Selling my mobile office due to my company providing a company vehicle instead.   Can also be adapted to a media van as well.  It is a 2006 Mercedes (also can be badged as a Dodge or Freightliner) Sprinter.  This is the last year of the dependable 2.7 Turbo diesel cdi and last year before the problematic Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) added to '07 models.  It has a 118 wheelbase, which
means parking in a normal size parking space and far easier to drive.  It also gets far better fuel economy then its larger cousins.  Highway fuel economy is 23 to 24 mpg depending on speed. It is set up as a mobile office with a wrap around desk.  As for the history of the truck, I am the 3rd owner.  The chasis had approximately 260,000 miles and was set up originally as a simple cargo van.  The second owner, stripped the van, sand blasted the exterior, repaired and repainted.  Powertrain components were removed from a wrecked Sprinter of the same year with 70K miles.  Total cost of the project was well over $25K.

Features:

* Back door contains a 60" plasma TV for outdoor advertising purposes.

* Two Inverters: One 4,000 W and the other 3,000 W

* Various computer accessories including a mounted 27" Sony widescreen monitor, wireless mouse & keyboard.

* GPS tracking device + Emergency panic button close to driver seat.  When hooked up with T-mobile, can track the location of the vehicle plus receive warnings in the event of a car-jacking.

* Remote anti-theft alarm system with ignition disabler

* Rear infrared back-up camera

* Remote starting for cold morning convenience

* Window tinting

* Towing Package

Absolutely everything works on the truck.  I do drive the truck so mileage will vary a small amount.  Oil changes have always been regular at 7,000 mile intervals.  Full transmission service completed at the local Mercedes dealership six months ago.  Car-fax is available upon request.  Also, contact me for reserve price if you wish. Payment in full is due within 72 hours of the close of auction.

Delivery may be available to any of the 48 states for expenses only.  Please confirm the exact amount prior to bidding if you would like a delivery quote.  Can deliver within 2 weeks, but payment is still due 72 hours after the auction.  Vehicle is located in Buffalo, NY.

Please reply for more information.  I can usually respond right away as all messages come straight to my smart phone.

2014 Dodge Durango teaser reveals new 'racetrack' taillights

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

Not wanting to let Jeep get all of the SUV attention for the 2014 model year, Dodge is unveiling a refreshed version of its Durango at the New York Auto Show. Teased in this image, all we can really tell about the 2014 Dodge Durango is that it will be getting Dodge's "racetrack" taillights similar to the Charger and Dart.
The chrome or painted strip currently between the Durango's Zorro taillamps have been removed to allow for a full-width LED array with "DODGE" lettering displayed more prominently above the license plate pocket. Parent company Chrysler also promises that the updated Durango will add "several new class-exclusive features," but stops short of saying what those are. Earlier reports suggest that among the changes, buyers will be able to look forward to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, which ought to improve the three-row SUV's fuel efficiency.

2013 Dodge Dart gets all Moparized

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

Last year, Chrysler announced it would be offering more than 150 Mopar parts and accessories on the 2013 Dodge Dart, and we got a look at some of these parts firsthand at the Chicago Auto Show. Showing off all the optional parts at once would surely create a gaudy monstrosity, so Chrysler chose to equip this particular Dart GT with just a handful of Mopar goodies, which still gave the car a nice and tasteful custom look that is available straight from the dealership (and with a full warranty, too).
Decked out in a factory color called Header Orange Clear Coat - also a very appropriate show car hue - this car added exterior styling parts such as the vented, carbon fiber hood, the bolt-on front chin spoiler and a matte black decklid spoiler. Looking inside the car, you'd think the red-accented interior is part of the Mopar parts bin, too, but this is actually what the standard Dart GT cabin will look like when it goes on sale.

This or That: 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10 vs. 2005 Subaru WRX STI [w/poll]

Thu, May 7 2015

Some cars, due to ultimate desirability, particular rareness, or spectacular performance/prestige eventually become collectible. It's darn near impossible to know which ones will make it into the rarefied stratosphere of collectibility – why is a late 1960s AMC AMX so affordable these days, whereas prices for late '70s Pontiac Trans Ams are soaring? – but there are some useful indicators to keep tabs on. We're not exactly experts on investing, but we do know cars. As such, we've decided to take our non-expertise on one hand, combine it in the other with our knowledge of all things automotive, wad it up, throw it out and ask for your forgiveness. Or something like that. I've challenged Senior Editor Seyth Miersma to choose a car he thinks will become a future collector's item that's not more than 10 years old, and for no more than $25,000. I've done the same, and we vigorously argued for and against each other's picks. I feel good about my choice, but I don't have the best track record in these contests (I've lost three times, won twice, but they've all been pretty close), so, while I'm not going to beg (please vote for me!), I do hope you find my argument convincing. But first, let's hear from Seyth: Miersma: Ten-years old or newer makes this challenging. At that age most vehicles feel like a plain old used car to me, few hit the "classic" button. But the Subaru WRX STI has always been a special car, and the 2005 cutoff year proves to be very attractive for the parameters of our contest. It's rare; with fewer than 5,000 STI models sold that model year. It's probably the best looking WRX STI ever sold in America; narrowly avoiding the dreadful "horse collar" front fascia. And it's got one of the more die-hard car-geek followings out there. For $25,000, you can also still find examples that have reasonable miles, are in good condition, and haven't all been molested by grown-up Initial D wannabes. With the street racers hacking up collectable examples every day, I like my odds for steep appreciation by way of conservation. I couldn't agree more. It really is difficult to predict what cars will catch the eye of collectors, and the WRX STI seems like a pretty good choice. But I think mine is even better, and I can't let him know that I'd love to park just such an STI in my very own garage. And so goes my argument: Korzeniewski: I like your choice as a driver, Seyth. I'm less convinced of its status as a sure-fire collectible.
