I am selling my brother's 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel truck. He passed away recently and this is more truck than we need. He was a transport driver so even though it has high mileage (all mostly highway miles) it still has a Kelly Blue book value of over $13,000! He was even talking with Dodge about getting another truck once this one reached 1 million miles - who knows?  For those of you who are familiar with Dodge and the Cummins engine you know that the high mileage means nothing.  This is a strong engine and it runs fine.  It started right up after sitting at my brother's house for 3 months and then we took off and drove it 500 miles to Tucson without a single problem.

It does have some cosmetic damage from a run-in with a young moose in Canada last year (if this truck could talk)! It runs fine and the only thing it really needs is a little work on the synchros. My husband is a mechanic and did a lot of the regular maintenance on the truck for my brother.  We have a new compressor available for the air conditioner (either we can install it or we can knock something off the price if you want to install it).  My brother passed away before he could install it.

Here is a list of amenities: 6-cylinder, manual 6-speed transmission, Cummins HO turbo diesel, 4-wheel drive, 4 doors, additional 100-gallon fuel tank included, large diamond plate tool box included, rails for 5th wheel hitch (goose-neck hitch included), ABS, air conditioning, power doors and windows, power steering, cruise control, tilt wheel, AM/FM stereo, CD player, dual air bags, additional heavy-duty grill guard included, steel wheels, Weston running boards, tire jack and lug wrench, air horn, extended RV mirrors, spare parts (water pump, belts, hoses, etc.).

This truck is loaded and ready to go! We are selling it for only enough to pay ourselves back for the loan he had on it that we had to pay off to change the title over.

Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines

Fri, 16 Nov 2012

Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.

Chrysler recalling 49K Chargers for headlight components

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

Chrysler has issued a recall for about 49,375 2011 and 2012 Dodge Chargers with halogen headlamps due to a problem with the lights. The automaker says that there could be an issue with the jumper harness and other related components.
The automaker says that 43,450 cars are affected in the US, 2,850 in Canada, 375 in Mexico and 2,700 outside of North America. The vehicles will have their headlight assemblies, including the jumper harnesses and bulbs, inspected and potentially replaced. Dodge says that its engineers investigated reports of that were similar to what was found when it recalled about 10,000 police Chargers in 2012 for overheating light components. There have been no injuries or accidents related to fault, according to Chrysler.
The automaker will be in contact with affected owners, and schedule the service. Naturally, any repairs will be free of charge. Scroll down for the company's full announcement.

Chrysler recalling 278,222 trucks and SUVs over bad rear axles

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

Chrysler has issued a recall of 278,222 light trucks and sport utility vehicles here in the United States. The reason: bad rear axles. Specifically, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the rear axle pinion nut may lack a necessary adhesive patch, which could cause the nut to loosen. If this happens, the axle can lock up, which could cause all sorts of havoc on the road.
This is an expansion of the rear axle recall announced in October of last year, where 44,300 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota models were being called in. At that time, 12 accidents had been reported due to the faulty axle pinion nut.
Affected vehicles include Ram 1500 trucks from the 2009 to 2012 model years, Dodge Dakota models from the 2009 to 2011 model years, and both the Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango SUV twins, both from the 2009 model year only.
