1991 Dodge Ram250 Coachman Conversion Van on 2040-cars
Appleton, Wisconsin, United States
1991 Dodge RAM250 Coachman Conversion Van. 142,000 miles, 318 V8, All Power The body is getting rough in a few spots and the paint has started to peel, but she runs well and is nice inside! In the last 500 Miles she has got a new ignition switch, new alternator, Mallory Ignition Coil, distributor cap & rotor, spark plugs, plug wires, PCV valve and Throttle Position Sensor. In the last 5000 miles she’s had a complete 4 wheel brake job, new bushings in the front end, a wheel alignment and all four shocks replaced (Air Shocks in rear, Rancho shocks up front), a transmission filter and fluid change, a new high capacity battery and a washable FRAM AirHog air filter. Though she runs and drives, she needs a mechanically inclined
individual to install the following parts (which are included in the sale) to
make her as reliable as ever; a new
Electric High Pressure Tank Mounted Fuel Pump
and Fail Safe Thermostat. I'm also including a T-Stat housing gasket and
new upper radiator hose along with a few more spare parts, a repair manual and
an oil filter, as she is due for an oil change too. Tires are pretty "tired" as well. |

Ram to go on a Rampage with new small pickup?
Wed, 16 Jul 2014When people look back at today's automotive industry, what do you think they'll remember us for? The emergence of hybrids? Ever more expensive and exotic supercars? The dawn of the self-driving car? All likely scenarios, but so is the blurring of lines between one bodystyle and another, giving rise to hardtop convertible coupes and crossovers of every shape and size. But one bodystyle the North American auto industry has stayed largely away from in the past couple of decades is a car nose and chassis with a pickup bed.
It's a bodystyle immortalized by the Chevrolet El Camino, but with few exceptions, we haven't seen too many of these automotive platypuses in recent years on our turf. Subaru tried with the Baja and the low-volume Honda Ridgeline soldiers along largely unchanged, but the genre's biggest adherents are still Down Under, where ute versions of the Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon live. With a few other examples scattered to the four corners of the earth, that's really about it. But if these spy shots are anything to go by, it looks like Fiat Chrysler Automobiles could be working to bring it back.
Spied undergoing testing in Michigan, what we appear to be looking at is a heavily disguised Fiat Strada being prepared - like the Fiat Ducato-based Ram ProMaster and the smaller Doblo-based ProMaster City - for Stateside duty as a Ram product. The Strada, for those unfamiliar, is a product of Fiat Automóveis in Brazil and is based on the Palio economy car. The nameplate has been around South America since 1996 and was originally designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro (long before Volkswagen monopolized his talents), and takes a more rugged approach in the form of the Strada Adventure.

"This is a car that most brands would never bring to market." - Tim Kuniskis
Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis had reason to be confident, perhaps even a bit cocky at the reveal of his brand's newest halo car, the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. As he said simply, it's the "quickest, fastest and most powerful sedan in the world."
2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee
Tue, 12 Mar 2013I can pinpoint the exact moment when I fell in love with this car. It was starting down a nearly straight entrance ramp at 15 miles per hour when I buried the throttle. In a moment, I was thrown back into my seat as the big SRT8's engine came to life with commensurate sound, fury and force, bringing me up to 75 mph in what felt like two blinks of an eye. This thing feels so much quicker than its 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque would lead you to believe. And mashing the right pedal never, ever gets old.
But beyond sheer speed, I found a whole lot to like about the Charger SRT8 during my week with the Pitch Black test car here in Detroit. And while the whole Super Bee kit isn't really my style, it's really easy to overlook those badges for a package that offers so much for so little.
