If you don't want to pay the high price of a new Dodge Viper, then you can buy mine that is "like new"!  New condition inside and out.

Enjoy the auction and here is a little history of my  1993 Viper: It has only 2,784 original miles. It is completely stock.  It is a V-10 with 400 torque, 6 Speed and I am the second owner. The first owner bought it off the assembly line as he had a friend (VP of Viper Production Plant). The year was l992 and the first owner went to the Indianapolis 500 race where a Viper was the Pace Car. He fell in love and tried to purchase a 1992 Viper (first year of prouction) but was to late to order one. The Viper Production friend was able to line him up with this 1993 and was even able to watch it go thru the assembly line steps. It is actually the 94th Viper off of the assembly line as shown in the VIN Once he bought th Viper he then purchased the factory A/C & had it  installed thru the Dodge dealershipHe also got a factory hardtop after he  bought the Viper. The soft top is in the trunk along with the plastic snap in windows, the radio antennae & the tonneau cover. (Which all of them are still in their original covers too).   In 1996 he bought another new Viper but in 2002, he  decided to trade in both this 1993 and the l996 Viper for a brand new 2002 Viper. I was able to purchase this "like new"1993 Viper from the dealership that he had been trading with.

When I bought this 1993 Dodge Viper RT/10 in July  2002 it only had 770 original miles on it.  I have had a great time owning the car these past 10 years and have taken excellent care of it. It has always been garaged and actually never been out in the rain or snow.  The undercarriage of the car is also very nice and in excellent condition. It even has the original plastic on the door jam sills as you can see in one of the pictures. The miles on it right now are 2,784 which means the 2,000 miles I have driven amount to only 200 miles a year!

Last year I had all the fluids changed, the filters replaced and a new battery installed for a cost of over $l,000. All my paperwork & documentation from July 2002 to present are in a notebook that will come with the sell of the car.  In 2003 my wife bought the original floor mats from the original owner as he decide to part with them. She also bought me a high end quilted car cover from California Car Covers Co. for my Viper as shown in the pictures. The only reason I am selling this fun and special car is that I am in the process of purchasing a very nice restored 1961 Jewel Blue Corvette and I need the space in the garage as I don't have room for both cars.  As  you can also see from the pictures, my wife and grandkids have all loved taking rides in Viper and we will miss all the attention and waves we receive while driving the car down our Main Street on our Sunday outings!

SO, Don't MONKEY around and "be in second" to a couple of hot rod car crazy Monkey's!!

This Viper sells as is, where is. It is sold without warranty. I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. I highly recommend asking questions on EBay's "ask the buyer" option or inspecting the car in person prior to bidding. Shipping or pickup is to be arranged and paid for by the buyer. A $l,000 non-refundable deposit can be made thru PayPal but final payment will not be accepted thru PayPal. A Certified Cashier Check from a bank is required.

Dodge Dart falls short of Consumer Reports Recommended, Caddy XTS and Lincoln MKS, too

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

The Dodge Dart, Cadillac XTS and Lincoln MKS all failed to earn a "Recommended" rating from Consumer Reports. When it came to the compact Dart, the organization's testers thought the vehicle offered a quiet cabin, solid-feeling chassis and nimble suspension, but the new model ultimately fell short of the coveted rating due to powertrain issues. The institute's reviewers found the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to be underpowered and noted "drivability issues" when the available turbocharged 1.4-liter four was paired with the optional dual-clutch transmission (some of our editors disliked it paired with the six-speed manual). CR also dinged the latter powerplant for sounding "raspy." For what it's worth, we think the forced-induction engine offers an excellent and playful exhaust note, but that's just us.
As for the XTS, CR lauded the car for its luxurious cabin, but the vehicle's experience was dulled by its finicky CUE infotainment interface. Overall, the big Cadillac scored much higher than its cross-town rival from Lincoln. While testers found the American luxury sedan to offer a quiet ride and quality fit and finish, they felt the MKS delivered a "cramped driving position, ungainly handling, uncomposed ride, and limited visibility." Ouch. At the end of the day, both cars fell short of rivals from Japan, Germany and Korea. Check out the full press release below with more details, along with CR's musings on the Chevrolet Spark and Lexus ES.

Our interview with Jeremy Clarkson and James May, plus SEMA! | Autoblog Podcast #491

Fri, Nov 4 2016

This week, David Gluckman and Mike Austin talk SEMA madness, mis-aligned steering wheels, wireless charging, McLarens (they're sports cars!), and decals. We also have an excerpt from a recent interview with James May and Jeremy Clarkson of The Grand Tour and Top Gear fame. As always, we talk about a variety of cars we've been driving and then respond to some questions from listeners. And as a bonus, there's a trivia question mixed in. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want questionable buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. Oh, and please send trivia questions! You'll get the honor of stumping your fellow listeners, and we'll thank you too. Buyer says Dodge dealer gave him wrong Charger, failed to notice for 2 months

Wed, Dec 31 2014

Mistakes happen, and they happen all the time. But when that mistake means a customer doesn't get what he or she paid for, something's gotta give. That's what one Dodge Charger buyer claims he is trying to sort out with his local dealership. Two months after taking delivery, the owner (going by the user name Dakrbouncer4689 on Reddit) says he got a call from his local Dodge dealership reporting a little problem. He had ordered and paid for the Charger SXT (pictured above on the dealer lot), but was given a Charger SE instead. The SE being the lower trim level, this presented one set of problems – namely a $2,000 discrepancy in equipment, like a five-speed automatic versus an eight-speed, a 4.3-inch infotainment display instead of 8.4, heated seats, leather steering wheel, premium audio, remote starter and so on. The second set of issues is that the VIN number on the paperwork (including the registration and insurance papers) of course doesn't match that of the car itself. The dealer, having obviously made a rather large mistake, apparently called the owner in to sort out the mess, but according to the customer's account, things didn't go as smoothly. Instead of immediately working to address the problem, the salesman kept the owner waiting, acted like it was no big deal, and offered only to swap the cars with no compensation for the trouble. Fortunately, the manager proved more sympathetic and apologetic, and offered the customer three options: he could swap the cars (re-doing the tinted windows on the SXT that the customer had done on the SE and throwing in leather seats for free), he could keep the SE (with the dealership handling the paperwork, throwing in the leather seats, adjusting the price and refunding an extra $400), or they could cancel everything, return the car and part company. As we go to press, the Charger owner had yet to make (or at least share) his decision. But while the principle of caveat emptor makes us wonder how he managed to take home a different car from the one he paid for, clearly the salesman and the dealership made a pretty large mistake by presenting him with the wrong set of keys and letting him off the lot without double checking it all.
