2006 Dodge Sprinter 2500 High Top Passenger Van 3-door 2.7l No Reserve! on 2040-cars
Crown Point, Indiana, United States
Hello everyone. Up for sale is my 2006 dodge sprinter. It has the 2.75 inline cylinder Mercedes Benz (in my opinion, the best Diesel engine Mercedes ever made. They have been putting them on their vehicles successfully for the past 30 years or more.) It has 140,500 miles on it so far. It has never seen snow. She is parked in our barn. We recently before we parked it for the winter, put a new oxygen sensor in it. It has front a/c and a rear a/c unit. This van has the extra height which would allow a 6 foot tall person to stand clear inside the van. It has the tires with at least 70% thread left. The chrome Mercedes Benz wheels instead of the regular steel wheels which make the van look much nicer. It has the ground effects and the two toned paint. OK. now on the inside everything works the way it should except for the glove compartment latch. Sometimes it doesn't want to stay closed. But all the A/C vents and everything else is clean. It has 14 seats. We removed the second row to allow more room between the driver and the next row. Also, It has a towing package up to 10,000 pound hitch installed about 5 months ago. The upholstery is clean and the headliner also. The best feature this van has is the mpg. WE GOT UP TO 27 MPG IN ONE TRIP. And, even towing makes 16.7 mpg. We got room for the whole family inside the van and tons of spare room in the rear in case someone wants to take a nap on a long trip. We are selling it even though we don't want to because we have wayyy too many toys and we just bought a big toy hauler. So don't miss out on this great vehicle. I've seen Sprinters going between 600,000 - 800,000 miles and they keep on going. Which means that this baby has plenty of life on that engine. We also have a few spare parts including shocks, alternator and such and a jump seat. That will go with the lucky winner. So, we are selling the vehicle as is. This is a fair price. If you need to come and look at the vehicle, you are welcome to but you will have to call me first at 773-620-1014. Thank you and God Bless You. |

Chevy Corvette Stingray defeating rivals where it matters most
Wed, 16 Jul 2014Everything is coming up roses for the award-winning Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, as new data from the North American Dealers Association dissected by GM Authority reveals that America's sports car is handily outselling two of its more expensive rivals.
Through June of 2014, the NADA notes that the Corvette has rung up 17,744 sales, handily besting the Porsche 911 and positively spanking the SRT Viper. Of course, you're sitting there thinking, "Corvette is outselling the much more expensive Porsche and Viper. Sky blue, water wet." But what's impressive here is just how thoroughly the Chevrolet is beating its two rivals, with this data serving as a testament to just how popular the seventh-generation sports car has become.
So far this year, Porsche has managed to move 5,169 911s, according to NADA. Considering that the base model starts at nearly $15,000 more than the most heavily optioned Stingray, and that Porsche owners have a vast, expensive options catalogue to select from, Stuttgart's sales are still plenty impressive in relation to the nearly 18,000 Corvettes sold.
Marchionne may stay with FCA until 2020
Mon, Aug 31 2015We might get to see Sergio Marchionne and his vast array of sweaters in the auto industry for even longer than expected. The FCA CEO suggested last year that he would retire from the automaker when its current five-year plan was complete in 2018. Now, he has tentatively extended that point out to at least 2020. "I can do this for another five years if you push me, right? Beyond that, I ain't gonna do it, and I don't want to," he said to Automotive News. That would give Marchionne a 16-year career at the top from joining Fiat in 2004 to possibly leaving FCA in 2020. Although, take the CEO's statement with a grain of salt because he has made multiple statements about the timing for his retirement. In 2012, Marchionne said he would only remain in charge until 2015, which is, well, now. Those five years might also go quite quickly because Marchionne is a busy guy with the Ferrari IPO, the attempted merger with General Motors, implementing FCA's five-year plan, and many other projects. He's already considering the next CEO, though. "My purpose in life is to find the Kuniskises of the world, the Manleys, the Biglands, the Palmers," Marchionne said to Automotive News, referencing the heads at Dodge, Jeep, FCA North America, and the company's chief financial officer, respectively. "I told them, 'One of you is going to do what I do one day. I don't know who that is, but one of you is going to do it.'" Dodge, Hyundai crowdsourced-funding sites deemed successes
Wed, 05 Jun 2013What's not to love about crowdsourcing? This idea, after all, has given us Kickstarter as well Local Motors, but automakers are starting to use the social platform to sell more cars (or just drum up a little PR). Both Dodge and Hyundai have used "crowd-funding" recently, and while Automotive News is reporting that neither has racked up big sales with this gimmick, both automakers are pleased with the attention.
For Hyundai, it teamed up with website Motozuma.com to help customers crowdsource money for a down payment, and the automaker matched this amount up to $500. Last year, this helped Hyundai sell an extra 1,600 units, a fraction of its total 2012 sales. That figure is far larger than Dodge fared with the Dodge Dart Registry - it netted only two sales and a small number of individual options. This registry did help University of Southern California fraternity crowdsource $18,000 to buy a Dart for a local Meals on Wheels, however. Despite the low sales figures, Dodge and Hyundai are considering their crowdsourcing programs a success since it helped them connect with younger buyers.
