Las Vegas. Like Chevy, Mopar's concepts utilize both production and concept accessories, although Fiat Chrysler has gone a bit more indepth on at least one of its concepts. Immediately, the most tantalizing teaser is the one shown above. Yes, that's the back of a Challenger, and aside from the bright orange accents on the gray body, you should take notice of the badge mounted on the spoiler – yes, that says "GT AWD." To be honest, such a vehicle wouldn't be a huge shock, as both the Challenger's LX platform-mates, the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300, are offered with all-wheel-drive options. Still, adding such a vehicle to the production cycle would give Dodge a leg up on the rear-drive only Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. Aside from that concept, FCA has also released teasers of a Ram-based concept, a 300-based concept, and what we're guessing is a Fiat 500X. We can't wait to see what the actual Fiat concept has to do with kiteboarding. As for the 300 and Ram, there's not a lot of hints on what sort of styling details they'll contain. The Chrysler has additional LED accents and what we're guessing is matte blue paint, while the Ram is based on a Hemi-powered 1500 with Rebel styling cues. This is just a very tiny sample of Mopar's final SEMA roster, which include "hundreds" of parts. There should also be a total of 20 vehicles covering all four former Chrysler Group brands, as well as Fiat. Naturally, we'll have plenty to report on each vehicle once the SEMA show kicks off in the next couple weeks.
Dodge celebrates big B-day with 100th Anniversary Editions muscle cars
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Being in business for 100 years is a HUGE milestone, so we hope Dodge has more in mind to celebrate its centennial than just a special edition package for the 2014 Charger and Challenger. Called the 100th Anniversary Edition package, this collection of cosmetic enhancements will be available in limited quantities for both cars at a cost of $2,500.
Ordering a Charger or Challenger with the 100th Anniversary Edition package means starting with either a V6-powered SXT Plus or V8-powered R/T Plus model. They can each be ordered in many colors, but only the High-Octane Red Pearl Coat above is an anniversary exclusive. Each car also comes with an anniversary-exclusive set of 20-inch, five-spoke wheels with what Dodge calls "Granite Crystal pockets," a texture that's also mirrored on each car's grille.
Of course, there are commemorative badges galore affixed to the exterior of each car, including "Dodge Est. 1914" fender badges and "100" logos on the center caps of each wheel. The styling theme of each car's interior is a bit more interesting, with Dodge designers trying to evoke "the patina and machinist legacy of John and Horace Dodge," the company's founders. To that end, the leather interior can be had in Molten Red or Foundry Black Nappa, and each features a custom cloud overprint that makes the hide look like a working man's dirty dungarees. Designers also used brass-colored accent stitching on the interior's leather trim pieces, and affixed more "Dodge Est. 1914" badges to the front seat backs and floor mats. We do like the flat-bottomed steering wheel, and the Challenger 100th Anniversary Edition gets exclusive white gauges faces and the Charger black. The "100" on each car's speedometer is also highlighted in red.
