We are proud to offer this very rare and extremely nice example of a 2006 Freightliner 2500 140" wheelbase high top Sprinter cargo glass van ... This Sprinter is in extremely nice condition inside and out, was just inspected and serviced by the local Sprinter dealer, and needs nothing! It is set up for use by a commercial and residential glass shop in Muncie, IN, but if another business wanted to use the van in other ways all exterior racks are pressure mounted (no screws in the body) and easily removable. The body is in very nice condition with no rust, and the glass, interior, seats, etc. all are very clean. These vans are usually used hard and not taken very good care of cosmetically. We sell quite a few Sprinters and I only deal in the nicest examples that I make sure are 100% mechanically correct. It is the *only* Sprinter I have ever seen for sale with the glass rack setup. VERY rare!! These are very hard to find in this condition and with this extremely low mileage for the model year. Built by Mercedes-Benz, dead reliable with great fuel economy, huge hauling capacity and endless options for cargo area - useful in 100 different ways to 100 different businesses. Nice examples are few and far between and this one is *very* nice - don't miss out on it!

2006 Freightliner 2500SHC 140" WB 5-door High Top Sprinter glass van (VIN: WDYPD644065968487), arctic white ext. with grey fabric seats, 147,200 miles, 5-spd. auto trans, standard 140" wheel base with 5 doors, 3/4 ton chassis, high top version with sliding side door and rear barn doors, seats two, 2.7L DOHC Inline-5 cyl. Mercedes-Benz common rail turbo diesel engine (154hp. & 243 lb-ft. torque), electronic fuel injection, rack & pinion power steering, independent front suspension with solid live rear axle suspension, 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS, stability & traction control with electronic brakeforce distribution, high top cargo van with manual windows / door locks / ext. mirrors, cruise control and tow package. Van is set up for use by a glass company with two pressure fitted exterior glass racks (removable with no holes drilled in the body) and interior glass rack as well as a cabinet / shelving unit. Solid front divider. Drives great (was driven to southern IN from Indianapolis) and everything works incl. ice cold a/c. Clean AutoCheck report and 1 owner since new - Just had a full service and inspection by the local Sprinter dealer and needs nothing. Most owners report fuel mileage anywhere from 21-25 mpg. city and even higher highway, 26.4 gallon fuel capacity. Dodge lets us drive 100-years' worth of history [w/videos]

A raft of important production models from the last hundred years were available for me to either drive or ride in.
Dodge is 100 years old this year. So, as happened on Ford's recent centennial, the 50-year birthday of the Porsche 911, and others, the company has an excuse to trot out the highlights of its history next to its upcoming model lineup, and declare that "these are the fruits of the Dodge Boys' tree whose roots have grown strong." Or something like that. Never so hampered by marketing skepticism that I'll pass up the opportunity to burn someone else's rubber, I was happy to drive out to Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, MI - former grand estate of the Dodge family - to hear the spiel.

Chrysler's Woodward Dream Cruise festivities include Ram concept truck debut

The streets will be crowded next weekend along Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, Michigan for the 19th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise. As part of the run-up to the festivities, Chrysler has announced that all of its brands - Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Fiat, SRT and Mopar - will bring along their latest vehicles. Also included will be a collection of classic American cars and various activities for attendees at the official Chrysler location on the corner of Woodward and 13 Mile Road.
Special to this year, Ram brand director Bob Hegbloom and head of design John Dehner will unveil a Ram concept truck on Saturday. Chrysler will also bring Ryan Friedlinghaus of West Coast Customs fame along to show off a few custom Chrysler-made vehicles of his own. Fans of the brand on Facebook will get the chance to virtually customize a vehicle from the automaker's portfolio, with the winner getting their dream car built for them by Chrysler. Pretty cool stuff, no?
As in past years, Ford and General Motors will have an official presence at the event as well, and you can expect to see plenty of cars of all makes and models from all parts of the globe. The madness starts this Friday, August 16, from 4:30 PM to 10 PM, with the main event taking place on Saturday, from 9 AM to 9 PM.
