Conversion Van on 2040-cars
Palm Coast, Florida, United States
This is the cleanest and best maintained conversion van you will find on the market. See photo of the original stickerIf you have never owned one of these, there is a lot to know before making a purchase...First and foremost, low mileage means nothing on these cars. It is all about maintenance. Before you buy one of these make sure you know what you are getting into. If you find one with 50,000 miles on it but it has had 10 owners....RUN!!!. It means that the previous owners did not want to put any money into the maintenance of it and it surely needs a lot of TLC. You will be buying a nightmare....
I bought this car from a original owner. He was the original owner since 1993. I had all the maintenance records when I bought it. This car has only garage kept. It has never seen snow or salted roads. The under carriage is in perfect condition.
Replaced radiator. Replaced thermostat. Replaced alternator. Replaced battery. Replaced all belts rebuilt AC including new compressor replaced the Plenum Gaskets and all vapor lines on the top of the motor. This has to be done on all of them or they will leak air and never idle properly. ( If you find one that idles up and down slightly, this is why.) Replaced all brake pads with OEM pads Removed and turned all 4 rotors. Rebuilt all calipers. Replaced the rack and pinion with the Dodge Rack Replaced compliance bushings Replaced plug wires with thicker silicone wires much better performance than the old thin ones Replaced spark plugs with NGK OEM plugs. Replaced all 4 tires. Removed and replaced all fluids including the differential, Transmission, Radiator. Rebuilt all wheel bearings and repacked with the appropriate lubricant. Rebuilt shock tubes - these are little hidden green tubes that most people don't know exist, but are critical to the stability of the rear of the car The things above would have cost about $10,000.00 at a Dodge Dealer - This is why is so critical to really understand this car before you buy one. There is nothing else like them. They are incredible, but it takes the right person to own one. Fortunately, this one is ready for another 80K miles. There are no guarantees but I have taken away most of the potential problems you could have with owning one of these for a long-time. Miles could be vary because I still drive it. This van has TV, DVD, Back view camera. |

Dodge Charger Hellcat hitting 60 in 2.9 seconds on drag radials?
Thu, 02 Oct 2014The Dodge boys and their cousins from SRT have shoehorned the same 707-horsepower, 6.2-liter supercharged V8 into both the Dodge Challenger and Charger. The former being a two-door, it's lighter than the latter four-door sedan. So it would stand to reason that the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat would be the quicker of the two, right?
Only that's not necessarily proving to be the case. On stock rubber, yes, the coupe beats the sedan: Dodge quotes a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds for the Charger SRT Hellcat and 3.5 for the Challenger. Same gap across the quarter-mile: 11 seconds flat for the Charger versus 10.8 seconds for the Challenger. But according to recent reports, the story changes when you put both on drag radials.
While visiting Chrysler HQ in Auburn Hills, MI, TorqueNews.com caught wind of performance figures for the Charger Hellcat on drag tires: 0-60 in a mind-blowing 2.9 seconds and a quarter-mile in just 10.7. The latter figure just barely pips the Hellcat-powered Challenger's NHRA-certified figure of 10.8, making the Charger not only the fastest sedan on the market, but also the fastest muscle car. What isn't immediately clear, however, is whether the drag radials in question have any tread on them and are street-legal, or if they're pure slicks confined to a closed strip.
Chrysler's Jefferson North plant builds 5-millionth SUV [w/video]
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Chrysler's Jefferson North Assembly Plant opened in 1992 for production of the first Jeep Grand Cherokee, but in the subsequent years, the Detroit plant has gone on to produce some of the company's biggest SUVs including the Jeep Commander and Dodge Durango. Earlier this week, the plant produced its five-millionth SUV, which, fittingly, was a Grand Cherokee.
Celebrating the plant's five-millionth unit, the silver 2014 Grand Cherokee was promptly donated to the USO. In addition to this milestone SUV, Chrysler also had a near-perfect 1993-95 ZJ Grand Cherokee on hand for the photo op. Scroll down for the Chrysler press release as well as a video showing some of the speeches from the celebration.
Dodge Challenger Hellcat drift video is pure horsepower porn
Fri, Mar 27 2015We could listen to the whining, snarling 6.2-liter Hemi V8 in the Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats all day long. The noise just sounds like power that's being barely restrained and is everything about a muscle car that's right. The team at Pennzoil apparently understands that allure, too. The oil company has a new video where it lets the engine roar for over a minute, while a Challenger does some big, smoky drifts through an abandoned city. The whole stunt is edited together in a slickly produced way that looks fantastic. Although, the big finale might go a little too far and starts straining believability. Nonetheless, the Hellcat's wonderful noise is still the star of this show. Related Video:
